Woman who spent over €1m to shrink waist to 18 inches says she's 'not done yet'
Aleira Avendano, who is 33, says she has other plans for her body, adding that as well as managing to get her waist down to a tiny size, she has also had seven boob jobs.
The Florida-based yoga instructor says she managed to achieve her tiny waist by wearing a corset, and is determined to beat the current record held by 86-year-old Cathie Yung, whose waist incredibly measures just 15 inches.
Aleira's says her controversial methods have caused her internal organs to 'shift and adjust' to new spots within her body, but even with this, she says she is not ready to quit.
She admits to finding clothes shopping a challenge as nothing fits properly, adding 'My sizes are unique, and I have naturally wide hips' – 'I have to have clothes custom-made '.
Speaking to The Sun Newspaper Aleira says 'It's been a major investment – enhancements, treatments and healthy food, a huge commitment. Honestly, my body should be insured.'
As well as spending over €1 million on achieving her tiny waist, Aleira has also spent almost half a million pounds sterling on cosmetic procedures and surgeries, including seven boob jobs, four nose jobs and getting new smile with veneers. She believes all women should have plastic surgery to become 'truly beautiful'.
At the start of her journey to minimise her waist, Aleira wore a corset six hours a day, but she has now ramped this up to 23 hours, and admits that wearing a corset for that long every day comes with a host of issues, like breathing difficulties organ compression and muscle atrophy.
However, the Venuzuelan-born model hasn't let any of this deter her and has launched her own brand of shapewear which she claims will help people to achieve her 'one of a kind look', and says her shapewear line will change many lives.
Speaking about the reaction of the world to her story Aleira says, 'some follow me, some feel nervous, and others admire me or see my body as something crazy'. But she added that men 'can't get enough' of her 'exotic' figure.

Who was Martha Nolan-O'Slattara - the golden girl with the world at her feet
The Hamptons area of New York State is well known worldwide, for its affluent lifestyle and as a playground for the super-rich on the Northeast coast of the United States. Its leafy, sun-drenched, sandy neighbourhoods on the water are a mecca for wealthy holidaymakers escaping the hustle and bustle of New York City, and the harbours with picturesque lighthouses dotting the shoreline make it instantly recognisable as simply 'The Hamptons' Montauk is one such town along the coast and is an exclusive and wealthy enclave where the rich and famous come for some R&R away from the noise of the city. Martha Nolan-O'Slatarra. Pic: TikTok So, how did a beautiful young Irish woman make this part of the US her home? Martha Nolan O'Slattera was originally from Co Carlow in the heart of Ireland and was a successful fashion designer and businesswoman who lived a life of jet-setting luxury with a cohort of glamorous friends in the United States. Residents in the area reported hearing screams shortly before Martha was discovered lying on the floor of the boat, and while first responders attempted CPR, East Hampton Town Police pronounced her dead at the scene. Pic: Martha Nolan/TikTok How she died will be a matter for the Suffolk County Coroners' office, and police are investigating to try to determine what happened to cause her death at the young age of 33, when she had the world at her feet. She had just launched her fashion label East x East a couple of years ago and recently opened a pop-up shop on the beach in The Hamptons. Irish-born Nolan-O'Slatarra, founder of fashion label East x East, created a ritzy lifestyle for herself that's often associated with Manhattan's elite. Pic: Martha Nolan/TikTok The self-professed entrepreneur and brand growth consultant created a fabulous lifestyle for herself in the USA, travelling by helicopter and on private jets, with videos posted to her social media daily detailing her very successful lifestyle. She was also the director of operations at investment firm K4 Capital and ran an Amazon fashion brand known as 'Duper.' She loved the high life and she and her pals took a Falcon jet to Nashville for a concert in 2021, with Martha highlighting her '#privatejet' life in the captions, and last October, she shared a video of herself and a male companion drinking champagne as they flew across the land she called home. Martha Nolan-O'Slatarra. Pic: TikTok She later shared a TikTok clip of herself with the same man sitting in a luxurious convertible car as it drove through picturesque countryside. In an interview with the Irish Independent last year, she claimed to 'live in the Upper East Side', which she said she 'loved' even though it was 'expensive'. But according to the paper, property records tie her to an address in Yorkville, which is often regarded as a less desirable and more inexpensive part of the highly sought-after UES neighbourhood, where it's believed she lived in a small studio apartment, with a monthly rent of approximately $1,900, the records revealed. Martha told the Independent that she grew up in Carlow town, about 55 miles from Dublin, and had left home at the age of 16, determined to make a success of herself. She admitted: 'I was the small town girl who needed to get out to achieve her big dreams.' She admitted being 'money-driven' and 'business-driven' and says she always knew she wanted to be successful. After secondary school, she attended University College Dublin, where she studied the fundamentals of business as an undergraduate and later earned a master's degree in digital marketing. Friends who knew her have described her as friendly and kind, and someone who was well known in the community. Dylan Grace, who owns a number of hip clubbing venues in New York and is understood to have been a close friend of the Carlow native, took to social media to pay tribute. He wrote: 'We dreamed big together, laughed harder than anyone else could understand, and built so much from nothing. I'm truly blessed and grateful to have had you in my life. In a previous interview, Martha credited Dylan with helping her fund and grow her fledgling fashion firm, saying he was her 'best friend'. Her most recent posts included a July video celebrating a pop-up appearance at Gurney's Resort in Montauk, captioned 'Goals Achieved,' highlighting the culmination of her marketing efforts in the Hamptons. According to her LinkedIn profile, Martha Nolan received her Bachelor of Commerce and Master's degree in Digital Marketing from University College Dublin before moving to the Big Apple at 26 years old. In a statement released today, Montauk Yacht Club said 'We are saddened to learn of the tragic incident that took place. Our team is cooperating with law enforcement in their ongoing investigation and remains committed to the safety and well-being of our guests and staff. We have no further comment at this time,'.

