Bradley Simpson collaborates with ATEEZ's Hongjoong on new Korean-English version of single Almost
The collaboration blends Simpson's original composition from The Panic Years with new Korean-language lyrics written and performed by Hongjoong.
The updated version includes a rewritten second verse and additional vocal harmonies contributed by Hongjoong. In a statement shared on July 25, Simpson described the process as 'very organic,' noting that the collaboration began after Hongjoong posted Almost to his Instagram story.
'We started chatting and he sent a lyric within two weeks,' said Simpson. 'It's really interesting to work with musicians who have different musical styles with me.'
Hongjoong also expressed appreciation for Simpson's music and called the collaboration a creative opportunity.
'Everything went very naturally – the way it approached the song made it easier for me to find a match,' he said. 'Our style is different, but it made it even more interesting.'
The new version of Almost reflects a cross-cultural creative exchange, with both artists bringing unique elements to the reinterpretation. It follows previous collaborative efforts from Simpson, including work with Nieve Ella on Favourite Band.
Bradley Simpson is scheduled to perform at multiple UK festivals, including Together Again, Boardmasters on August 10, and Victorious on August 24.

Why Kelly Ripa is not hosting Live with Kelly and Mark this week — and what fans can expect next
Kelly Ripa has been absent from Live with Kelly and Mark since Monday, August 4, sparking curiosity among fans about her whereabouts. Her absence follows a week after her co-host and husband, Mark Consuelos, also took time off from the show. According to PEOPLE, Ripa is currently on summer vacation and is scheduled to return to the daytime talk show on Monday, August 11. During her break, a rotation of celebrity guest co-hosts has stepped in alongside Consuelos. The week began with actress and comedian Jackie Tohn, who previously appeared on the show and was praised by both Ripa and Consuelos as a potential fill-in. Tohn shared her excitement about co-hosting, calling it 'one of the best days' of her life on Instagram. She was followed by Step Up actress Jenna Dewan, who described the experience as 'the most fun day.' Rita Ora is scheduled to co-host the show on Wednesday, August 6, according to the show's official website. The rotation of guest co-hosts mirrors the previous week when Consuelos was away filming a television project in Los Angeles. During that time, Ripa was joined by various co-hosts including Jerry O'Connell, David Muir, Carson Kressley, and Steve Patterson. Several of them expressed gratitude on social media for being part of the show. Ripa's temporary absence coincides with a particularly busy time for the television personality. On July 29, she and Consuelos premiered their new ESPN docuseries Running with the Wolves, which chronicles their experience as new co-owners of an Italian soccer team. She also recently appeared on Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, adding to her full schedule. Although her absence was not initially explained in detail on-air, the timing suggests it's part of her annual summer break. With her return set for August 11, fans can expect Ripa to rejoin Consuelos for their usual morning discussions on current events and pop culture.
