A Friendship Grown to Romance
Pugh and Finn Cole first connected as friends and co-stars on
Midsommar
(2019). Rumours of their romance crystallized in late 2024, when they were discreetly seen attending a Netflix after-party together in East London. Shortly after, appearances at festivals and premieres prompted further speculation.A Vogue interview in September 2024 saw Pugh candidly confirming she was dating someone, although she avoided naming names.
Subtle Romance in Public Light
In April 2025, Cole attended the London premiere of Pugh's Marvel film
Thunderbolts
, joining her family on the red carpet. He later posted photos from the event on Instagram, prompting Pugh to comment with a coy "🫠" emoji, igniting further romance speculation. That gesture was widely interpreted as a playful acknowledgement of their increasingly public closeness.
Pugh Opens Up on Relationship Philosophy
Over recent interviews, Pugh has offered rare insight into her personal life. She expressed a preference for allowing relationships to evolve organically—not on fast-forward. In her Vogue cover story, she spoke with caution and intention:
'I'm allowing myself to take time to let something evolve… as opposed to racing into that.'
In Harper's Bazaar UK, she added that she seeks safety, family, and authenticity—a shift from previous high-drama relationships.
Past Loves & Growth in Perspective
Prior relationships have shaped Pugh's current views. She dated actor Zach Braff from 2019 to 2022, later ending the relationship amid public scrutiny. In 2023, she was linked to photographer Charlie Gooch. Previous flirtations included Harry Styles, though those were never confirmed. Pugh has since prioritized emotional maturity and steadiness in her romantic life.
Who Is Finn Cole?
Cole, aged 29, gained fame for his role as Michael Gray in
Peaky Blinders
. A London native, his breakout role came thanks in part to his actor brother, Joe Cole. Standing at the intersection of charisma and gravitas, his evolving public closeness with Pugh appears to reflect more than a casual friendship.
Engagement: Confirmed or Speculation?
Despite the engagement rumours capturing headlines today, neither Pugh nor Cole have issued official statements confirming an engagement. The report from
Goss.ie
suggests strong industry belief, yet stops short of citing a direct confirmation from the pair. At present, their representatives have remained silent.
Media and Public Reaction
Social media, entertainment outlets, and fan pages have quickly erupted in chatter following
Goss.ie
's headline. If true, the news would mark a turning point for Pugh, who earlier expressed wariness toward headline-garnering romance, preferring instead a life rooted in privacy and depth.
Pugh's Recent Career & Personal Landscape
Simultaneously starring in the romantic drama
We Live in Time
and continuing as Marvel's Yelena Belova (
Thunderbolts
), Pugh remains professionally ascending. Her recent comments about ending endless work cycles and seeking a balanced personal life reflect a broader thematic arc in both her personal and narrative roles.

Asha Bhosle recalls backlash to bold songs like Piya Tu Ab To Aaja and Dum Maaro Dum: 'Majrooh Sultanpuri left the studio and told me, ‘Beti, maine ganda gana likha hai'
Asha Bhosle has lent her voice to some of the most iconic songs in Hindi cinema, from the sultry Piya Tu Ab To Aaja to the rebellious Dum Maaro Dum and the dreamy Yeh Hai Reshmi Zulfon Ka Andhera. But in a recent interview, the legendary playback singer revealed that many of her bold tracks didn't just raise eyebrows, they were outright banned on Indian radio. 'Why do I only get the bold songs?' Asha once asked RD Burman Speaking to Republic Bharat, Asha Bhosle recalled confronting her late husband and composer RD Burman, fondly known as Pancham Da, about his song choices. She questioned why she was repeatedly given provocative numbers, while her elder sister Lata Mangeshkar received the softer, more 'respectable' melodies. 'I once told Pancham, why do I only get these bold songs while the nice songs go to Lata Didi?' she said. But RD Burman stood firm. He had faith in Asha's ability to make such songs iconic. Regarding Piya Tu Ab To Aaja, from the 1971 film Caravan, she remembered him confidently telling her that the song would be a huge hit. 'I have written a bad song,' said Majrooh Sultanpuri and walked out Interestingly, Asha also shared an anecdote involving renowned lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri, who penned Piya Tu Ab To Aaja. She recalled how embarrassed he was during the recording session. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like These Are The Most Beautiful Women In The World Undo 'Majrooh Sultanpuri left the studio and told me, 'Beti, maine ganda gana likha hai. My daughters will grow up and sing this song,'' she said, laughing. Despite his hesitation, Asha went ahead with the song, staying true to her professional commitment. 'I knew the music of the song is good, but I didn't know that the song will be such a massive hit,' she added. Hindi Songs | Asha Bhosle Special Songs | Jukebox Song '3–4 of my songs were banned from Bombay radio' While these songs have since achieved cult status, Asha admitted they weren't always well received. In fact, they were censored. 'My 3–4 songs would get banned from Bombay radio,' she revealed, pointing to the conservative broadcasting environment of the time. Another of Asha's landmark tracks, Dum Maaro Dum from Dev Anand's Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971), also stirred controversy. Despite the film's anti-drug message, the song was accused of glamorising smoking and hippie culture. As a result, All India Radio banned it, and Doordarshan edited the song out when the film was aired on television. Over the decades, however, these songs have come to define the bold, experimental era of Hindi film music, with Asha Bhosle at the forefront, unafraid to lend her voice to songs that pushed boundaries.
