She ditched her signature bombshell blonde! Carrie Underwood debuted her bold hair transformation on social media on Monday, August 4, and fans are LOVING it. The country music icon ditched her light blonde tresses in favor of a darker look, and she looks so good.
The "Jesus, Take the Wheel" singer posted a couple of photos and video to a carousel on Instagram, and added the caption, "Well, the last time I saw my natural hair color, I was probably about 12 years old, but I thought it might be time to give it a second chance. Thanks, @hairbykatelin_ at @parlour3beauty for helping me get back to my roots!" She also added the hashtag "bronde," a popular term for hair color somewhere in between brunet and blonde.
The change may be subtle, but fans are loving it. Within minutes, the post racked up over 50,000 likes and 1,500 comments praising the stunning transformation. Fans repeatedly praised the look as "gorgeous," "beautiful," and "stunning."

Her followers were also quick to point out that she would look beautiful with any color. One person wrote, "You would look beautiful with any color," and another added, "You're gorgeee either way!!!"
Other still praised the "natural" look. Someone reacted, "I love it. You always look beautiful but the darker tone makes you look more natural and even prettier. It suits you." Another person chimed in, "Amazing. Natural is soooo much better."

It's a common thing among New Yorkers to feel like you've just missed the city's greatest era, but I genuinely mourn the fact that I wasn't a Brooklynite during the original run of Sex and the City on HBO. No less an authority on rom-coms than Mindy Kaling underscored the impact of the show in her first book, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, writing: 'Let me take a moment here to stress again just how pervasive the Sex and the City culture was in New York in 2002. You could be an NYU freshman, a Metropolitan Transit Authority worker, or an Orthodox Jewish woman living in a yeshiva: you watched Sex and the City.' And what, exactly, has my generation of Netflix-addled millennials been handed instead of the SATC culture that Kaling raved about? And Just Like That…, of course, a series that was to the original series what the five million Bring It On sequels were to the first 2000 film. Now that the less-than-perfect reboot is officially ending after three seasons, I'm left wondering just what it was that went so awry. This season in particular has been something of a slog to get through, and I'm a person who used a picture of Carrie Bradshaw as the background of the first computer I ever owned. If I'm only watching out of professional obligation, you know something is wrong. Carrie may have inspired generations of young women to worship graven images of her clothes, but what I loved about her on the show's original run was that she wasn't aspirational, not all the time. Yes, she had the great job and the perfect wardrobe and the cute apartment and the girl squad and the line of men waiting in the wings to date her, but she also got pigeonholed as a sex columnist and couldn't afford her outfits or apartment and fought with her friends and got dumped and did a million other things that made her feel like an actual person, not just Pinterest fodder. I don't doubt that the 50-plus-and-fabulous life of a rich New York widow was an exciting proposition for some (especially mankeeping wives who hate their husbands but will only admit it after two white wines), but modern-day Carrie's story was also freighted with loss (see: Mr. Big), decades-old baggage (see: eternal loser Aidan), and storylines like disliking the mega-luxe New York City apartments her hot realtor friend showed her. (No offense, but…snore!) Of course Carrie's life in her 50s was going to look different than it did in her 30s, but it's been hard to shake my image of our heroine as the ultimate single, unencumbered, footloose-and-fancy-free-in-expensive-Manolos New Yorker who arguably prefigured the West Village girlie. Sure, she flirted a bit with her weird British neighbor, but why didn't we get to see Carrie really hit the dating market again? I would pay good money to see this woman's Hinge profile! (Okay, fine, she'd clearly be on Raya, but still.)

Jussie Smollett Returns To Fox For ‘Special Forces' Reality Show
Actor Jussie Smollett, who has seldom been seen on screen since he was accused of staging a hate crime in 2019, will star in the new season of Fox's 'Special Forces: World's Toughest Test,' marking his return to the network following his rise to fame on the drama series 'Empire.' (Photo by) Getty Images Smollett is one of 18 celebrities who will star on season four of 'Special Forces,' a reality competition show in which participants face difficult challenges resembling actual military training. The series premieres on Sept. 25 and will be Smollett's first gig on Fox since 'Empire' wrapped up in 2020 at the height of controversy over Smollett's allegedly staged hate crime. Smollett has seldom worked in film or television since the fallout over the alleged hate crime incident: He directed two independent films, 'B-Boy Blues' (2021) and 'The Lost Holliday' (2024), which were backed by his own production company but were not widely seen. Smollett, who rose to fame starring on 'Empire' between 2015 and 2020, claimed in January 2019 he was the victim of a hate crime and told police two men physically attacked him, poured an unknown liquid on him and called him racial and homophobic slurs. Smollett quickly garnered an outpouring of support from politicians and fellow celebrities, but following a police investigation, Smollett was charged in February 2019 with disorderly conduct and filing a false police report. Charges were dropped the next month in exchange for Smollett completing community service. But in 2020, following another investigation, a special prosecutor charged Smollett again for disorderly conduct and filing a false police report. He faced trial and was found guilty on five of six counts, and in 2022, he was sentenced to 150 days in jail and fined. Smollett served six days in jail and was released after his lawyers filed an appeal, arguing he shouldn't have been charged again after the initial charges were dropped. In November, the Illinois Supreme Court overturned Smollett's conviction. What To Watch For A documentary purporting to have 'new evidence' about Smollett's case will premiere on Netflix later this month. Netflix announced 'The Truth About Jussie Smollett?' in July, which it says will investigate the 'shocking true story of an allegedly fake story that some now say might just be a true story.' The documentary is produced by RAW TV, the company behind popular Netflix documentaries 'Don't F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer' and 'The Tinder Swindler.' The upcoming fourth season of 'Special Forces' will also feature 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Teresa Giudice and her daughter Gia, Olympic athletes Shawn Johnson East and Christie Pearce Rampone, Bravo star Brittany Cartwright and social media celebrity Brianna LaPaglia.
