Former NFL Player Changes Tune on Shedeur Sanders After Second Speeding Ticket
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been pulled over twice in the past two weeks for driving well over the speed limit.

Sanders, 23, was pulled over and given his first speeding citation on June 5 in Brunswick Hills, Ohio, for driving 91 mph in a 65 mph zone. He faces $269 in fines and court costs for failing to appear for an arraignment on June 16, according to an ESPN report from Thursday.
He was pulled over a second time by a Strongsville (Ohio) police officer at 12:24 a.m. ET on Tuesday for driving 101 in a 60 mph zone. Furthermore, the officer's body camera footage shows Sanders being questioned while sitting inside his black Dodge TRX pickup truck.
He faces a $250 citation for the second encounter. He has also received criticism from a former NFL player about his recent behavior. The player didn't make much of an issue out of the first incident.
'The logic and mindset to have gotten a speeding ticket and then less than two weeks later, you're driving over 100 miles per hour and over 40 miles per hour over the speed limit,' former offensive lineman Ross Tucker said during a recent episode of the 'Ross Tucker Podcast.'
Sanders performed well throughout Cleveland's minicamp and even impressed some fans, but that positive view could change because his legal troubles might negatively impact his reputation.

'I don't know if that's entitlement or immaturity; there's got to be some teams that are feeling very good right now that they didn't draft him,' Tucker added. 'I just can't wrap my head around this, and then you drive over 100 miles per hour less than two weeks later.'
Tucker continued, 'There's not many franchise quarterbacks who have had success after making mistakes like this. Not many, and to continue to have the mindset that he has after being pulled over twice in this short time frame and not learn from this mistake, it's mind-boggling.'

Sanders has not issued a response to Tucker's remarks, but did respond to questions about his actions. 'I made some wrong choices personally and can own up to them,' he said in a video obtained by NBC Sports reporter Mike Florio.

'I made some, you know, not great choices,' Sanders continued. 'I learned.'

South Korea's Lee5 Jeong-eun fired six birdies in a five-under par 67 on Friday to grab a one-shot lead over Evian Championship winner Grace Kim and Gurleen Kaur in the second round of the LPGA Portland Classic. "Honestly, all my birdie chances were a short putt, so I think that was the reason I was able to make those birdies and have a low putting stroke today," she said. Kim wasn't thrilled with her performance off the tee, but said her shots into the greens and putting "really backed up my game. "Had a lot of good range, mid-range to long putts today, so that was nice," said Kim. "Just rolled it well." She teed off on 10 and had three birdies and a bogey in her first nine holes. After a birdie at the second she eagled the fifth, then closed with back-to-back birdies at eight and nine. "This week is always a bit of a birdie fest," Kim said. "Knowing that, I'm going to try not to get too ahead of myself and be greedy." Kaur also finished strong, closing birdie-birdie for a four-under 68 to join Kim on 11-under -- one shot clear of Akie Iwai, Pajaree Anannarukarn and Ashleigh Buhai. Overnight leader Adela Cernousek of France carded a three-over par 75 to fall seven shots off the pace. LPGA Hall of Famer Juli Inkster, 65 and playing her first LPGA event since 2022 as she prepares for the US Women's Senior Open, came up just shy of a slice of LPGA history.
