Morgan and Johnston spoke to Yahoo Canada about the bond they quickly established while making the show, leading to a lot of "bed stuff" with the actors, who play sisters, on screen. From a story about marriage, divorce, menopause and taking care of older parents, Morgan's show is a reflection of her dream coming true.

Hi, how are you?
Good, my darling, how are you?
Good.
I loved this show so much.
I was hollering so loud.
So I can't wait to chat with you.
To dive deep into the specifics, the episode where your character's dating and she's going through menopause, I thought was so funny.
Also something we haven't seen a lot, but I was laughing so hard when you just lifted your arms up in front of Kristen.
Honey, it wasn't hard.
Because I have gone through menopause and I have sweat, and um, wake up in the middle of the night and Chuck Morgan, my husband has said, 'What is that?'
And I go, Touch this.
And he's like, 'Oh.'
So I, that is all real and that came from an authentic place.
Honey, because I have been through a rough menopause.
Now I haven't had to date, thank the Lord.
Because that would be, oh yeah, oh Lord, I can't imagine a jungle.
It's just not gonna happen.
Yeah.
What are you doing?
I'm getting undressed.
That usually happens at the end of the date.
I can't go.
This was a mistake.
Carol, you're gonna have to call him and tell him I'm sick.
We'll just try again in a few years.
He's an FBI agent.
He's gonna know I'm lying.
You're right, he is, because he's so good at his job and he's so good looking.
You are too.
Wait till he tries your meatloaf.
I've got that recipe from Southern Living.
It's not even mine.
I love seeing you two together, but I really can't think of two people that would be greater as parents, as Celia Weston and Blake Clark.
It's just perfect.
Oh, they were magical, magic.
Just every line.
Even when they messed it up, we were like, we don't care, just, just say whatever, man.
You're brilliant, darling.
Yeah, perfect.
I think so much at the heart of this series is the relationship that you two have and to see Kristen, how your character is kind of supporting Leanne's character, but is also like doing her own, which I think is really great.
Tell me a little bit about just what your collaboration was like.
It seems pretty seamless.
We got along right away.
Instant love, love at first sight.
And then I think, you know, another thing that's so great about this writing team is they picked up on all that and I think they bring that into the relationships.
Like, I don't think there were like 30 scenes set in Leanne's bed between us until we started, they started realizing how great those scenes worked.
So there's a lot of bedstone.
Uh-huh, we take to the bed, we take to the bed together, um, but yeah, I think that was it.
I think a great writer watches the dynamic and builds on it and takes what works and I think our relationship definitely bled into the show a lot.
You're stepping into like a pretty iconic TV genre that I think a lot of people We are gonna watch this and they're gonna feel like a little bit of warm and fuzzy to bring back that like sitcom that I think a lot of us remember, but executed, I think, in a great way that really does justice to our favorites that we loved.
But what was it like for you to be able to kind of step into this and to be able to do the kind of multi-cam sitcom and kind of bring that back, I think.
Oh, you angel.
Well, I was.
It had always been my dream and then, um, and I'd had deals before, but they didn't make it.
And, and then when Chuck Lorre came to me, I mean, it went so fast moving so fast and casting and everything just fell into place.
It was meant to be.
Every Monday at the start of the week, she would come in and be like, I can't, it's too, there's so much to remember.
I can't do it.
I'm, this is gonna be a failure.
I'm, uh, uh, and then by Friday, the audience would get there and she'd be like, Rao, you know, like.
She was just the pro.
Like, and finally after a couple of weeks, every Monday, I'm like, shut up.
You've already said it, you're gonna be perfect because you are.
But anyway it was a big challenge.
It was it was a big challenge, but I tell everybody, she had two jobs.
She had her own job and then she had to coach me.
She helped me so much because I didn't know the terminology.
I didn't know anything, and she would say, this is what's happening.
And I, and then, it helped me so much.
But yeah, it was a big challenge, but a joy.
And then I began, I got settled into it, and I want to keep doing it.
It did; it felt like home by the end of it.

