Kate's Ex-Employee Might've Leaked How She Really Feels About Meghan Amid Report She Saw Harry as a ‘Stepping Stone' to ‘Fame & Fortune'
Now, Kate Middleton's longtime right-hand woman, Natasha Archer, who just departed Kensington Palace to set up her own private consultancy firm, might have just given a hint as to what the relationship between Middleton and Markle is. And it's not a very good one.

Archer recently made her Instagram public, which allowed royal fans to realize that she'd unfollowed Meghan Markle's Instagram account, as well as her As Ever brand, both of which she had previously been following. Archer had also been following Daniel Martin, Delfina Blaquier, and Heather Dorak, close friends of Markle, and unfollowed them as well. She even unfollowed the Highbrow Hippie page that belongs to another of Markle's close friends and hair colorist, Kadi Lee.
She did not unfollow two of Markle's Suits costars, Abigail Spencer and Sarah Rafferty, but in general, Archer did a cleanup of anything related to Markle. And she didn't just cut ties with everything having to do with the royal family after quitting, as she still follows the Prince and Princess of Wales' official Instagram account, as well as the royal family's page. She also still follows Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, as well as Beatrice's husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
The news might, of course, mean nothing. Archer has probably not had direct contact with Markle in years, and with her trying to start a new business, she might have just been cleaning up her Instagram to only follow accounts of people she is directly in contact with, or that help her new endeavor. But the optics are what they are, considering the relations between the British royal family. And it makes it look like Kate and Meghan don't really get along.
It all comes after reports that William was always skeptical about Markle. Royal biographer and commentator Phil Dampier told the Sun, 'She saw as a stepping stone getting married to Harry to new fame and fortune. And I think that's what initially Prince William was concerned about.' Dampier also said this contributed to the feud between Prince William and his youngest brother, Prince Harry. 'That's why they fell out. And now we are where we are.'
Whether Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's relationship will ever be different than what it is now might depend on whether King Charles and Prince Harry, and by extension Prince William, can ever fix their relationship. Recent reports indicate that father and son might be ready for a reconciliation after Prince Harry invited his father to the next Invictus Games, which are taking place in Birmingham in 2027. Sources even said that the King would want both Harry and Meghan to be heavily involved with his funeral. So, all is not lost. But for now, it seems like things are still tense.

Kenneth Colley, 87, ‘Star Wars' Actor With a Commanding Presence, Dies
Kenneth Colley, the British character actor whose stone-cold portrayal of Adm. Firmus Piett, Darth Vader's trusted officer, in the Star Wars film 'The Empire Strikes Back' turned him into a fan favorite and earned him a call back for 'Return of the Jedi,' died on June 30 in Ashford, England. He was 87. His agent, Julian Owen, said in a statement that he died in a hospital from complications of pneumonia after contracting Covid-19. Mr. Colley became a memorable screen presence for international audiences who could recognize his dour, stony face even if they didn't know his name. A versatile supporting actor, he was often tapped to play stern detectives, military men and, on multiple occasions, Adolf Hitler, and had been active for nearly two decades onstage and onscreen before his appearance in 'The Empire Strikes Back' (1980). In a 2014 interview, he recalled that when he walked into an office to meet Irvin Kershner, the director of 'The Empire Strikes Back,' Mr. Kershner told him he was looking for 'someone that would frighten Adolf Hitler.' Mr. Colley, with his gaunt face and steely eyes, fit the bill. Admiral Piett is appointed top commander of the Imperial fleet after his superior is killed by Darth Vader (whose physical presence is played by David Prowse) for his poor judgment. Mr. Colley often said that he saw Admiral Piett as a shrewd operator who followed orders for the sake of survival in Darth Vader's world. In his interpretation of the character, he reinforced the severity and tension felt in the camp as the Rebel alliance evades capture. The film grossed more than $200 million in its original release, according to the site Box Office Mojo, with Admiral Piett emerging as an unexpected crowd pleaser. Want all of The Times? Subscribe.

Thousands defy rain to celebrate Pride festival
Thousands of people defied the downpours to take part in Leeds Pride this weekend. The vibrant annual festival, which celebrates LGBTQ+ life, was held in the city centre on Sunday. Despite the miserable weather, there were smiles everywhere as huge numbers turned out to watch the parade make its way across The Headrow amid a party atmosphere. Several people who attended claimed Leeds had one of the best Pride festivals. One woman, who went to the celebration with her partner and her partner's daughter, said: "Leeds Pride is one of my favourite Prides and I've been to a lot of them. "I like the family feel about this place. It keeps me coming back every year and I'm really excited to be here. "Despite the rain the atmosphere feels like it's buzzing." Pride's distinctive rainbow colours, music, dancing and drag queens all formed part of the fun at the festival, which was first held in Leeds in 2006. Another woman who attended said: "My son came out as gay one-and-a-half years ago, so I wanted to be here for him and to celebrate equality for everyone. "It's amazing. I'm absolutely loving it!" Nazir Uddin, who is originally from Bangladesh, said he had to hide his sexuality until he came to the UK. He said: "It is illegal to be homosexual in my country. "It's not just Bangladesh, there are still 64 countries where it's still illegal, so I'm here to represent all of those who are still hiding their sexuality. "I never experienced this (Pride) back home, so it's like heaven for me and I feel very safe here." Former Barcelona star responds to Rashford signing with social media message
A one-time member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has provided his response to the news of the club's deal for Manchester United star Marcus Rashford. Rashford's name has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya's capital over the last 24 hours. This comes after the long-running saga linking the 27-year-old with a move to the Camp Nou was finally brought to a definitive end. After Deco and co. made the call to open official negotiations with their counterparts at Manchester United, a loan deal for the 2025/26 campaign was quickly put in place between the parties. Rashford's impending arrival has since been met with something of a mixed response across the Barcelona fanbase, with some enthused by the signing, and others largely underwhelmed. As alluded to above, though, one individual who certainly appears to be excited by the prospect of his fellow countryman lining out in Blaugrana colours is Gary Lineker. In the aftermath of Saturday's Rashford news coming to the fore online, one-time Barca striker Lineker quickly took to his official Instagram account, to unveil a new profile picture: Conor Laird – GSFN
