
Motorcyclist taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries
On Saturday at 7:35 p.m., police, paramedics and fire services were dispatched to Vanneck Road in Middlesex Centre for the report of a collision involving a motorcycle.
Early investigation revealed two motorcycles were travelling together, southbound on Vanneck Road near McEwen Drive, when one rider lost control and crashed.
As a result of the collision, the rider was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Vanneck Road remained closed for a few hours between Sixteen and Fifteen Mile Roads as members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team assisted with the investigation.
The investigation is continuing.

Taxi strikes, kills pedestrian in downtown Vancouver
The site of a fatal crash involving a taxi is seen in downtown Vancouver on Friday, Aug. 15. A taxi driver struck and killed a pedestrian in downtown Vancouver Friday night, according to police. Special constables could strike at University of Windsor if deal not reached by month's end

55-year-old man dies after being struck by taxi in downtown Vancouver
A man has been killed after being hit by a taxi in downtown Vancouver on Friday night, police say. Vancouver police say the collision happened at the intersection of Smithe and Cambie streets just after 10 p.m. PT on Friday. There, they say a 55-year-old man was hit by a Black Top Taxi vehicle, and died after being taken to hospital. Police say the taxi driver suffered minor injuries and remained at the scene.
