David Pollack Names Power Four Program That Might Be the Worst in College Football
The 2025 college football season is fast approaching, and while many people are focused on which teams will finish at the top, others are concerned about which teams might end up at the bottom.

College football analyst David Pollack shared his thoughts during a preview of the ACC on his podcast, "See Ball Get Ball with David Pollack." He expressed his belief that the Stanford Cardinal could not only be the worst team in the ACC but potentially the worst team in the entire country.
In contrast, ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) predicts that the Wake Forest Demon Deacons will finish last in the ACC. The FPI forecasts that both teams will have a record of 5-7 in the upcoming season.

"Is Stanford the worst team in college football?" Pollack asked. "They have a good defensive end, bam, he's gone. They've got a good receiver, bam, he's gone. The coach has been there like 10 days. They've got a new GM in Andrew Luck, who is going to learn how to do this stuff on the fly. It's just tough. I can't imagine that Stanford is going to be very good."

Stanford faced significant changes following the 2024 season due to the transfer portal. The Cardinal fired head coach Troy Taylor in March and hired Frank Reich as his replacement.
Although Reich lacks experience as a college head coach, he previously led the Indianapolis Colts and the Carolina Panthers. Before that, he served as the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles during their Super Bowl win with Nick Foles at quarterback.
Overall, Stanford lost 27 players to the transfer portal but managed to bring in 18 new players. One of the most notable departures was quarterback Ashton Daniels, who threw for 3,947 yards and 21 touchdowns over the last two seasons. Daniels chose to transfer to Auburn, where he will compete for the starting quarterback position.
Another significant loss for the Cardinal was star pass rusher David Bailey, who transferred to the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Last season, Bailey recorded 31 tackles, eight tackles for loss and seven sacks.

Stanford will need to find ways to replace these key players while also striving to prove critics wrong and have a successful season.

The Philadelphia Eagles have received their Super Bowl LIX rings, and showed them off on social media Friday night. The rings were made by Jason of Beverly Hills, and feature a pair of Lombardi trophies to signify the team's second Super Bowl win after its first in 2018. The Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22, denying the Chiefs their third-straight Super Bowl and avenging their Super Bowl XLVII loss to Kansas City just two years earlier. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts won Super Bowl MVP, throwing for 221 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. The Eagles will host the Dallas Cowboys for their Week 1 opener in September, and they'll celebrate their recent championship one final time that night when they hang their Super Bowl banner in the rafters at Lincoln Financial Field. Birds get their bling! Philadelphia Eagles receive Super Bowl LIX rings
Months after their dominating win in Super Bowl LIX, the reigning world champions of professional football, the Philadelphia Eagles, gathered together at Ballers at The Battery to receive their Super Bowl rings Friday night. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie, the architect of the roster, executive vice president and general manager Howie Roseman, and head coach Nick Sirianni were all joined by their wives as they got dressed up to differing degrees and walked the green carpet. The players seemed to be much more eager than the team's brass to show off their best attire for the evening. Players are set to report to training camp on Tuesday, and their first practice will be on Wednesday. So it's fitting in a way that they get their rings on Friday, celebrate their achievement once more, and then close that chapter as they begin their title defense. "We want a ring that tells a story and ... it can't just be beautiful in design," said Jason Arasheben, owner and operator of Jason of Beverly Hills, "it has to be robust in storyline, as far as telling the story of the season, the team, the city and the fans. So a lot goes into designing a ring of this caliber." Arasheben said they've done 16 championship rings across all four major sports, and still described the Birds' new bling as "the greatest championship ring in Super Bowl history." "We try to outdo each other with every championship ring, and with this being our latest championship ring, we feel like this is hands-down the greatest championship ring in history," he said. Arasheben said with this specific ring, they're proud to introduce something that has never been done. "When you see this ring, you'll understand exactly what I'm talking about," he said. The Eagles shared a breakdown of all the intricacies the ring showcases that pay homage to the team's season and Super Bowl LIX MacAulay contributed to this report.

8 hidden facts and details of the Eagles' Super Bowl ring
Philadelphia unveiled their Super Bowl 59 rings on Friday night, and we're examining eight hidden facts and details about the glitzy design The Eagles unveiled their Super Bowl rings commemorating their championship on Friday night as players received their rings in a team ceremony. Players were sized for their rings and selected designs during the locker room cleanout and exit interviews with the media in February. The Super Bowl LIX Championship Ring was crafted by Jason of Beverly Hills, measuring 41 millimeters in diameter and featuring a total of 12 carats in diamonds, with a combined weight of 140 grams. The ring is composed of white gold and features a green sapphire, symbolizing the Eagles' performance. With training camp just days away, we're examining eight hidden facts and details about the glitzy design. Top of the ring The top of the ring has two Lombardi Trophies for the two Super Bowls the Eagles have won since 2017. One side of the ring has the 40-22 final score from February. The other side of Hurts' ring has his name and jersey number. Middle inscription The middle inscription displays the final score of all four postseason matchups, beginning with the Wild Card win over the Packers and concluding with the Super Bowl win over Kansas City. Wings that pop out The rings also include a mechanism that allows the 'WINGS' to pop out of the ring and expand. 18 wins on the way to Super Bowl glory Philadelphia went 14-3 during the regular season and then won four more postseason games. To commemorate that journey, every ring has 18 stones at the top. Player name Every player has their name and signature on the dazzling ring. Ten points of diamonds Philadelphia went on a ten-game win streak after starting the season out 2-2, and the franchise had ten diamonds placed at the top of the ring to commemorate the streak. Brazilian Flag Things started off with an impressive win over the Packers in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the team celebrated that achievement by including a Brazilian Flag above the final score from their four playoff wins. Coach Siriani's message We highlighted the wings that protrude from the rings, and they feature an engraved message from head coach Nick Sirianni. "You can't be great without the greatness of others" There are 0.9 carats on those wings to represent six sacks and three takeaways in the Super Bowl.
