Meta's new AI lets you imagine, create and star in any setting, now free in India
To get started, users must complete a one-time setup. This involves opening a chat with Meta AI and typing the phrase 'Imagine me as' followed by the desired scenario. The interface then prompts users to give permission for facial data collection and captures multiple angles of their face. Once that's done, users are free to generate images by typing prompts such as 'Imagine me as a 90s rockstar' or 'Imagine me in a Bollywood film.'The generated images are playful and stylised rather than hyperrealistic, which helps ensure that they are not mistaken for real photos. This subtle, illustrative aesthetic also keeps the feature from crossing into deepfake territory — a growing concern in the age of generative media.Importantly, the tool respects privacy boundaries. Since it depends on facial data, users can only create images of themselves, not others. The setup process is locked to a single individual and cannot be reused or shared to generate multiple faces. The feature is powered by Meta's in-house personalisation models, designed to adapt a user's likeness into a range of fictional environments. A Meta spokesperson explained, 'Users will be able to see themselves in a variety of fun, imaginative, and creative ways -- thanks to the power of generative AI.'Unlike other AI image tools that often work from text-only prompts or generic avatars, Imagine Me offers a more tailored experience by combining text with real visual data. Once the initial scan is complete, users don't need to repeat the setup, and can continue generating fresh scenes as often as they like, whether they fancy themselves in a medieval knight's armour, a cyberpunk cityscape, or chilling on Mars.advertisementThough currently limited to a single user profile per setup, Meta may expand the feature's capabilities over time. Until then, each device is essentially tied to one face, one identity, and countless scenarios. As generative AI tools become more widespread, Meta's move to localise and expand its feature set shows a clear intent: to stay ahead in the playful, personalised AI game, and bring users along for the ride. And with Imagine Me now live in India, the stage is set for a new wave of AI-generated selfies that go far beyond the usual filters and stickers. So go on and ask Meta AI to 'imagine me as' anything. Just don't be surprised if your digital doppelgnger starts living a more exciting life than you.- Ends

Mohanlal Meets A Fahadh Faasil Superfan In Hridayapoorvam Teaser
The hilarious teaser begins with Mohanlal's funny conversation with a non-Malayali fan of actor Fahadh Faasil. The conversation begins with the young man asking Mohanlal where he is from. 'Kerala," says Mohanlal, to which the man replies,"Oh Nice!" He then turns around to take a small amount of what seems to be prasadam and offers it to Mohanlal, even as he says, 'I love Malayalam film industry. Very sensible! But my girlfriend, she's totally Bollywood style." The man goes on to point to the pooja he has performed and says, 'I'm doing this just for her. But I love Fafa man." Mohanlal, who is clueless about Fafa, asks 'Fafa?" The man explains Fafa stands for Fahadh Faasil. 'Aavesham, Kumbalangi Nights. What a performance! Eyes, drama, fantastic!," he offers to generously enlighten Mohanlal. Mohanlal then gently points out that there are also good senior actors in Malayalam. To this, the man says,"No,no! Only Fafa!" Mohanlal repeats 'Only Fafa?" When he says yes, Mohanlal gives back the prasadam and walks away, even as we are presented a bouquet of scenes that show that the film will have no dearth of humour. One of Malayalam cinema's iconic directors, Sathyan Anthikad, known for his heartwarming dramas, is directing this film. Anthikad's collaboration with Mohanlal has delivered timeless classics and therefore expectations from this film too are huge. Apart from Mohanlal, the film will also feature actors Malavika Mohanan, Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita, Siddique, Nishan, Baburaj, Lalu Alex and Janardhanan among others.
