Dist administration prepares for CM's visit to Kothacheruvu
On Sunday, Collector Chetan, along with SP V Ratna and Joint Collector Abhishek Kumar, conducted a review meeting at Sri Sathya Sai Government Junior College in Kothacheruvu. The Collector directed officials to adhere strictly to standard operating procedures (SOPs), emphasising robust police security, infrastructure readiness, and protocol compliance at all venues. The CM is likely to attend the Mega Parent-Teachers Meeting (PTM) 2.0 at ZP Boys and Girls High Schools and the Government Junior College. District-level officers have been assigned specific responsibilities to ensure flawless execution of the visit.
Post-meeting, Collector Chetan, SP Ratna, Joint Collector Kumar, and former Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy inspected the ZP schools and Government Junior College, reviewing classrooms and campus grounds. They issued instructions to relevant departments to complete preparations promptly. Earlier, the team also visited Puttaparthi Airport to assess arrangements.
The administration is focused on ensuring all aspects of the Chief Minister's visit, from security to infrastructure, are meticulously planned for a successful event.

GUNTUR: In a shining example of responsive governance and community-driven development, the Bapatla Municipal High School has undergone a complete transformation within a year, fulfilling a promise made by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu during a landmark event. I congratulate everyone who contributed to this remarkable transformation. I urge students and teachers to uphold the name of Bapatla Municipal High School by striving for academic excellence.' According to Bapatla District Education Officer S Purushottam, the school has 747 students and 27 teachers.

All above 18 yrs urged to enroll as voters
Puttaparthi (Sri Sathya Sai district): District Collector T S Chetan has urged all eligible citizens who have completed 18 years of age by January 1, 2026, to enroll their names in electoral rolls. Addressing a meeting with representatives of political parties at the mini-conference hall of the Collectorate on Friday, the Collector, along with DRO Vijayasaradhi, emphasised the importance of updating the voter list. He stated that those who have passed away, migrated permanently from the village, or whose names appear more than once in the list will be removed. He also mentioned that the Election Commission has provided opportunities to correct errors in voter details, such as name, age, and other particulars. A total of 1,576 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been appointed for this task. One officer per constituency has been trained in New Delhi to supervise the process in all six constituencies of the district. Collector Chetan instructed leaders of political parties to conduct meetings at the constituency level to discuss updates on voter rolls and polling station adjustments. Applications are being accepted constituency-wise, and the voter registration process is being expedited, he said. Booth Level Officers are currently conducting door-to-door visits to register eligible voters. Citizens who wish to make corrections or modifications to their voter details can approach the concerned Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and submit their applications. Representatives from various political parties attended the meeting, including Samakoti Adinarayana from TDP, Bharat Kumar from BJP, Ravinayak from YSRCP, Satish Kumar from JSP, and Nagaraju from BSP, along with other election cell officials.

Mega PTM 2.0 draws 2.3 crore participants at 61k schools in Andhra
ANANTAPUR: In a landmark initiative, the Andhra Pradesh government organised Mega Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) 2.0 on Thursday, drawing over 2.3 crore participants across 61,000 schools in the State in a single day. Spearheaded by HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, the PTM united students, parents, teachers, school management committees, officials, donors, and alumni to bolster the State's education system. Held on Guru Purnima, the PTM at the Zilla Parishad High School in Kothacheruvu, Puttaparthi, Sri Sathya Sai district, was attended by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who described schools as modern temples of knowledge, and urged collective responsibility to nurture them. The PTM, the second major initiative under the TDP-led NDA government, marked an unprecedented effort, with Lokesh noting, 'Never before has a parent-teacher meeting been conducted across the entire State in one day.' Now, the Mega PTM 2.0 with over 2.3 crore participants in a single day is set for an entry into Guinness World Records. Naidu, engaging directly with students, parents, and teachers, shared a personal anecdote about his wife Bhuvaneswari's dedication to their son Lokesh's education, ensuring his admission to prestigious institutions like Cambridge and Stanford. He praised Lokesh, now HRD Minister, for taking the responsibility of shaping the future of Andhra Pradesh's students. Naidu emphasised his commitment to elevating government schools to compete with private institutions.
