'I didn't plan to cry, but the tears just came out'
There were tears after PRX defeated European giants Fnatic 3-1 in the Grand Finals at the Enercare Centre in Toronto, Canada to claim their maiden international crown.
Khalish's team also comprised Indonesian Jason "f0rsakeN" Susanto, Singaporean Wang "Jinggg" Jing Jie, Russian Ilia "something" Petrov and Filipino Patrick "PatMen" Mendoza.
The 26-year-old Khalish and his teammates took home US$350,000 (RM1.49 million) in prize money.
Khalish ranked as the Singapore-based PRX team's second best performer with a 1.12 KDA.
PRX, who had lost two Grand Finals previously — in the Masters Copenhagen in 2022 and Champions Los Angeles in 2023, went into the Toronto finals after a dominant upper bracket run in the playoffs.
Fnatic, the Masters Tokyo 2023 champions and top seeds, however, posed a formidable challenge.
PRX began with a 13-11 win on the map pick of Sunset, but Fnatic hit back with a narrow 17-15 win on their pick of Icebox.
PRX then pulled ahead 2-1 with a 13-10 victory on their pick of Pearl before confirming the title with a 14-12 win in overtime on Fnatic's pick of Lotus.
The PRX team became emotional after finally breaking their title drought.
"This victory feels unreal, we've been working very hard for this," said Khalish in a post-match interview before breaking into tears.
"This means everything. Winning an international trophy has always been the goal. We want to be champions, and this is just the beginning," he added after regaining his composure.
"I'm really happy... I didn't plan to cry, but the tears just came out."
PRX will next compete in the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from July 8-13 which offers US$1.25 million in prize money.
Meanwhile, there will be no Malaysian representation in PUBG Mobile at the EWC after Alliance (seventh) and SEM9 (12th) failed to finish in the top three at the Southeast Asia Summer PUBG Mobile Super League in Jakarta on Sunday.

Lassana Diarra seeks €65 million from Fifa, Belgian FA
PARIS: Former France international Lassana Diarra is seeking €65 million (US$76 million) from Fifa and the Belgian football association as part of a long-running legal battle, his lawyer announced on Monday. Diarra's challenge to Fifa prompted the world football governing body to amend its transfer rules after a landmark legal ruling last year, but he has been unable to reach a settlement. His lawyer, Martin Hissel, said the claim was for "compensation for damage caused by Fifa rules" on transfers, which the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled to be contrary to European law last October. "Following a ruling by the CJEU, in the absence of an amicable solution, it is natural to return to the national courts so that they can implement the CJEU ruling," Hissel said in a statement. "That is what we are doing today, on the basis of a very clear ruling by the CJEU, which has settled all the essential legal points. The Belgian courts should deliver their decisions within 12 to 15 months." The CJEU in October found that Fifa rules impede the free movement of players by "imposing considerable legal risks, unforeseeable and potentially very high financial risks as well as major sporting risks on those players and clubs wishing to employ them", thereby disrupting the transfer system. At the request of the Belgian courts, the Luxembourg-based CJEU examined the case brought by Diarra, who 10 years ago had contested the conditions of his departure from Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow. In August 2014, Lokomotiv Moscow terminated Diarra's contract, citing contractual breaches by the player. The Russian side also sought €20 million in compensation from him. Diarra refused and requested that Lokomotiv pay him compensation, but the now 40-year-old was eventually ordered to pay his former club €10 million by Fifa, a fine that was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Diarra also received a backdated 15-month suspension. As a result, Belgian club Charleroi ultimately decided not to sign the midfielder for fear of having to pay part of these penalties, in accordance with Fifa regulations examined by the CJEU. Following the CJEU's ruling, Fifa announced last December it had adopted an "interim regulatory framework" regarding player transfers. "I waited a few months before restarting the national proceedings in Belgium, thinking that, particularly following the efforts of FIFPRO Europe (the European players' union), Fifa and the Belgian football association would at least have the decency to contact me to propose an amicable settlement of the dispute (this was, in fact, the tone of the messages I received from Fifa)," Diarra said in a statement. "This was not the case. It is their right, but it reflects a persistent culture of contempt for the rule of law and for players, despite the very clear message sent by the CJEU. "To my great regret, we will therefore once again have to go before the judges, as I have no other choice." Capped 34 times by France, Diarra also played for Chelsea, Arsenal, Portsmouth and Real Madrid before ending his career at Paris Saint-Germain in 2019.

