Bow Wow Reveals Beats He Passed On — Including Rick Ross, Drake & French Montana's ‘Stay Schemin'

Bow Wow gave fans some interesting insight into how beats get passed around, while also making a crazy revelation.
Sitting down with former NBA player Jeff Teague for his Club 520 podcast, Bow Wow was asked which songs he's passed on over the course of his career. First, he mentioned passing on the beat that eventually became Wale's 'Lotus Flower Bomb,' featuring Miguel, because nothing was sticking when he was trying to write a song for it. He then told Club 520 that Polow da Don sent him the beat to Lil Wayne and Rick Ross' song 'John' from Tha Carter IV by mistake after he had already invited Gucci Mane to make a song over Polow's production.

Finally, the rapper and actor revealed that he and Meek Mill had the 'Stay Schemin' beat before Rick Ross, French Montana and Drake made it into a top 20 Hot Rap Songs hit. 'We had the beat first,' he said after saying him and Meek were in the studio working on it. 'You can look that up on YouTube. We had it first. We in Miami in the studio working on the beat together.'
He added that beats being passed around happens all the time in the music business. 'It's just crazy how these beats get submitted to artists and we all get them. But it's dope for me to be able to tell these stories,' he admitted. 'There's so many artists that have those type of stories that you won't even believe.'

9-1-1′s Oliver Stark Fuels Rumors of a Crossover With Spinoff 9-1-1: Nashville

Is Evan Buckley paying a visit to Music City this fall? A recent Instagram story posted by Oliver Stark has convinced fans of the first-responder franchise that a crossover between 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville is imminent. '6 Nashville Miles for breakfast,' Stark posted over the weekend on a video of himself running along the city streets, adding a smirking devil emoji for good measure. ABC Moves Up Premiere Date for 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Nashville and Grey's Anatomy Could Stark have simply been enjoying a weekend getaway to the country music capital of the world? Sure, Jan. But it's far more likely (not to mention way more fun) to speculate that a crossover is in the works. 9-1-1 only staged one full-blown crossover event with 9-1-1: Lone Star during its five-season run on Fox. The February 2021 episode included an iconic exchange between Buck and Lone Star's T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein), who made it clear to Buck that he already had a boyfriend. And just think, that was three full years before Buck came out as bisexual! A second crossover aired in 2022, but it was only by way of a FaceTime call between 9-1-1′s Athena (Angela Bassett) and Lone Star's Carlos (Rafael L. Silva) and Grace (Sierra McClain). Led by Chris O'Donnell, 9-1-1: Nashville's series-regular roster includes Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz and Hunter McVey. Regardless of whether Buck ends up sharing the screen with any of the Nashville crew, we do know that the two shows will be sharing a night on ABC's fall schedule. New episodes of 9-1-1 air Thursdays at 8/7c, followed by new episodes of 9-1-1: Nashville, beginning Oct. 9. Are you hoping for a meeting of the 9-1-1's this fall?
