Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been with the organization since they drafted him in 2018. Throughout his seven-year tenure in Buffalo, they've appeared in two AFC championship games, losing both to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Last season, Allen was named the NFL's 2024 regular-season MVP, receiving 27 of the 49 first-place votes. He became the third Bills player to win MVP, joining running backs O.J. Simpson (1973) and Thurman Thomas (1991).
Although it appears clear that Buffalo has a championship-contending window for as long as Allen is under center, this offseason, he has taken on a new role, but not with the Bills.
On Wednesday, Allen became an equity partner in New Era Cap and is taking on the role of "Director of Billustration." He has worked with New Era since his rookie year, but through this expanded partnership, Allen is the first ambassador to receive equity in the company.
The reigning MVP broke the news on his LinkedIn page, where he described his new role and what his primary job as quarterback for the Bills means to him.
"Quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. Farm kid from Firebaugh who got a shot and ran with it. Buffalo believed in me, and I give everything I've got back to this team and this great city. I love this game. I love this team. I'm lucky to wear the jersey," Allen wrote. "Off the field, I'm the 'Director of Billustration' at New Era, which is a fancy way of saying I get to help design some Bills gear and have a little fun with it. That's me. Football, family, Buffalo and a few sharp-looking caps."
While leading the Bills to a Super Bowl is Allen's No. 1 priority, it will be interesting to see what kind of designs the quarterback will bring to Bills gear for New Era.This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jul 16, 2025, where it first appeared.

Collier's record-breaking performance leads her team to WNBA All-Star Game victory

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Napheesa Collier scored a record 36 points to help her team beat Team Clark 151-131 in the WNBA All-Star Game that was devoid of defence and full of four-point shots. This record offensive effort came a year after the league's annual exhibition game was a competitive contest that pitted the U.S Olympic team against WNBA All-Stars. The game capped off a weekend where negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement took centrestage. Players wore warm-up shirts before the game that said 'Pay us what you owe us.' Captain Caitlin Clark was unable to play for her team because of a groin injury she suffered earlier this week. She still served as ambassador for the weekend. ___ AP WNBA: Doug Feinberg, The Associated Press
