Love Island's Harrison Solomon makes first public outing since quitting the villa and returning to the UK as he enjoy boys' night out WITHOUT Lauren after breaking his silence on THAT love triangle

Daily Mail4 hours ago
Love Island's Harrison Solomon made his first public outing since quitting the villa as he attended Wembley Stadium to see Oleksandr Usyk take on Daniel for the heavyweight boxing championship on Saturday.
The footballer, 22, left the show in scenes which aired on Friday night in order to join exiting love interest Lauren Wood, however she was nowhere to be seen as he enjoyed a boys' night.
Harrison cut a stylish figure in a white oversized sports shirt and wide legged jeans as he joined close pal and Celebrity Aesthtic Dr Rosh.
Despite his shock and premature exit from the Love Island villa, the hunk appeared in great spirits while heading to take his seat for the much-anticipated match.
It comes after Harrison broke his silence on his famous love triangle with Lauren and Toni Laites and if he regretted having sex on TV.
Friday saw new bombshell Angel Swift made a dramatic entrance and coupled up with Ty Isherwood, which left Lauren single and immediately axed, though she quickly begged Harrison to leave with her.
After sleeping on the decision, Harrison informed the Islanders he would also be leaving and he has now revealed whether he sees a future with Lauren.
Speaking for the first time after his exit, Harrison finally broke his silence on the love triangle drama, which saw Toni left devastated after she learned he had slept with Lauren twice.
'I was relatively new to the Villa so I wanted to explore connections and I came to the conclusion that Toni was the better suit for me,' Harrison said of the drama.
'Then when I went to Casa there was an instant spark and connection with Lauren, I knew from day one there was something special there.
'When I came back from Casa something in the back of my mind was still thinking about Toni.
'If I had left with Lauren when Shakira had the choice to send me home, I think I would've always regretted not giving me and Toni one final go as we left on good terms before Casa.
'That's the reason I gave a little speech before the recoupling on the Terrace. As soon as I did that, I felt terrible towards Lauren. For two days, I tried to go tunnel vision with Toni but there was something holding me back.'
Harrison also hinted that he will be pursuing things with Lauren now he has left the villa, saying he didn't feel like his experience was 'the same' after she left.

'I felt like Lauren and I naturally gravitated towards each other, the connection we have is so so special I wasn't ready to leave it,' he gushed.
'When Lauren first got the text saying she was being dumped my initial reaction to her leaving was ''I'm going''.
'I came here and found what I wanted. Having said that, I didn't want to make an emotional decision, I'm quite an indecisive person and so I wanted to take my time with it, rather than leave and regret what I'd done.
'The fact I stayed a day later and processed everything really helped me,' he continued.
'Me leaving was making a big statement. It shows her I'm really into her and see a serious future with her.'
While Harrison currently lives in Florida, Lauren is based in York but the footy star insisted he doesn't think the distance will be an issue.
'We'll make the distance work! It will be no issue,' he vowed.
'We left on good terms but the two days prior to leaving we weren't talking properly so it would be good to have a conversation, get everything out in the open and hopefully move forward from there.
'I feel very strongly about the girl, I wouldn't have left if I didn't. I have no doubt in my mind that she'll be my girlfriend one day.
'I'm buzzing to see her and reunite! She's such a great girl.'
Harrison also reflected on that scene which saw him have sex in the bedroom with Lauren on TV, before pulling Toni for a chat.

'The spark between us was crazy! I probably wasn't thinking about my parents and them watching it but it naturally happened and I don't regret it,' he told
Asked how he would feel about his parents watching those raunchy moments, he replied: 'I hope they didn't see! But listen, it was a natural thing.
'I don't think I intended to have sex in the Villa but in there all the Islanders could tell we were so attracted to each other, naturally it was going to happen.

Harrison insisted he hasn't left the villa the same person as he entered as he admitted he would have handled things differently if he could go back and do it again.
'I feel like I would've taken myself away from the situation for a day or two and just really figured out what I wanted,' he confessed.
'I would've had those awkward conversations just to let people know where my head was at, I do shy away from those conversations on the outside.
'Especially here, I should've been more honest. It was for the greater good, and it would've stopped people's feelings from getting hurt. People were hurt more by me being so indecisive and trying to avoid awkward conversations.
'I definitely would've gone about handing triangles in another way.'
Finally, he expressed his wish for staying friends with Toni despite the pair butting heads over his treatment of her.
'I did her wrong a few times in there so I understand if she doesn't want to reciprocate that,' he shared.
'The conversation prior to me leaving was a big moment for me and her. I reflected on my whole situation throughout the day, I just let it out.
'You could tell by me getting emotional, I was upset about how I've acted and upset about Toni being upset as well.
'Similarly, if someone treated my sister like I'd treated Toni in there obviously I'd be mortified.
'I wanted to apologise to her and I think she could see I was being genuine. I'm happy with how things were left.'

