Ticketless Oasis fans ignore security as they climb fences at Manchester's Heaton Park

Daily Record3 days ago
Ticketless Oasis fans have been climbing the fences and gathering on 'Gallagher Hill' in attempts to catch a glimpse of Liam and Noel Gallagher as they play to 80,000 people at Heaton Park.
Despite tightened security and new fencing around Manchester's Heaton Park, some determined Oasis fans without tickets refused to be kept away as they stormed barriers to see the Gallagher brothers live in action. Liam and Noel Gallagher made their return to their hometown for the third show in front of 80,000 fans.

For those who missed out on what are some of the most in demand tickets in music history have managed to still catch a glimpse of the action from a nearby hill. During the shows fans gathered at what's now known as 'Gallagher hill' to soak in the sights and sounds of the legendary band's performance from a distance.

After hundreds gathered over the weekend, it seemed police and organisers wanted to crack down on this by placing a large fence in front and blocking the view. However, the large green fence and extra security appeared to do nothing during last night's show, the Mirror reports.
Multiple fans were seen climbing over the massive fences as they ignored police warnings and attempted to get into the venue, despite having no ticket. While others decided to stay on Gallagher Hill even with the obstructed view.
Eager to catch a glimpse of the Britpop band, some fans climbed trees, while others settled down in the grass with fold out chairs and picnic blankets. Over the weekend, police increased efforts to manage the crowds of ticketless fans in the area attempting to hop the fence in order to see Oasis.

Greater Manchester Police reported that six individuals had been arrested for trying to get into the show with "fake accreditation", while others were caught trying to break through the perimeter fencing. Oasis are set to return to Heaton Park for two more shows on 19 and 20 July.
Pictures taken at the scene showed one man in handcuffs as one of the Greater Manchester Police officers escorted him away, and another fan was snapped carrying a ladder.

Additionally, an image showed a line of police officers standing outside multiple entrances along the perimeter, attempting to stop people getting in for free.
However, those watching from a distance at Gallagher Hill were seen to be having the time of their lives as they heard Liam and Noel perform from a distance.
Fans gathered on Gallagher Hill caught the attention of Oasis guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, who is credited with reuniting Liam and Noel, as he shared a video of fans enjoying the concert from outside the gates. He captioned the post: "No tickets needed," alongside red heart emojis.
Greater Manchester Police have advised those without tickets to stay away from Heaton Park. The force added: "We would advise all fans travelling to and from the coming events to ensure they keep an eye out for information from our partners about transport options and road closures, allow enough time to get to the concert, keep hydrated and look out for each other."

On top of it all, Ayda's mother, Gwen, is battling cervical cancer, Lupus and Parkinson's at the same time. In a new post on Instagram, Robbie posted a long Q+A about himself and his family's situation - noting there were parts of the tour that he loved – crediting his band and support act Lottery Winners for bringing 'energy' he enjoys, as well as some of his more notable concerts so far. But then he added that he's been fighting off a bug across the past two weeks, and that life at home is incredibly tough. 'Things at home with my parents? VERY precarious right now,' he then wrote. 'It's real world stuff that deeply affects me and my wife. And if my wife is affected, you can bet I am. So the maths are: Virus + ill parents + stadium tour.' 'Every single moment of every single day is in preparation for those 2+ hours on stage. Outside of that? I have nothing',' he said. 'There is nothing to offer. I don't mind stating to those around me, I need protecting. And in return I protect them'. Despite this, he added a promise that he would be 'on top of his game' during the shows, though noted: 'Outside of that - I have nothing to offer or give, for the time being.' His brutally honest post comes after Robbie paid tribute to his family on stage during his tour, admitting on stage that his mum no longer knows who he is and he 'isn't ready for it'. Robbie Williams reveals the dark side of himself in the biopic Better Man out in January He told the crowd: 'My mother has dementia and she doesn't know who I am anymore. She doesn't know where she is anymore. My dad has Parkinson's and he can't leave the house. 'He used to sing with me every night on stage, he would come out, steal the show and be charming and then wander backstage for a glass of red wine. Now he can't leave the house. 'My mother-in-law, who I absolutely worship and adore, has three illnesses. She's for lupus, Parkinson's and cancer. She is the most courageous lady and she is fighting, fighting, fighting.' He added: "It's a strange place to be, this place we find ourselves, 51 years old, it's very strange to be the grown up. Terminator star died agonising 'lingering' death after horrific home accident

