Ranbir Kapoor's latest brainchild, ARKS — a lifestyle brand– recently dropped a new fragrance, and its promotions saw social media stars conversing with the Bollywood actor on all things work, fashion, and ambition.
During the second episode of ARKS Insiders, What Makes My Day – Ambition, Kapoor and digital creator Sahiba Bali engaged in a long, drawn conversation about all things ambition, drive and purpose in life, as well as the little rituals that shape their day. For them, ambition isn't loud; it's deeply personal. It's in the quiet discipline, the perfect fit, and the scent that sets the tone. Because ambition doesn't always shout, sometimes, it simply shows up.
'I think when you are super ambitious, which you are, discipline is actually that one key that leads you to achieving what you want,' Bali told the Jagga Jasoos actor, to which he replied: 'I'm ambitious, of course, you know. I have a certain vision for myself. So I'm always scared of this word ambition, because ambition is a very personal thing,' he said.
'But when someone says you are super ambitious, it also comes with trampling other people and kind of trying to move ahead in life,' he added.
According to Ashish Pillay, Psychologist at Mpower, Aditya Birla Education Trust, Ranbir's mindset on ambition is a beautiful example of self-awareness. 'He doesn't reject ambition, but he questions the kind that's rooted in ego, competition, or blind pursuit. He embraces growth but not at the cost of joy or integrity. He understands that ambition can be deeply personal, and it doesn't always need to be broadcasted or validated externally,' he said.
That humility, coming from public figures, makes a huge impact. 'In a world that celebrates hustle culture, their conversation gently offers another path. One that values consistency over obsession, presence over perfection, and self-care over self-sacrifice,' mentioned Pillai.
'Healthy ambition makes you come alive it inspires you to grow, without losing your soul in the process. It allows room for gratitude, curiosity, and self-compassion. Toxic ambition, on the other hand, demands constant hustle, breeds insecurity, and measures worth only by productivity or accolades,' said Pillai, adding that Ranbir's message for all of us is to live well, be kind to every person, enjoy the little things, and not to overthink.
He added that ambition doesn't have to be a storm, it can be a quiet, steady fire that keeps you warm, not one that burns you out. 'And sometimes, ambition can be as simple as showing up, dressing in what makes you feel good, and being kind. And maybe that's everything,' concluded the expert.

From Raid 2 to Kung Fu Hustle, watch these 5 trending films that will leave you stunned with its climax, streaming on...

Few movies in the action, suspense, and emotion genres stand out, weaving cinematic tales that thrill us. Here is a list of some of the best action-packed films currently streaming on Netflix. Each has its own unique flavors, impressive stunts, or unfathomable plots that are guaranteed to engage and entertain. Raid 2 (IMDb: 8.0) Raid 2, featuring Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, is gripping Indian action thriller that continues the story of a valiant police officer battling crime and corruption. This film's intense action scenes and strong performances make it a mainstay of favorites among high-octane Bollywood thriller fans. Kung Fu Hustle (IMDb: 7.7) This film carries a rare mix of humor and heightened martial arts action. The film retains comic book logic, following a two-bit crook trying to bust into a dangerous gang when he stumbles onto secret martial arts masters in his old neighborhood. It features over-the-top fighting and plenty of laughs, amplifying the action and humor for primo entertainment. My Oxford Year (IMDb: 6.8) It is an overseas youth development domestic film. It tells the story of a young student studying abroad in Oxford. The student is a happy dream chaser, who struggles to adapt to a demanding new environment and a foreign culture while pursuing her studies in architecture. Though less action-oriented, the film has emotional depth, offering a coming-of-age tale with a little more than a flavor of personal growth. Extraction (IMDb: 6.7) This high-octane thriller shows off a dynamic performance by Chris Hemsworth as a black ops mercenary given the impossible job of rescuing a crime lord's son from a hostile city. Relentless action makes the film scarcely able to breathe, and while the direction lacks finesse, the movie compensates with sheer audacity. The Night Comes for Us (IMDb: 7.0) This film from Indonesia, an action spectacle, follows a triad enforcer who is torn between giving in to the triad and doing the right thing. It's known for its violence and the intricate choreography of that violence. Action movie aficionados are guaranteed a visceral experience that pushes the boundaries of action cinema.

Maharashtra Official's Singing Video At Work Goes Viral, Gets Suspended

Latur: A tehsildar from Maharashtra has been suspended after he was filmed singing a Bollywood song while seated in his official chair at his send-off function following transfer, officials said on Sunday. According to a viral video, Prashant Thorat passionately belts out 'yara teri yari ko' from 1981 Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 'Yaarana', with those around him clapping in sync. The board behind Thorat shows 'taluka magistrate'. Thorat, who was posted in Umri in the Nanded district, was transferred to Renapur in neighbouring Latur and relieved on July 30. He took charge of his new posting the same day. Both districts are part of the Marathwada division. On August 8, the Umri tehsil office organised a send-off event for Thorat. During this programme, Thorat sang the Kishore Kumar chartbuster 'yara teri yari ko' in the presence of the staff. However, Throat's musical performance found its way to social media, triggering sharp reactions, with many calling the behaviour inappropriate for someone holding a responsible government position, an official said. After learning about the controversy, the Nanded collector submitted a report to higher authorities, stating that Thorat's conduct had tarnished the image of the administration and violated the Maharashtra Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1979, the official said. Divisional Commissioner of Revenue Jitendra Papalkar, who is based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, acted on the report and ordered Thorat's suspension on Saturday, the official said.
