Beginning June 3, Nordstrom is updating its Nordy Club terms and conditions with additional ways for members to receive discounts and other benefits, most notably at its Nordstrom Rack locations.
Customers will no longer be able to earn points on purchases at Nordstrom Rack stores, its website or Last Chance stores, according to a Nordstrom spokesperson.
Instead, customers can receive a 5% discount at Nordstrom Rack, its website and app when they use their Nordstrom credit card on eligible purchases. Card members may only use their Nordstrom credit card at checkout to pay for their purchases to get the discount at the Rack or online. They cannot use Apple Pay, PayPal or Afterpay, per the company.
Nordstrom is updating its Nordy Club loyalty program to offer new benefits to its Rack customers, according to Deniz Anders, Nordstrom's executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
"We are excited to evolve The Nordy Club and introduce exclusive benefits to Nordstrom Rack customers, delivering great brands at great prices with even more perks each time they shop with us,' Anders said in an email. 'The new benefits offer our Nordstrom Rack customers more value, providing instant discounts, special promotions, and early access to new arrivals.'
Nordstrom has been growing its Rack locations in recent years, with 23 opening last year with plans for 21 more in 2025.
Nordstrom struck a deal to take the company private last year, with investment from Mexican retail conglomerate El Puerto de Liverpool. The all-cash transaction valued at about $6.25 billion, which was unanimously approved by the board of directors in December, is expected to close around May 18. The department store in its most recent quarter reported net sales fell about 2% year over year to $4.2 billion. Nordstrom Rack net sales rose 6.6%, with comps up 3.5% at the banner.
The Nordy Club changes come as other major brands have refreshed their loyalty programs over the recent past, including J.C Penney, which is in the midst of a turnaround. Ulta Beauty changed its loyalty program name and refreshed its look last year, while True Religion and Foot Locker both reimagined their programs in 2024 attempting to jump-start sales by offering more discounts to those who purchased more items.
Correction: An earlier version of this article misstated where shoppers can receive a 5% discount with their Nordstrom credit card. It is at Nordstrom Rack.

Chipotle adds a really popular item to its menus nationwide
Taco Bell seems to fiddle with its menu on a weekly basis. It only rarely does something bold like adding a new protein, but it finds new ways to modify its core menu items that make them new. That could mean a new cheese, a novel sauce, or some other minor addition that can then be used in multiple ways. It's an innovative way to keep things fresh so customers never know exactly what to expect when they enter a store. Related: Big beverage brand unexpectedly files Chapter 11 bankruptcy In addition, the Yum Brands (YUM) chain has some recurring favorites that cycle on and off the menu. You might want its chicken nuggets, only to find that they are not available, which actually builds anticipation for when they get brought back. It's a process of endless change that keeps customers guessing while driving return visitors when old favorites make their returns. This system of near-endless innovation also drives media coverage and keeps the company visible on social media. Don't miss the move: Subscribe to TheStreet's free daily newsletter Rival Chipotle (CMG) takes a very different approach. It very rarely changes its menu partly because its make line system has very limited room for new items. The popular Mexican chain adds a new seasonal protein three of four times a year and generally that's the extent of its changes. Now, however, Chipotle has a big surprise for its customers. Chipotle has added Adobo Ranch, a smoky, spicy twist on America's beloved dipping sauce to its menu nationwide. "Made fresh in Chipotle restaurants, Adobo Ranch features adobo pepper, sour cream and a unique blend of herbs and spices, bringing a craveable kick to the brand's signature burritos, bowls, salads, tacos and quesadillas," the company shared in a press release. Adobo Ranch will be available at Chipotle locations across the U.S. and Canada starting Tuesday, June 17 and Chipotle Rewards members can try it for free on launch day. Chipotle noted that ranch has passed ketchup to become the most popular condiment in the U.S. More Restaurants Beloved Mexican restaurant closing iconic location after 63 yearsMajor restaurant chain quietly closes several locationsIconic restaurant closing its doors after 32 years "Ranch has become a cultural phenomenon, especially among Gen Z, who are finding creative ways to enjoy it beyond the traditional salad," said Chipotle Preisdent Chris Brandt. "Our new Adobo Ranch taps into this passion, giving fans a craveworthy way to customize their Chipotle order with a completely new flavor." The new Chipotle take on ranch, features only what the company describes as real ingredients and no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. While its overall results were mixed, Chipotle saw sales slow down at restaurants that have been open for over a year. "Turning to our first quarter results. Sales grew over 6% to reach $2.9 billion, including a comparable sales decline of 0.4%. Digital sales represented 35.4% of sales. Restaurant-level margin was 26.2%, a decrease of 130 basis points year-over-year. Adjusted diluted earnings per share was $0.29, representing 7% growth over last year, and we opened 57 new restaurants, including 48 Chipotlanes," CEO Scott Boatwright shared during an earnings call with analysts. The CEO blamed the economy and overall negative consumer sentiment. "In February, we began to see that the elevated level of uncertainty felt by consumers starting to impact their spending habits. We could see this in our visitation study where saving money because of concerns around the economy was the overwhelming reason consumers were reducing the frequency of restaurant visits. This drove a slowdown in our underlying transaction trends. This trend has continued into April," he said. Related: McDonald's is facing a harsh new reality as customer behavior shifts Boatwright expects these conditions to continue. "While we can't predict how long these consumer headwinds will last, what I do know is that the Chipotle brand has never been stronger, that we have an extraordinary value proposition that is more important than ever to focus on being guest obsessed to earn every transaction," he added. Apple Wallet's iOS 26 update scans your emails for package delivery tracking
One of the upcoming changes to Apple Wallet is bound to become one of its most useful features if you frequently shop online and get deliveries. When you get iOS 26 on your iPhone, your Wallet app will start using Apple Intelligence's capabilities to automatically scan your emails and identify order tracking details sent by merchants or couriers. The app will then summarize and display those deliveries as cards. As MacRumors has noted, Wallet can already do that for purchases made using Apple Pay. With the update, you'll be able to keep track of all your deliveries from one place and get progress notifications. At the moment, access to the feature is still limited to developers who've installed the beta version of iOS 26. The feature itself is still in beta, and you will have to enable it by going to the Wallet and Apple Pay section in Settings, heading into Apple Pay Defaults and switching on Orders Found in Mail under Order Tracking. Apple announced its upcoming mobile platform at WWDC 2025, revealing an interface that has gone through a massive redesign. It features a "Liquid Glass" UI that's defined by icons, toolbars and tab bars with a see-through appearance. In addition to being able to track orders, the iOS 26 version of Wallet will allow you to create a Digital ID with a US passport and will also come with more detailed boarding passes. iOS 26 isn't coming out until this fall, but Apple plans to start rolling out public betas in July.