A rising Hollywood star was found dead by his friends in the early hours of the morning after he failed to turn up to a rehearsal - he had endured an agonising death it transpired upon investigation and was also hiding a chronic illness Best known for his roles as navigator Pavel Chekov in the Star Trek franchise reboot and Kyle Reese in Terminator Salvation, up and coming actor Anton Yelchin's future in Hollywood was looking very bright indeed. However the young star's life was tragically cut short at just 27 years old when he was involved in an horrific car accident. ‌ Confirming the news of his death to the Mirror in 2016, his publicist Jennifer Allen said in a statement: "Actor Anton Yelchin was killed in a fatal traffic collision early this morning. His family requests you respect their privacy at this time." ‌ The much-loved actor, who had starred in TV shows such as NYPD, ER and Curb Your Enthusiasm, was expected at a rehearsal at 11pm on the Saturday night but failed to turn up. ‌ Wimbledon star Flavio Cobolli's mysterious girlfriend and vow to 'stay alone in life' His worried friends discovered him in the early hours of 19 June 2016 dead outside his San Fernando Valley home. He was pinned between his car and a security fence. Pictures from the scene showed the bent bars of the metal gate. It's thought after leaving his home he had got out of his Jeep Cherokee to check his locked gate for mail and the vehicle rolled backwards down the steep driveway, trapping him. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office identified the cause of death as 'blunt traumatic asphyxia'. ‌ His heartbroken co-star Zachary Quinto, who played Spock in the Star Trek films, wrote a tribute at the time. It read: "Our dear friend. Our comrade. Our Anton. One of the most open and intellectually curious people I have ever had the pleasure to know. So enormously talented and generous of heart. Wise beyond his years. And gone before his time. All love and strength to his family at this impossible time of grief." Star Trek director JJ Abrams also penned a heartfelt tribute. "You were brilliant. You were kind. You were funny as hell, and supremely talented. And you weren't here nearly long enough. Missing you... JJ." A lawsuit later stated: "Anton Yelchin was crushed and lingered alive for some time, trapped and suffocating until his death." The manufacturer of the Grand Cherokee was reportedly aware certain models had problems with 'rollaway' incidents, with drivers being unsure if they were parked or in gear. At the time of Anton's death, the roll away problem had been tied to at least 68 injuries, 266 crashes and 308 reports of property damage. Unfortunately a software patch didn't reach dealers until after his accident. ‌ Fiat Chrysler and his family eventually reached an out of court settlement, with the manufacturer saying it was "pleased" to have reached an "amicable resolution" in the matter. The car company also extended its "deepest sympathies" to the Yelchin family for their tragic loss. Born in Russia, Anton emigrated to the USA with his parents, celebrated Russian figure skaters Victor and Irina Yelchin, at six months old. He had a love for TV and movies from a young age and in 2001, at just 11 years old, he landed a role in Hearts in Atlantis opposite Sir Antony Hopkins. He found early success in Indie films before landing his parts in Star Trek and Terminator. ‌ After his death, in 2019 Love Antosha - a film about Anton's life was released. It features personal footage, archives, letters and interviews with leading Hollywood stars who knew him, such as Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Anya Taylor-Joy, Willem Dafoe and Simon Pegg. The film also revealed he was secretly suffering with the chronic and inherited illness cystic fibrosis. The genetic condition causes damage to the lungs, digestive system and other organs and shortens life expectancy. Love Antosha's director Garret Price told Fox News: "The first thing that surprised me was his chronic illness, which he was secretly dealing with throughout his career. And that in itself was totally admirable. No one knew about it. Even some of his closest friends didn't know about it until he passed away." Anton's parents remain committed to preserving his legacy. They chose the Hollywood Forever Cemetery where industry greats such as Rudolph Valentino, Judy Garland and John Huston were laid to rest as his final resting place. They erected a life-size bronze figure of the young star and are seen nearly every day at his grave. "I've never encountered a vigil like theirs," co-owner Tyler Cassity told Variety for its profile on the cemetery.

David Beckham says 'it looks terrible' after Victoria shares his horror haircut

Victoria Beckham shared David's 'terrible' trim with their fans. Victoria Beckham 's recent Instagram post revealed her husband David's awful haircut that his wife deemed 'terrible'. While David Beckham is usually somewhat of a style icon, it's unlikely that his new hair will be starting any trends. ‌ Victoria asks David while holding the camera to his face: "what have you done?" When he refuses to respond, she asks him the same question again. ‌ Sheepishly, the former England football player looks away from the camera while strategically placing his hand on his head to hide the hair do. He then admits: "The thing of the clippers fell off my head." ‌ Revealing the accident, he bends his head towards Victoria who zooms in on his shaving disaster as she struggles to contain her laughter. Looking up at her, David says with a serious look on his face that it was "not funny." ‌ And in response, the mum of four says: "Do you know the hours of content that the kids have got from this. It does not looks good. I'm going to always be honest with you. It looks terrible." And it seems her followers shared the same sentiment, reports the Mirror. One person wrote in a comment: "I like the victory laugh." Another penned: "Look at the good side it's summer and you can allow your head to catch sun rays. Victoria is very supportive and sincere." ‌ But not everyone seemed to agree as one person said: "I always find vb a bit condescending to David." It comes after pictures emerged of their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham taking time out to enjoy a holiday in St Tropez. ‌ And while there where pictures of the couple, who have only been married for three years, putting on a united front while hugging and kissing on her father's yacht, body language expert Judi James spotted something completely different. Nicola is seen clutching Brooklyn's hand as they made their way off the yacht and she looked strained. And this prompted Judi to recognise that Brooklyn's natural protective nature has kicked in amid the feud with his family. ‌ In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Judi explains: "With her distant, expressionless eye gaze and her hand either clutching Brooklyn's arm or encased in his hand, Nicola is looking like the tragic heroine here, perhaps wanting to suggest some vulnerability and strain behind her normally cool and confident exterior." She added: "This is a look that might make most caring husbands wary and trigger their protective side, which is what appears to have happened with Brooklyn here. "While his wife walks along in her dramatic black fur tippet and with her hand placed on her bag to provide an emphatic and perhaps symbolic display of her wedding rings, Brooklyn looks more relaxed and dominant." Judi continued: "Clutching her hand in his with his, with the back of his hand showing fully and the wrist bent in a protective clasp. His mood looks confident and even rather upbeat here as though he enjoys being the strong guy in the relationship. His chest is splayed, his arms are held out and there's a smile brewing on his face." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
