Abuser Joel Deering - played by Calum Lill - will be making one more shock appearance - despite being dead.
An insider told us: 'Calum has been back filming and viewers will be seeing him on screen again soon.
'He might be dead but there is lots more to say about that murder and he is likely to be involved in some flashback scenes.'
Last year Joel had been primed for justice with a lengthy prison spell awaiting him - but instead the powers that be and a crowbar put paid to that.
The character was killed on September 27, and his body was later discovered in a river.
It sparked a huge mystery about who was behind it and viewers watched for months, desperate to see who was behind it.
It was later revealed that Lauren Bolton had killed Joel by hitting him with a rock after he tried to strangle her boyfriend, Max Turner.
Max ended up taking the blame, but feeling guilty and concerned about Max's welfare, Lauren confided in Shona Platt, who alerted David Platt to the situation.
The police were then brought in, and Lauren admitted to DC Kit Green that she was the one who had delivered the fatal blow to Joel.
Some viewers believed Joel was wrapped in a body bag when he was found, but soap expert Sharon Marshall has put those theories to rest.
Coronation Street airs evil Joel Deering's final scenes as he skips court and threatens Roy Cropper
The 'Queen of Soaps' from This Morning took to social media, clarifying: "Ok., to answer this one.., Joel was not in a body bag!"
She shared a screenshot of the moment Joel's body was discovered, adding: "He was face down, his jacket wet, and it was a trick of the light that made a rock look like his head… Joel IS dead. There is no extra twist coming."

Britain's favourite ‘dadisms' from pretending their not asleep to repeating the same joke, survey reveals

The survey comes as Father's Day edges ever closer DAD HABITS Britain's favourite 'dadisms' from pretending their not asleep to repeating the same joke, survey reveals Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THE nations favourite 'Dadisms' have been revealed – with pretending they're not asleep, just 'resting their eyes', telling the same story multiple times, and of course, dad dancing featuring on the list. A poll of 2,000 adults found that while Brits love to moan about their dads' cringey behaviour, three quarters wouldn't choose to change them if they could. Falling asleep on the sofa, saying 'back in my day…' or 'when I was your age…', and complaining about the cost of things all also got a shoutout on the list. Despite this tendency for Dadisms, three quarters (76 per cent) claimed they don't find this behaviour embarrassing and prefer to humour their fathers – with 62 per cent likely to laugh at their jokes even when they're not funny. This may be because 85 per cent partake in Dadisms themselves – with the most common including complaining about the cost of things (28 per cent), falling asleep on the sofa (25 per cent), and sending the thumbs up emoji (17 per cent). A spokesperson from Moonpig, which commissioned the research, said: 'Dads can make us laugh more than anyone else – even if this isn't always intentional. 'And they seem to have so many universal behaviours, as if they've been given a manual on what makes a dad a dad. 'This Father's Day we want to celebrate all father figures and the little quirks that make us love them so much.' The other ingredients that make up a classic father figure were also revealed, with top traits identified as hardworking, caring, supportive, and reliable. Dad-centric hobbies included watching football, gardening, and DIY – as well as travelling, reading, and going to the pub with his mates. And the possessions most treasured by any fatherly figure are likely to be his car (24 per cent), toolbox (17 per cent), and family photographs (24 per cent), according to data. Home Bargains launches Father's Day gifts in store & there's a £5.99 present shoppers are already snapping up When asked, a higher percentage of those polled also claimed to find them unintentionally funny (25 per cent) rather than intentionally hilarious (17 per cent). And, on average, a dad will only know 35 per cent of their kids' friends' names – with eight per cent not knowing any of them at all. To celebrate the father figures in their lives, 73 per cent will celebrate Father's Day every year – and to commemorate this day, are most likely to buy him a gift (62 per cent), a card (61 per cent), and go out for a meal (30 per cent). The top factors that influence selecting the perfect card were also identified as humour (50 per cent), a fun and personal design (31 per cent), and a sentimental message about how great he is (30 per cent). Interestingly, more than half (54 per cent) claimed they are more likely to buy a humorous card to celebrate their dad on Father's Day than their mum on Mother's Day – perhaps because 73 per cent hope to see their favourite Dadisms referenced on the cover. Moonpig's spokesperson added: 'Our father figures can be such a source of inspiration, support, and laughter – which is why it's so important to celebrate them every chance we get. 'A heartfelt message, inside joke, or personalised reference to the things they love on their Father's Day card can make all the difference to letting them know how much you care. "So this Father's Day, take a moment to revel in those eye-roll-worthy Dadisms and the little things that make your bond so special – and say it all with a card that's as unique as he is."

