Richardson impresses Jersey boss after Guernsey display
Jersey boss Paul Hutchison says George Richardson has done his best to force his way into the side after his five-wicket haul against 20-year-old tore into the Sarnian batters with figures of 5-38 as Guernsey were bowled out for 150 in 43 went on to reach their target in just 25.2 overs to record an eight-wicket win away from home."He's been on the edge of the squad for a while, he's been chomping at the bit to get in," Hutchison told BBC Radio Jersey."He was in Holland with us and he's been part of the A team stuff that we did over in England in London probably six weeks ago."So he's really been pushing hard and he impressed with the way he went about his business."He kept it pretty simple and that was enough."Richardson was part of Jersey's squad at the recent T20 World Cup qualifiers - but did not play a game as the islanders registered a historic win over Scotland but finished one place off making the 2026 T20 World Cup. But Richardson could well feature in the ICC Challenge League tournament that the island will host later this top their division after the first round of 50 over matches and would progress to the next stage of qualifying for the Cricket World Cup if they can top the group after the final round next year."I think we're in a healthy place, the competition for places is strong," Hutchison said."We've got a tournament starting in just under two weeks and we can pick 14 and I'm probably picking from a very strong 20 of the inner circle."So there's going to be lads out there who are going to be disappointed."But ultimately, if I've got those kinds of headaches, then Jersey's in a good spot, it's better than the other way around."

Jersey Bulls boss grateful for stand-in keeper Jinadu
Jersey Bulls manager Elliot Powell says he is grateful to goalkeeper Daniel Jinadu for helping the club in their first-ever game in the Isthmian 23-year-old former West Ham and Barnsley youngster was called into the starting line-up for the 1-1 draw with Margate with less than an hour's registered the goalkeeper, who has played non-league football for Welling United and Dover Athletic, after first-choice goalkeeper Euan van der Vliet was injured on Thursday. "Euan tried it in the warm-up and wasn't fit, so we'd pulled Daniel in at last minute on Friday," Powell told BBC Radio Jersey."We've got our number two keeper at home Pierce (Roche), but Pierce had an important game for St Clement and I think a lot's been said about the relationship between Jersey Bulls and local clubs."It's really important for us that we didn't impact a local club through no fault of their own less than 24 hours before an important game for them and respect the local game as well."Despite meeting his team-mates and coaches for the first time just a few hours before kick-off, Powell said he was impressed by London-based goalkeeper."We brought in Daniel as a cover and credit to him, he doesn't know anyone here, he's never met anyone before he came down today," Powell added."But he was willing to give up his afternoon move things around for us, driven down, turned up, met a bunch of strangers and then 20 minutes into meeting us he's actually starting."I thought he did well, I thought he came and claimed crosses, a little bit of maybe ring rust there a couple of times with the ball dropping and stuff, but I thought he was really good, really composed and brought a sense of calm to a back line that was under siege at times, but stood firm and got us the point in the end."We didn't know what we were going to get as a keeper and I'm very happy with how he's performed."

Gordon Ramsay and wife Tana embrace after gruelling charity triathlon challenge as son-in-law-to-be Adam Peaty is cheered on by fiance Holly and son George
The Ramsay clan were out in force this weekend as they competed in a gruelling a triathlon challenge. Celebrity chef Gordon was joined by his wife Tana, daughters Megan, 27, and Tilly, son Jack, 25, and future son-in-law Adam Peaty as 'Team Ramsay' took on the T100 Triathlon World Tour at the Royal Victoria Dock in London on Sunday. Gordon, 58, and wife Tana, 50, were seen sharing an emotional embrace after the gruelling challenge. The chef was also seen getting a hug from his son Oscar, six, after crossing the finish line of the triathlon - which the family undertook to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Meanwhile Olympic swimmer Adam, 30, who is set to marry into the Ramsay family, was greeted by his fiance Holly, 25, and his son George, four. Adam was beaming as he posed for a snap wearing a Speedo onesie, joined by Holly and George - who he shares with his ex-girlfriend Eirianedd Munro. The Olympian took to his Instagram Story to share a picture of his wife-to-be Holly in the car on the way to the race, as she held a poster from his son reading: 'I love you. Go daddy!' Elsewhere Tilly, 23, looked ecstatic as she celebrated at the finish line, running over to Adam's son George, who was being carried by Tilly, to squeeze his face. Ahead of the race, Gordon and Tana shared a clip directed at fans, as they said: 'I just want to say a huge thank you for all of your support over the years as we do another event for Great Ormond Street.' Gordon added: 'This weekend we'll let the kids off yet again for the T100, an amazing event but more importantly, 500,000 athletes will be taking part in this extraordinary race. 'I just want to say thank you, the support has been untold. You know how important those funds are and what Great Ormond Street does for those children, and their families, is nothing short of extraordinary. 'So we're about to hit the 2million mark over the last decade of what we've raised, so thank you. We can't wait to see you all on Sunday it's going to be a super competitive day in the Ramsay household.' 'Lots of training has been undertaken and we are ready to race. And - who's going to win?' Tana added. They captioned the clip: 'We're so excited for @t100triathlon London tomorrow and can't wait to take part to support @greatormondst! 'It's going to be a competitive day in the Ramsay household but a great one ! Head to my stories to support!' It comes after Gordon revealed the dramatic moment he fainted in the delivery room during the birth of his son Oscar. Gordon wasn't present for the births of his first four children - Megan, 26, twins Jack and Holly, 25, and Tilly, 23 - as his wife Tana insisted he stayed out of the delivery room. She didn't want him to see her in labour or experience the raw reality of childbirth firsthand. However, in 2019, Gordon was by her side for the arrival of their son Oscar, now six, delivered via C-section. Yet what was meant to be a joyful moment - with Ed Sheeran 's music playing in the background - took a chaotic turn when the chef fainted while cradling his newborn son. Appearing on the Smartless podcast, Gordon said: 'Let's make one thing absolutely clear, my wife didn't want me in there. First of all, she said, "I want my mum and your mum in there, you're not going to see me in that state, that side of the curtain, get out of there." That was her decision and I had to respect that decision. 'When I did final arrive in the theatre for our fifth baby I f****** collapsed like a wimp! I blacked out holding Oscar in the air. He was coming through the sun roof so there was a lot of commotion going on. 'They said, "What do you want to listen to?" So I said, "Can you play Ed Sheeran?" So they started playing Ed, they turned up the volume, I can hear all these noises, all of a sudden I see two more doctors dive in, I look to the floor and there was blood everywhere. 'They popped him out and then they came straight over to me and I went, "Woah, woah, s***." I sat back and I collapsed like a f****** idiot.'
