Amanda Holden issues six-word warning to burglars before quitting UK with family
In a recent broadcast of Heart Breakfast, the Britain's Got Talent judge revealed that she "cannot wait" to enjoy her family holiday, but issued a word of caution to any would-be thieves Amanda Holden has issued a six-word warning to any potential burglars as she gears up to jet off on holiday with her family. In a recent broadcast of Heart Breakfast, her radio co-host, Jamie Theakston, announced that Amanda was "off on holiday" and inquired whether she was looking forward to her break, to which Amanda replied that she "cannot wait". Amanda, who is set to jet off with her husband, record producer Chris Hughes, and daughters Lexi and Hollie, has enjoyed a number of overseas trips over the last year or so, including jaunts to Barbados, Dubai and Corfu. Yet, Amanda's latest trip doesn't give her any cause for concern regarding security. In fact, there's a perfectly good reason why, but she also issued a word of caution to any would-be burglars. During the show, Jamie addressed his Heart FM colleague by asking: "Amanda, you're off on holiday. I bet you can't wait?" She replied: "I cannot wait. Me and the children and my gorgeous husband, we are gone! But don't go and burgle my house because it's gonna be full up with people. So, just giving you a little note." In February, Amanda left her fans gobsmacked, as she reportedly looked like her teenage daughters ' sister in a photo taken in Barbados. In the snap, she was wearing a black dress as the family enjoyed dinner. In the post, Amanda captioned it with "Me and my girls" alongside a black heart emoji. Fans descended on the comment section to share their words of admiration for the BGT judge. One person said it was a "gorgeous family pic", pointing out that they "look like sisters", adding that "Hollie has grown into a stunning young lady." However, they weren't the only ones to point out the resemblance. The positive comments continued, accompanied by a flurry of red heart emojis. Another simply called them "sisters" and added "gorgeous". A third called them "knockouts". In April, Amanda made headlines again by wearing a striking red dress in Dubai. She was again on holiday with her family and shared various photos of her outfit choices on Instagram. She also drew some positive comments from two other well-known stars. Beneath the photos, Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly and Loose Women's Ruth Langsford posted flame emojis. In related news, Amanda was reportedly left red-faced after accidentally flashing her workmen. Speaking on Heart FM, she revealed that she'd opted to have a time-lapse camera set up outside as she'd been doing some work in her garden. However, after it was set up, the electrician told her it had been rolling for a few days, much to Amanda's surprise, as she admitted that she's "always naked in her back garden". She said: "No word of a lie, I have definitely been naked and then for a joke the other day, I was sorting something out in the garden and my husband waved at me, from the bedroom window, and I flashed my boobs at him." Amanda explained that she had "no idea" the camera was up, and now "Andy's going to be reviewing this footage", so she needs it "deleted".

Mum plays 90s cartoon to four kids for a week and change leaves her floored
With the rise of tablets, smartphones and streaming services, it can feel tougher than ever to get on top of screen time. So one mum found a way to combat this issue Many parents are concerned their little ones are getting too much screen time. This is all the more worrying as the NHS warns that spending hours on devices can impact a child's attention span, communication, problem solving and social skills. So to try and approach the issue in a more old school way, a mum-of-four decided to make a simple change. For one week, she played 90s cartoons for her children instead of the brightly-coloured and loud videos kids have grown used to. And the differences were absolutely staggering. Ariel Shearer, the founder of Mom Taught Me, boasts 88,100 Instagram followers. She regularly shares parenting tips on the platform – and we reckon plenty of mums and dads will be following her lead following the experiment. Ariel said: "After a week of the kids watching only 90s TV shows, here's what I noticed... "I have four under six and here's what I've noticed in each of them. They're less overstimulated, no fast cuts or loud sound effects grabbing their attention every second. "They actually wander off to play rather than just sitting glued to the screen. There's less begging for 'one more episode' – it feels like the shows aren't designed to be addictive. "They engage more with each other while these shows are on. No more meltdowns when screen time ends." Ariel revealed she opted for nostalgic titles like Arthur, Rugrats, Little Bear, Bear in the Big Blue House, Dora the Explorer, Rolie Polie Olie and Blues Clues. Talk about a trip down memory lane! Following Ariel's post, many weighed in with their thoughts. One commenter said: "Both my kids grew up on many of these except Rugrats. We didn't like how bratty the kids acted. "There was a show made shortly after Bear in the Big Blue House called It's a Big Big World and pretty sure it's the same set and costume just turned the Bear into a sloth! My son loved it!" Meanwhile, another commented: "I can't stand having complete silence in my house, need to have something going on, nice to find the old cartoons they aren't as violent."

Taking to Instagram, the mum-of-one, marked her month milestone since her operation, and revealed "some days are hard", and that she missed being able to "pick up" her son Sky. Jessie wrote: "It will be 4 weeks since my breast cancer surgery on Saturday. I am feeling good. "Some days are harder than others. "My movement is good, still very sore but I am getting more like myself everyday. Mentally it's all catching up with me. So giving myself a little space to feel it all. It's a for sure. "Sky has gone away for 2 weeks with his Dad to his Danish fam, but also so I can rest and do physio. (And re organise the whole house with my Mum and my sister as my body) lol. My adhd and ocd still going strong. "I'm not allowed to pick Sky up for a few months and that has been a difficult adjustment, I just want to hold him like this and spin around. "But in the bigger picture it's a small sacrifice to have my health and to still be here. "The day will come I can lift him up for a cuddle. I can't wait for that day. That day is what gets me through these days. These days are weird. "I love being your Mum Sky. I miss my boys." Jessie J reveals she's been diagnosed with breast cancer & will have surgery Earlier this month, the Price Tag star told fans that she was creating space to be "angry and sad" and mourn the loss of her breast, after her mastectomy. Marking two weeks post surgery, she reflected on her health whirlwind and said: "My experience was when I got diagnosed I went into survival mode. "There was so much going on with appointments … "I didn't really have a lot of time to process what was happening or what was going to happen. Jessie J's cancer diagnosis statement in full THE singer took to social media with a candid video where she revealed her news. She said: "Before No Secrets came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. I'm highlighting the word early. "Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word early I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period, I just wanted to be open and share it, one because selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. "I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I'm an open book. "It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse, that's the bit that kills me. "I just want to and just let you guys know it wasn't something I'd planned. But yeah, I'm getting to keep my nipples. That's good. "It's a weird topic and a weird situation, and I know that the press are going to say crazy stuff, but you know, what to get diagnosed with this as I'm putting out a song called No Secrets right before, a song called Living My Best Life. "Which was all pre planned before I found out about this. I mean, you can't make it up. It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job. "I am going to disappear for a bit after summertime ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive t**s and more music." "So I'm currently experiencing some delayed sadness and frustration by having time to process what IS happening." The star continued: "A little disappointed in myself I didn't say goodbye to my old boob enough. Sounds silly but that's where I'm at. "Again that's my journey. I'm sure others felt and did it different. "But for me I didn't think beyond the surgery. I was just being strong. "Well now I'm here and letting myself be angry and sad and all the things. Just for a few days. Then I will sew some padding in a bra to even them out order some t shirts and crack tf on." Jessie also recently clarified she was not "cancer free" after some fans misinterpreted her comments. CANCER DIAGNOSIS Jessie revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in June with a hugely emotional statement. Incredibly, she went ahead and performed at this year's Capital Summertime Ball in London on June 15. Jessie held back tears as she told the crowd at Wembley Stadium that she was taking a break to "beat breast cancer".
