The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) staged a large-scale combat readiness exercise, 'Falcon Eye 3', on Wednesday, drawing the participation of various military units and senior commanders.
Held under the patronage of His Excellency Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, the drill aimed to test operational efficiency, coordination under pressure, and the execution of command protocols in live scenarios.
Strategic evaluation
The exercise featured briefings, simulations and on-ground manoeuvres designed to mirror battlefield conditions.
Orders were issued by officers to different combat groups, with live assessments made by senior leadership throughout the session.
Speaking after the event, H.E. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed praised the overall performance, describing the implementation as a reflection of advanced planning and disciplined execution.
He said the exercise achieved its intended objectives through coordinated efforts among the participating units.
Leadership direction
He further credited the exercise's scale and ambition to the direction of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister.
Both leaders, he said, have underscored the need for modern training programmes to maintain combat readiness across all BDF units.
Focus on preparedness
The Commander-in-Chief noted that the evolving nature of regional and global threats demands an equally adaptive military response.
He added that Bahrain's current training doctrine is rooted in realism, interoperability, and high-level coordination.
A number of senior BDF officers attended the drill, which is part of Bahrain's broader strategy to maintain a highly responsive and professional armed force.

Efforts During the visit to the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman reviewed the ongoing efforts to expedite the completion of transaction and litigation procedures. He also reviewed plans to develop mosques across all governorates of the Kingdom. Initiatives While on the visit to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman followed up on the progress of initiatives and housing programmes implemented under the Government Priorities Framework. This reflects the government's commitment to enhancing the quality of vital services provided to citizens. The Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Endowments and the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the visions of HM the King and implementing the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Dedication They emphasised their dedication to enhancing judicial systems, further developing mosques and continuing to advance housing projects, services, and programmes that respond to the needs of citizens. They also expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Minister of the Prime Minister's Court for his visits, and for His Highness's steadfast commitment to monitoring the progress of projects aimed at realising the Kingdom's national goals.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of Bapco Energies, witnessed the signing of a strategic energy concession agreement between the Ministry of Oil and Environment and Bapco Energies – the integrated energy group leading the transformation of Bahrain's energy sector – with EOG Resources Bahrain Awali W.L.L, a subsidiary of the United States company EOG Resources specialised in crude oil and natural gas exploration. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs; Mark Thomas, Group CEO of Bapco Energies; a delegation from EOG Resources led by Joseph Korenek, President of EOG Resources International; and a number of officials from both sides. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad affirmed that the signing of this agreement represents an important step in implementing the National Energy Strategy, noting that its provisions will combine Bapco Energies' national vision with the global expertise of EOG Resources, paving the way for new opportunities in oil and gas exploration, contributing to comprehensive national development, and supporting long-term energy security. This agreement builds on the partnership announced in January this year, following high-level meetings between HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and EOG Resources, with the cooperation focusing on evaluating opportunities for oil and gas exploration and development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. On his part, Ezra Y. Yacob, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EOG, expressed his pleasure at the opportunity to assess Bahrain's resource potential, stressing that the company looks forward to working with Bapco Energies to enhance the productive capacity of the sector.