With a four-round total of 24-under-par 264 (67-67-64-66), Iwai joined her twin sister Chisato as a rookie winner in 2025. American Gurleen Kaur finished a career-best second on 20-under-par 268 (65-68-70-65), one shot clear of Chisato (69-70-66-64) and Sweden's Linn Grant (66-71-65-67). 2025 Amundi Evian Championship winner Grace Kim of Australia was sole fourth on 18-under-par 270 (68-65-67-70). Starting the final round with a two-shot lead over Kim, Iwai was the picture of steadiness as she notched six birdies on a blemish-free scorecard. The 23-year-old from Saitama birdied her last two holes to pull away from the pack, picking up a cheque for US$300,000 to take her season earnings past the US$1 million mark. Playing her first season on the LPGA Tour after earning her card with a tied fifth finish at Final Qualifying last December, Iwai had second-place finishes at the Honda LPGA Thailand in February and the JM Eagle LA Championship in April. Arsenal capitalise on Bayindir error to beat Man Utd
MANCHESTER: Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim said his side can beat anyone in the Premier League despite beginning their season with a frustrating 1-0 defeat to Arsenal. Riccardo Calafiori scored the only goal at Old Trafford. The Italian defender pounced on a mistake by United's stand-in goalkeeper Altay Bayindir. The Red Devils had 22 shots and enjoyed over 60 percent possession. But an expensively-assembled new £200 million (US$271 million) forward line of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and substitute Benjamin Sesko failed to find a way through against the Premier League's best defence for the past two seasons. Only four other teams scored fewer than United's 44 goals in 38 Premier League games last season as the English giants endured their worst campaign for 51 years, finishing 15th in the table. But Amorim insisted the performance showed tangible signs of progress, even if it was not reflected in the scoreline. "We need to win games but that was completely different to last season," said the Portuguese coach. "We were the better team. In the end we lose the game, but really proud of the performance. "We proved today we can win any game in the Premier League, against a great team like Arsenal." After finishing second for the past three seasons, the pressure is on Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to deliver the club's first league title since 2004. The Spaniard was left to depend on his reliable defence and goalkeeper David Raya to secure a huge three points as the visitors never got going as in attack. "Big result," said Arteta. "First game of the season at Old Trafford when you feel they are building something." He conceded his side will have to be much better if they are to rival Liverpool and Manchester City for the title. "It certainly gives you momentum and confidence when you are not at your (top) standards. "Today we weren't, to be fair. The team has to find that resilience through nine, 10 months of the season. "We have to improve a lot of things and that will happen very soon." The new arrivals have lifted the mood around Old Trafford and the majority of the 75,000 fans in attendance could at least leave encouraged by the display of Amorim's men. Cunha and Mbeumo unsettled Arsenal's normally unflappable centre-back pairing of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba early on. United were undone by an error from Bayindir, deputising for the injured Andre Onana. The Turkish international meekly flapped at an inswinging Declan Rice corner on 13 minutes, allowing Calafiori to head into an unguarded net. Patrick Dorgu came closest to a United reply before half-time with a powerful effort from distance that hit the post. Mbeumo and Cunha saw tame efforts easily saved by Raya, while the Spaniard did brilliantly to divert another Cunha shot across the goal. Arsenal had held interest in Sesko for well over a year before instead pursuing Viktor Gyokeres as the solution at number nine. The Swede had a quiet Premier League debut and was replaced before the hour by Kai Havertz. Sesko made his entrance moments later, to a hero's welcome after rejecting the advances of Newcastle for the lure of the 20-time English champions. United continued to enjoy the better of the play without finding the finish. Mbeumo's powerful header was expertly clawed out by Raya.
