Spain love triangle footballer makes red carpet debut with stunning new girlfriend as he tries to move on from the drama
Atletico Madrid star Robin Le Normand - who had previously been involved in a love triangle - has been spotted with a stunning new girlfriend on the red carpet.
The Spanish international was suited and booted as he posed alongside model Cassandra Cano at the 2025 Laureus World Sport Awards in Madrid on Monday.
Le Normand was all smiles they struck a pose and the couple were spotted in deep conversation as they made their way across the red carpet.
The defender's public appearance with Cano comes after the end to his 'love triangle' with the daughter of PSG boss Luis Enrique - Sira Martinez - and Barcelona star Ferran Torres.
Martinez and Torres first started dating when the latter was at Manchester City over three years ago but ended the relationship in May 2023 to focus on their careers.
Reports in April 2024 then claimed the 24-year-old was dating Torres' Spain team-mate Le Normand, though this was never officially confirmed as well.
Then, in February, Torres and Martinez fuelled rumours that they rekindled their relationship via social media.
The pair followed each other back on Instagram and the Barcelona star even liked one of her recent posts from the Maldives, before removing it after eagle-eyed fans spotted it.
According to El Nacional, she fell in love with Torres while he played for City and had already been selected by her father to play for the Spanish national team.
Luis Enrique, Martinez's father, managed the Spanish national side before taking over at PSG.
Torres was at City between August 2020 and January 2022, making his first senior appearance for his country in a 1-1 draw with Germany a month after he arrived at the Etihad Stadium.
They lived together in Barcelona after his £55m move to Barcelona. They went their separate ways in May 2023 after Martinez broke up with the footballer.
Martinez reportedly wanted to focus on her sporting career. She has 341,000 followers on Instagram and has been riding horses since she was a child.
Le Normand, meanwhile, was born in France and started playing at Brest but obtained Spanish nationality in 2023 and was part of the Spain squad that won the UEFA Nations League in the same year.
Martinez and her father Enrique were hit by tragedy in 2019 with the death of her sister Xana, at the age of 9 from bone cancer.
Enrique revealed that Xana had fought osteosarcoma for 'five intense months' and described her as the 'star that guides our family'.
Speaking in 2020, she admitted that she now views life in a different way following Xana's death on August 29 the previous year.
As reported by Marca, she told Vanity Fair: 'I am very sensitive, but when I have to be strong I can be,' Martinez told Vanity Fair.
'What I have experienced with my sister has made me look at life differently.
'Before I moaned at the smallest of problems and now I stop and say that I have to live life and enjoy every moment of it; you never know when it will end.'

Rod Stewart makes distressing death prediction amid string of show cancellations before Glastonbury
Rod Stewart has talked about his own death, just days after cancelling eight of his shows and sparking serious health concerns ahead of his Glastonbury Legends Slot later this month. Sir Rod Stewart has had a very successful music career, spanning over six decades, and despite recently celebrating his 80th milestone birthday, the rock icon has insisted he won't be slowing down any time soon. The 80-year-old joined host Zoe Ball on her BBC Radio 2 show ahead of headlining Glastonbury Legends Slot this month, where he brushed off any speculation about him retiring in the near future. Chatting to Zoe, he teased: 'My dear record company want me to make a country album, there's so much in the pipeline I've had to drop a few things. I'm very busy and thank the Lord I am, because once you give up your career and I've seen it happen to people younger than me, they just fade into oblivion, nothing to wake up in the morning to do." He added: 'Retirement sounds good, I suppose but not for me, it don't" as Zoe interjected: 'And thank goodness, maybe you do play golf, but I can't see you retiring and just playing golf.' Rod responded: 'No, I think I'll keep singing until I fall flat on stage like Tommy Cooper or watching Celtic win another trophy in the stands.' The father-of-eight has addressed his rumoured retirement in the past and previously issued an emotional declaration to fans, the Express reports. Taking to Instagram to shut down the speculation, he wrote: "I shall never retire. "I was put on this earth to be a singer and will keep doing so for as long as the good lord lets me." It comes after the Maggie May singer recently announced he was cancelling eight performances, including four in Las Vegas and two in California. Taking to Instagram to explain, he wrote: 'I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu. 'So sorry, my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. "I'll be back on stage and will see you soon." His headline Glastonbury Legends Slot marks a monumental return for the singer as he'll take to the Pyramid Stage 22 years after his last performance at Worthy Farm. Sir Rod recently disclosed that he would be joined by his Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood on stage, who is better known as a member of the Rolling Stones. Speaking to Zoe, the singer added: 'I've got three guests coming on, I can't tell you who they are.' Rod's appearance was confirmed in November 2024. At the time of the announcement, he said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that I'll be playing Glastonbury Festival 2025! "After all these years, I'm proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June. I'll see you there!"
