Concert band to play Memorial Day tribute in Greenville
The concert, known as 'America, the Free and the Brave,' is put on by the Greenville Concert Band.
The band will play a selection of American songs, including those that were popular in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and wars that occurred in the 1900s.
Our very own Gordon Dill will perform a narration of Aaron Copland's Lincoln Portrait.
The concert starts at 7 p.m. at the Rodeheaver Auditorium at Bob Jones University.
Concert tickets are free and can be reserved via the Greenville Concert Band's website.

Report: Update On Danhasuen's AEW Status
Why is Danhausen still on AEW's roster page? It was reported earlier this summer that Danhausen's contract with AEW was set to expire in July. But with August almost over and him still listed on the company's official roster page, clearly something changed. So what's going on between the two sides? According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Danhausen's AEW contract was set to expire on July 1. However, months were added to his contract due to injury time, which keeps him with the company until 2026. Sapp states Danhausen had requested the company not to pick up this option if they didn't have anything creative for him, but they did anyway. Superman 2 Release Date Reportedly Revealed
The release date for may have been revealed. Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios' Superman movie was released in United States theaters in July 2025. Written and directed by James Gunn, the DCU film stars David Corenswet as the titular superhero, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Following the release of Superman, Gunn began to tease Superman 2; however, he's also said that the follow-up will be 'a little different than what one might expect.' It's not immediately clear what Gunn means by this, though David Zaslav did recently refer to the film as being 'the next movie in the Super-Family.' What is the reported Superman 2 release date? According to insider EmpireCity Box Office, Warner Bros. Pictures is looking to release Superman 2 in July 2027. More specifically, the studio is reportedly eying July 9, 2027, or July 16, 2027, as a release date. This means the DCU sequel will be filming at the same time as The Batman 2, also known as The Batman Part II, next year. This is just a rumor at this time, as neither Gunn nor anybody at DC Studios has confirmed that this is the release date for Superman 2. Gunn has said, however, that the treatment for Superman 2 is already done and that production will start sooner than fans may be expecting. He just recently told Collider, 'We're scheduling it now. I'm totally done with the treatment. My treatments are incredibly intense. They're not regular treatments. They're 60-page treatments with dialogue and everything. And so, now I'm just turning that into a script. We're planning out when we're going to shoot that. It's going to be much sooner rather than later.'