The two were first photographed together in March 2025 and a source later told PEOPLE that Bravo and Woodley been traveling between the U.S. and France to see each other Lucas Bravo and Shailene Woodley are taking their romance to set! The Ferrari actress, 33, was spotted snuggling up to Bravo, 37, on Monday, Aug. 4, while on the set of Emily in Paris. In the photos, Woodley can be seen covering herself with a green baseball cap and sunglasses, and resting her head on Bravo's shoulders as they looked out into the distance. Bravo currently plays Gabriel on Emily in Paris, and the Netflix series is filming its fifth season. Woodley and Bravo first showed off their romance when they stepped out together in Paris multiple times in late March. In the photos, the couple showed a lot of affection for each other as they strolled along the Paris streets. They were photographed holding hands, sharing a hug and draping their arms around one another, smiling as they walked outdoors. Weeks later, Bravo briefly addressed their relationship at the opening night of Broadway's Good Night, and Good Luck on Thursday, April 3. Responding to a question about the actress, Bravo said, "Yeah, I'm really happy." Later that month, the Emily in Paris actor put his romance with Woodley on full display by going Instagram official with her. He shared photos from their trip to Slab City, Calif., with the caption, "Howdy Slab City 🌵" A source later told PEOPLE that Woodley and Bravo are "having a great time together." In May, the source said the pair had been consistently "traveling between the U.S. and France" to see each other ever since they were first photographed together in Paris in March. The insider added that "the relationship gives off a positive vibe" and that Bravo is "an attentive and sweet guy." "He makes Shailene very happy. They're having a great time together," the source said. The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now! Bravo previously spoke about his perception on love during an October 2024 podcast appearance. On an episode of Podcrushed, Bravo opened up about why he is "fascinated with love." "Early on I discovered that it was the fastest way to grow up. It was the fastest way to accept some of the things you thought were issues, physically wise or mentally wise. To be able to be fully yourself in the presence of someone else, and to see that you're not a monster or you're not weird, it's mind-opening, it's crazy," he said. "This was the only thing I was interested in," he added. "I didn't see why I should spend any time on anything else than finding the most intense form of love possible." Disney World Unveils New Pirate-Themed Pub with Nostalgic 'Pirates of the Caribbean 'Touches
The restaurant is slated to open on Friday, Aug. 29NEED TO KNOW Disney shared a first look at The Beak and Barrel, a new Pirate-themed bar and restaurant in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort The menu includes rum cocktails, tropical mocktails and octopus salad with Piquillo pepper-almond foam Fans can make reservations starting on Aug. 14 and purchase themed merch like T-shirts and parrot plushiesWalt Disney World Resort announced the opening of Magic Kingdom's Adventureland's newest bar and restaurant, The Beak and Barrel, back in May and recently shared the first looks of its Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired offerings. On Tuesday, Aug. 5, Disney unveiled a few of the dishes guests will be able to enjoy at the new outpost, from tropical beverages to deep-sea-themed eats, along with a sneak peek at the restaurant's merchandise that features clothing attire and plushies. Guests (or pirates) can look forward to The Treasure Trove – a non-alcoholic concoction of ube, lemon and coconut served with vanilla cake plank, chocolate cannonball and golden caramel popcorn – and The Cursed Treasure, a non-alcoholic beverage thats a blend of 'coconut milk and cookie crumbs topped with vanilla foam and pirate's gold cookie.' The drink is meant to invoke that 'cookies and cream' flavor that all ages enjoy. The seven spirit-based offerings, along with an impressive wine and exclusive draft beer lineup, include the Salty Seas mARRRgarita, Barrels Ablaze, the Hibisbus Rum Punch Royale, Port of Call, Lit Fuse, Plunderer's Punch and Siren's Whisper. The latter is inspired by the Fountain of Youth, a mystical staple of the films, and comes together with Pot & Column Still White Rum with citrus and spice in a mesmerizing shade of blue. Salty Seas mARRRgarita has all the notes drinkers love in a margarita – Lalo Blanco Tequila, Cointreau Liqueur, and lime – with the addition of ube for a Southeast Asian twist. Another visually notable is the Plunderer's Punch, which consists of "KKraken Black Spiced Rum, blackberry, vanilla, and a hint of citrus" and comes in a souvenir skull mug. One of the most eye-catching dishes on the food menu is the Kraken's Catch, a cold salad mixture of olives, bell peppers, avocado and Piquillo pepper-almond foam paired with octopus tentacles marinated in lemon and lime. Other food options include Cook's Corn Griddle Cakes, a corn cake stuffed with melted cheese, lime sour cream and chili peppers topped with cotija cheese, and Island Provisions, a shareable plate of plantain chips, blue corn tortillas, and toasted flatbread that comes with a variety of savory dips. Though many Disney-bound adults are impatiently waiting for the new eatery, some online critics found the new menu to be more promising than they believe it can offer. 'I'm excited to eventually go, but this one plate [The Kraken's Catch] stuck out to me as a little overambitious for a pirate themed tavern in MK,' wrote one curious Redditor, adding, 'I can't wait to have a couple rum cocktails and cold octopus tentacles with olives before heading back out into 95 degree heat and hopping on Thunder Mountain. I'm sure my stomach will feel amazing the rest of the day!' However, another commenter pushed back on the criticism, using the parks' Be Our Guest Restaurant and Columbia Harbor House as an example, writing, 'Be our guest has/had octopus dishes (and drinks!) so i don't think it's that crazy. it's no different than having any other seafood, like the salmon at columbia harbor house.' Whether a fan of the semi-new experimental dish or not, guests can leave with the new T-shirt inspired by The Beak and Barrel and a Parrot Shoulder Plush Reservations for The Beak and Barrel will open on Aug. 14, while the restaurant officially is set to open on Aug. 29.