Roger Norrington: a maverick, an irresistible firebrand and a musical visionary

The conductor Sir Roger Norrington, whose death was announced yesterday at the age of 91, remains still the maverick presence that classical music needs. His mission wasn't only to make us hear the repertoire we thought it knew through the prism of the techniques and playing styles of its time, rather than the ossifications of later traditions. He was also an irresistible firebrand in performance, whose energy wasn't only about inspiring his performers to get closer to the music they were playing, it was also an invitation to his audiences that their listening should be involved too. Norrington wanted everyone to feel the urgency of Beethoven's rhetorical power and rudeness, from the radiance of one of his favourite pieces, the Missa Solemnis, to the emetic contrabassoon in the finale of the Ninth Symphony, which was always the richest of raspberries in his performances and recordings. The Guardian's journalism is independent. We will earn a commission if you buy something through an affiliate link. Learn more. Haydn's symphonies, particularly, were pieces of participative performance art in Norrington's hands, in which his delight in sharing the radical humour and jaw-dropping discontinuities of the music was so evident. The conductor would turn round to his listeners - especially in the Prommers in the arena of the Royal Albert Hall in one of his 42 appearances at the Proms - to make sure we all realised just how weird and wonderful this music really was. The revelations of hearing Norrington's historically informed musical mission in action defined an era, along with his fellow iconoclasts, such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Christopher Hogwood and John Eliot Gardiner, all of whom founded ensembles of period instruments, like Norrington's London Classical Players, and took the lessons they had learnt therein to transform the sound world of modern instrument orchestras. Norrington's work with the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra is the sound of his later legacy in action, in Brahms, Berlioz, Tchaikovsky, and Elgar, as well as Beethoven and Mozart. But Norrington's distinctiveness was his unshakeable belief that there was a right way to play Beethoven – and a wrong one. He was also completely committed to his idea that the curse of vibrato was an aberration in performances of all music composed before the early 20th century, whether Bach to Mahler. While his vibrato-free performances brought astonishing moments – listen to the opening of the slow movement of Bruckner's sixth symphony, and connected music from across the centuries, it was an experiment that didn't catch on. Or at least it hasn't yet. Norrington's many crusades for the right tempo and textures in Beethoven's symphonies, for the clarity and directness of drama in Bach's Passions, for the transparency of sound world in Wagner and Debussy, have had repercussions across the whole of classical music, even with conductors and orchestras who might not think they're working under his influence. Norrington's decades-long mission to wean musical culture off the drug of vibrato may yet have its day. And his work remains fresh and thrilling. His Beethoven recordings with the London Classical Players - all the symphonies, and the piano concertos with Melvyn Tan, from the 1980s - are as impishly radical as ever. The paradox of Norrington's performances is that what seemed like austerity and ideology was in fact a generous invitation to re-hear the incendiary meanings and power of music that had been taken for granted for too long. Norrington was associated with what used to be called 'authenticity' in the performance of 17th, 18th, and 19th century repertoires. But he was too intelligent to believe that what he was doing was a mere restoration job or a return to a sound world of Mozart's or Beethoven's time - something that can never truly be recaptured. He wasn't a musician trying to return to the past. Instead he was going back to find a musical future. The sound of his recordings is the sound of the indelible imagination of all those composers he loved being released in all their rapier wit, sublimity and delirium into our time.

Kimberley Walsh admits Girls Aloud are 'in a different stage' as she reflects on emotional reunion and reveals how their kids were 'blown away' on tour

Kimberley Walsh has admitted that her Girls Aloud bandmates are now in a 'different stage' of their lives as she reflected on their emotional reunion tour. The iconic girl band was made up of Kimberley, 43, Nadine Coyle, Cheryl, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding, until her tragic death from breast cancer in 2021, aged 39. In May last year, the group returned to the stage for the first time in 11 years to go on a huge UK tour, where their late bandmate was kept as the focus throughout. The show included songs dedicated to Sarah, as well as emotional montages of the late star and a rendition of I'll Stand By You featuring her vocals. In a new interview, Kimberley, 43, admitted it was the band's biggest challenge to ensure Sarah had her moment. She told the Mirror: 'That was a tough moment every night, but we all needed it too, we all needed the minute. As hard as it was, I loved that part of the show.' The tour was also special for another reason - it was the first time Kimberley, Cheryl, and Nadine's children saw their mums, and 'Auntie Nicola,' as popstars. 'I think it was a little bit mind-blowing for them,' Kimberley laughed, explaining that her children - Bobby, nine, Cole, seven, and two-year-old Nate - mostly know her for her presenting work. The singer revealed that the group brought their children along on the tour buses and said it was fun for the kids to enjoy the celebrations together. Nadine's daughter Anaíya is just six months younger than Kimberley's eldest, Bobby, while there is are only a few months between Cole and Bear (Cheryl's son with the late Liam Payne). Kimberley added: 'For us as mums, we're in a very different stage of our lives, so we were able to enjoy it for ourselves but also see it through their eyes.' It comes after the star revealed that during the rehearsals for the reunion, the group had 'let it all out' so that they could be strong enough to get through the live shows. However, she added how important they all knew it was to follow Sarah's wishes and show how she was an integral part of the band. She also admitted that despite it being 'tough' for them, they wanted to be able to honour and remember their friend. Speaking to The Sun, she explained: 'She wanted us to do it. She made it clear when she was here, but equally we felt it isn't Girls Aloud without her. She's such a massive part of it, so we wanted to keep her part of it. We're trying to keep her spirit alive.' She continued: 'There wasn't just one moment of her, we made the whole show have a thread of her throughout. And at times we were like: "Is this actually too sad?" Because for us it felt just gut-wrenching. But then, equally, she deserved that time and for people to remember her.' Kimberley said the end result was 'crazy emotional', but described hearing Sarah's vocals in arenas as 'epic' and confessed celebrating their bandmate alongside the fans had ended up being a 'cathartic' experience for the group. She said: 'It's been cathartic for all of us to have that time and to almost grieve with the fans. They've grown up with us. 'And there's no denying that her energy was really missed on stage. But I think everybody could feel that she was still very much intertwined within the show and the band.'