ITV 'axes huge Andi Peters and Jeff Brazier perk' in latest cost-cutting

The days of seeing ITV stars Andi Peters and Jeff Brazier flown off to exotic locations to promote competitions for the broadcaster are over - according to reports. Both Andi, 54, and Jeff, 46, would often pop up in some far flung location, encouraging viewers to try their luck and be in with a chance of winning thousands of pounds on shows, including Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. However, money is now a sticky subject at ITV after it announced a string of cuts to its Daytime offerings before staff at the broadcaster were hit with news that there would be redundancies ahead. As a result, ITV will, reportedly, no longer be shelling out for presenters such as Andi and Jeff to sun themselves on sun-kissed beaches while working for the broadcaster in its latest cost-cutting exercise. ITV launches brand new channel amid daytime cuts and redundancies This year alone, Andi has broadcast from the Maldives, Australia, Cape Town, and Florida while Jeff has jetted off to Thailand, Sri Lanka and Malta, which according to insiders, has 'irritated' production staff who have since been told their roles are at risk. Speaking to the Mail, a source said: "ITV has scaled back on sending top talent overseas to present their competition segments. The competitions themselves, which give viewers the chance to win six figure sums and idyllic holidays, bring in a great deal of revenue, but constantly flying the likes of Andi and Jeff to the Maldives and South Africa was starting to frustrate staff and viewers alike. "It was decided that they would dial down for a few weeks after the budget cuts were announced and no one has flown overseas to present the competitions since. "As well as there being a backlash online from disgruntled viewers, it was felt continuing to send talent abroad to luxurious holiday destinations as others are losing their jobs would be in bad taste." Indeed, some viewers did take to social media after it was announced that Lorraine Kelly's self-titled programme will be cut in half next year, to just half an hour a day and will only air 30 weeks of the year. Meanwhile, Loose Women will keep its hour show - but again, it will be cut to just 30 out of 52 weeks a year. Claiming the channel would save money if it didn't keep paying for Andi to be shipped off to yet another picture-postcard location, one fan posted: "If ITV really wanted to save money they would stop sending Andi Peters to Mauritius or the rings of Saturn every time they have a competition." ITV hasn't featured an exotic location for one of its competitions since May 19 when Lisa Snowdon hosted a segment from Cyprus for This Morning, which coincided with their official announcement of budget cuts and job losses. Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV's Media and Entertainment Division, announced the changes last month, where he had said the changes were necessary to "generate savings". However, sources have told The Mirror some shows face a 'death spiral' saying:"It's not a case of viewers seeing less of their shows… it's impossible to see how the high standards will remain the same. Some staff believe Loose Women and Lorraine in particular will enter a death spiral… it's just so sad. Just a handful of people will be working on each of those two programmes which has huge ramifications for how they are going forward." When contacted by the Mirror, ITV declined to comment.

Rod Stewart makes death prediction after health battle Rod Stewart has insisted that he will never retire from music as he says he'll carry on performing until he 'falls flat on stage' or 'watching Celtic win another trophy' Rod Stewart (Image: Getty ) Sir Rod Stewart, who has been topping the charts for over seven decades, shows no signs of slowing down despite celebrating his 80th birthday earlier this year. The rock legend joined Zoe Ball on her BBC Radio 2 show ahead of his headline performance at Glastonbury Legends, where he dismissed any notion of retirement, reports the Express. During his chat with Zoe, he hinted: "My dear record company want me to make a country album, there's so much in the pipeline I've had to drop a few things. ‌ "I'm very busy and thank the Lord I am, because once you give up your career and I've seen it happen to people younger than me, they just fade into oblivion, nothing to wake up in the morning to do. ‌ "Retirement sounds good, I suppose but not for me, it don't," added the father-of-eight, prompting a relieved Zoe to interject: "And thank goodness, maybe you do play golf, but I can't see you retiring and just playing golf. " In response, Rod quipped: "No, I think I'll keep singing until I fall flat on stage like Tommy Cooper or watching Celtic win another trophy in the stands." Addressing his followers on Instagram, he conveyed: "I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu. "Expressing regret, he added, "So sorry, my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I'll be back on stage and will see you soon. " ‌ Rod's upcoming headline act at Glastonbury symbolises a significant comeback, as he prepares to grace the Pyramid Stage in a legends slot for the first time in 22 years since his previous performance at Worthy Farm. In a recent chat with Zoe, Rod let slip that his set would include an appearance from Ronnie Wood, a fellow Faces bandmate who is more famously associated with the Rolling Stones. The star hinted, "I've got three guests coming on, I can't tell you who they are." His much-anticipated performance was confirmed back in November 2024 with Rod announcing, "I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that I'll be playing Glastonbury Festival 2025!" Article continues below Filled with eagerness, he enthused, "After all these years, I'm proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June.