Scroll down to see if it really made a difference BUM NOTE This £23 buy promises to fake a BBL & Tummy Tuck – but here's what happened when I actually tried it FOR many, the summer months are a great excuse to get your kit off and show the world your body. But like many women, I often struggle with feeling good in a bikini or mini skirt in the hot weather. 5 Here's what Fabulous reporter Leanne Hallt hought of the viral leggings Credit: Leanne Hall 5 Joanne was left gobsmacked by how well the leggings worked Credit: Tiktok/@jomacx 5 Taylor Swift wore a Halara skort to Coachella in 2024 Credit: Getty It's clear I'm not the only person who struggles with body image in the warmer weather as recently I've noticed one item keeping popping up on my TikTok page, Halara leggings. The Singapore-based brand offers athletic clothes with a fashion twist and specialises in shapewear leggings. Even Taylor Swift is a fan — the A-lister was spotted wearing Halara's High-Waisted Pleated Skort at Coachella last year. Thousands of TikTok videos have been made by women showing the transformation these leggings give their figures. READ MORE FASHION STORIES TULLE ORDER The top Shein wedding dresses for budget brides - including £23 satin-look gown From many saying it gives them an 'instant BBL' to others claiming it takes inches off their waists, the leggings appear to do no wrong. Joanne, from Scotland, shared how the shapewear transformed her bum. She said: "They lift and sculpt everything and just keep it where it should be. It's like a scaffold for your bum." So I decided to give them a go myself to see what the hype was all about. I managed to get my hands on the Halara UltraSculpt SoCinched High Waisted Tummy Control Leggings, currently priced at £23.95. The leggings come in a huge range of colours, 23 to be exact, as well as different lengths to suit your needs. The 5 best Pilates-inspired exercises for slimmer thighs this summer The sizes range from a tiny size 2 up to a size 20, and I landed on the medium size, which is suitable for those a size 10/12. I also picked them up in a chic black colour as I generally avoid colourful leggings. PROS After patiently waiting for the leggings to come, I ripped into the package as soon as they landed in my hands. The first thing I noticed as I pulled them onto my legs was just how buttery soft they were. The leggings had a thick material that also meant that they weren't see-through so I could confidently wear them out and about running errands as well as at the gym. As for the 'tummy control', I did see a noticeable difference when I put them on and my stomach definitely appeared flatter than before. Why does my face go so red when I workout? MANY of us will experience a red face during exercise, and there's a few reasons why... Increased Blood Flow: When you exercise, your body needs more oxygen, so your heart pumps faster, and your blood vessels dilate to supply more oxygen to your muscles. This increased blood flow can cause your skin, especially your face, to appear red. Temperature Regulation: As you work out, your body generates heat. To cool down, your body increases blood flow to the skin, allowing heat to escape through the surface. This process, known as vasodilation, can cause your face to turn red, especially if you're working out in a warm environment or doing intense activity. Heightened Heart Rate: The more intense the exercise, the higher your heart rate becomes. A higher heart rate increases blood circulation, which can also make your skin redder than usual. Blood Pressure Changes: During exercise, your blood pressure temporarily rises to support increased activity. This change can make the blood vessels in your face dilate, leading to a flushed or red appearance. Individual Differences: Some people are more prone to facial redness during exercise due to their genetic makeup. Those with fair skin, for instance, tend to show redness more readily. Certain conditions like Rosacea, which causes visible blood vessels to appear on the skin, can also make redness more pronounced during exercise. While redness is usually harmless and a normal response, if you experience excessive redness, dizziness, or discomfort, it's worth checking in with a healthcare professional, as it could point to an underlying issue. CONS With all that being said, these leggings were no replacement for a surgical butt lift. While I do think the smooth, thick fabric helped hide any wobbly bits in the area, it didn't give me the lift that I wanted. I also found that while they did suck my stomach in, they obviously weren't the most comfortable to wear. If anything, I felt like sausage meat being stuffed inside a casing and the extra-tight fit is not something I would feel comfortable working out in. 5 Leanne before putting the shapewear leggings on Credit: Leanne Hall 5 With the leggings on, you can clearly see a flatter stomach and slightly more lifted bum Credit: Leanne Hall Final Thoughts While I won't be rushing to get these leggings on for a gym sesh, I do think these are nice enough to go out in for a walk in the park or running errands. The shapewear element did make me feel more confident than regular leggings and the soft material made them comfortable to wear all day. However, if you're looking for an instant 'bum lift' you might want to give them a miss.
