Middleton, who starred in ITV's Emmerdale as Ashley Thomas from 1996 to 2017, said: 'From vicar to villain is quite a leap but that's why I love this part.

ITV Love Island's Harrison breaks silence on future with Lauren and 'condom moment'
Harrison has opened up about his future with Lauren and whether he will rekindle things with Toni on the outside, as well as addressing the 'viral condom moment' Love Island on Friday night left hardly any dry eyes in the house, as both Lauren and Harrison left the villa. The savage twist saw Lauren dumped after new bombshell Angel chose Ty as her number one, leaving Lauren single and packing. It left Harrison torn between staying on the ITV show or following Lauren out, with emotional scenes leading to him to follow his heart and go after Lauren. He stated that he seen her as "girlfriend" material on the outside, despite a messy time in the villa. The pair have now broken their silence since the dramatic villa exits, as they revealed their intentions for life on the outside. When questioned about what lies ahead for him and Lauren on the outside, Harrison revealed: "We'll make the distance work! It will be no issue. "We left on good terms, but the two days prior to leaving, we weren't talking properly, so it would be good to have a conversation, get everything out in the open and hopefully move forward from there." He added, "I feel very strongly about the girl, I wouldn't have left if I didn't. I have no doubt in my mind that she'll be my girlfriend one day. I'm buzzing to see her and reunite! She's such a great girl." Throughout their villa stint, Lauren and Harrison stunned viewers when Harry and Helena were spotted handing a condom to Harrison during the night, as reported by the Mirror. When asked about his feelings regarding his parents potentially witnessing him "have sex" on television, the footballer responded: "I hope they didn't see! "But listen, it was a natural thing. I don't think I intended to have sex in the Villa but in there all the Islanders could tell we were so attracted to each other, naturally it was going to happen. The spark between us was crazy! I probably wasn't thinking about my parents and them watching it but it naturally happened and I don't regret it." Elsewhere, Harrison expressed his hopes to maintain a friendship with Toni outside the villa despite their rollercoaster. He noted: "I'd like to think we could be friends." "I did her wrong a few times in there so I understand if she doesn't want to reciprocate that. The conversation prior to me leaving was a big moment for me and her," he admitted. He also shared his emotional turmoil, adding: "You could tell by me getting emotional, I was upset about how I've acted and upset about Toni being upset as well. Similarly, if someone treated my sister like I'd treated Toni in there obviously I'd be mortified. I wanted to apologise to her and I think she could see I was being genuine. I'm happy with how things were left." Lauren was optimistic when quizzed on how she feels her future with Harrison will play out, stating she sees a 100% chance of a relationship blossoming. "I'd love to see where it could go," she said before his departure. She continued, expressing her desire for a reunion: "I'm hoping that he comes out so that we can be together. I see myself being with him long term as I haven't had a connection like that with someone in such a long time. I know what we had was real despite what everyone else thinks. He has done wrong and made stupid mistakes, but he knows that and believes it was the wrong thing to do." The couple currently appears to be smitten, yet Harrison admits there's one aspect he'd reconsider – his choice of confidant for advice. During his time in the villa, we witnessed his camaraderie with Harry and Dejon, but in hindsight, he laments seeking counsel from Harry. Reflecting on his decisions, Harrison remarked, "I went to Harry a few times asking for advice. On reflection, he was probably the worst person to go to for advice! He does have a serious side but if I was ever to get into the situation again, I probably wouldn't go to him again, his advice was horrendous!" He added reflecting, "The trio was something special, the banter was flying, we were so close in there. I'm sad to leave them."

Gemma Collins and Harry Redknapp 'on the verge' of signing for I'm A Celeb All Stars
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! All Stars is making a return and two iconic stars from the programme is said to be close to signing up for the South African series Two huge personalities are reportedly close to landing a deal for the All Stars version of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp and The Only Way Is Essex legend Gemma Collins are two wildly different personalities, but were huge hits on the ITV show. Harry, 78, took part in the 2018 series filmed in Australia and even beat the likes of Emily Atack and John Barrowman to become King of the Jungle. Meanwhile, Diva Forever star Gemma was part of the 2014 programme but only lasted a couple of days before making a beeline for the exit. It has been reported that Harry could earn a huge fee if he were to take part in the South African All Stars series, which is said to start filming this autumn. It could rival Coleen Rooney and Nigel Farage's hefty paycheck, which was reportedly around £1.5million. Meanwhile, bosses are said to have offered £150,000 to Gemma for her to take part in the competition. An insider claimed to The Sun: "It's going to be a real coup. Harry is TV gold and was first on the list of wannabe celebrity contestants." The Mirror have reached out to Gemma and Harry's representatives for comment. When the 2023 series of All Stars was announced, Harry joked about not joining the mega line-up during a conversation with Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard on Good Morning Britain. While appearing on GMB, Harry spoke to Kate and Ben to discuss a celebrity football match he was leading, but the presenters couldn't resist quizzing the football manager on why he was absent from the series. Kate remarked: "I was quite surprised you didn't get a phone call for the I'm a Celebrity All-Stars, did you ever fancy going back?" "No, I didn't get the phone call, Kate," Harry replied. "I don't know, maybe they lost my number. No, it didn't happen, but I think once is, 'You've done it,' once was enough," he added. "It was a great experience, but I really am not desperate to get back in again." Meanwhile, Gemma previously shared the real reason she quit the show after only three days in the jungle. 'My time was short in the jungle, and not many people know that I was robbed and physically attacked 24 hours before leaving for Australia," she said. The reality TV star continued: 'I didn't want to let anyone down, so I still went in. However, I was in a terrible state and shock, as you can imagine and couldn't see it through. 'I took lots of stick over it, but if you was robbed and attacked and then sent into the jungle, I'm sure you would have struggled too. I would never let anyone destroy my dreams again.'

Harry's fee will have to go some to match Coleen Rooney (2024) and Nigel Farage (2023), who were said to have each earned £1.5million by appearing on the main series. We're very excited about bringing back campmates from over the years in a brand-new setting in South Africa. Source Almost 11 million tuned in live in 2018 to see Harry, dubbed Hazza in the Oz camp, become the show's oldest winner at 71. He had viewers in bits as he told how being wed to Sandra was like 'winning the lottery'. She was there to meet him on the bridge as he celebrated his prize. Other classic moments saw Harry learn street slang from Fleur East and Malique Thompson-Dwyer, have his leg massaged by Noel Edmonds, and get toilet cleaning duty after revealing he had no sense of smell. Enormous entertainment value Harry, dad to football pundit Jamie and model Mark, also revealed his great love for jam roly poly, and assumed bosses secretly fed the contestants bacon rolls to keep them going. Meanwhile, ITV executives have not been put off by Gemma, 44, walking out early in 2014 after complaining about the lack of a proper toilet and sparse food. They are determined to land her as they believe she provides enormous entertainment value. All Stars last aired in 2023 when singer Myleene Klass won and it was filmed in South Africa's Kruger National Park. Jamie Redknapp fears he would never 'live up to' dad Harry on I'm A Celeb A source said: 'That was one of the biggest entertainment shows of the year averaging 5.2million views across its consecutive weeknight run. "We're very excited about bringing back campmates from over the years in a brand-new setting in South Africa.' Harry's spokesman said: 'This is speculation.' We approached Gemma's agent for comment.
