NARS' new cream eyeshadow 'doesn't budge' on oily eyelids

Daily Mirror04-06-2025
The Total Seduction Eyeshadow Stick is available in 16 shades and is already a hit with beauty fans
Adored makeup brand NARS has launched its brand-new summer makeup range. The Hot Escape Collection includes a range of new-season essentials that are available to shop now on the NARS website and nationwide.
The collection features the Afterglow Lip Oil, Hot Escape Cheek Palettes, and a brand-new £28 eyeshadow stick that's already been dubbed the 'eyeshadow of dreams'. The Total Seduction Eyeshadow is a creamy matte-and-shimmer hybrid that beauty enthusiasts are calling 'the best product I've found.'
Available in 16 shades, the formula promises an all-day, crease-resistant finish - even in the summer heat and humidity. One reviewer praised it for not budging even on oily eyelids, and in clinical trials, the colour stayed put for up to 16 hours, making it perfect for long beach days and hot city nights.
As reported by OK!, when customers purchase two or more products from the Hot Escape collection, they will receive a free golden pouch at checkout when they enter the code GOLDEN. NARS isn't the only beauty brand making waves with fresh summer offerings at the moment.
Kayali fans will be thrilled to learn that full-size versions of the much-talked-about 'Vacay in a Bottle' collection are now available, arriving just in time for the warmer months. After an initial launch as a discovery set, the four 50ml bottles can now be snapped up for £79 apiece from top retailers, including Cult Beauty.

In addition, the OK! Beauty Box has unveiled a special edition Summer Beauty Box as a one-off purchase crammed with 12 dreamy products. Among the eight full-sized items are Trinny London's Golden Glow Bronzer and Hello Sunday's The Take-Out One Invisible Sun Stick.
Nearly 200 NARS fans have shared their thoughts on the Total Seduction Eyeshadow. One buyer wrote: "I love these. Even with my oily eyelids, they don't budge, and the colours are stunning. I use these in lieu of an eyeliner pencil, and they work so well. I'm really pleased with my eyeshadow sticks. I would definitely repurchase."
Another customer labelled it the 'eyeshadow of dreams' and commented: "I love this eyeshadow stick. I was amazed at how easy it was to apply and how nice it looked after application. I love the colour as you could use it on its own or apply another eyeshadow. There is no fallout from it, and you can apply it according to your preference."
Some people are unfortunately less impressed, with one saying: "It doesn't blend that easily, and the colour lacks depth. You have to apply a couple of times for any colour. After a couple of hours, it went patchy even after primer."
In contrast, another happy customer left a glowing review for the Total Seduction Eyeshadow: "Very blendable, super pigmented, the texture is sublime, so smooth just easily glides on the lid, and it doesn't move once set. I've got very sensitive eyes and didn't get a reaction. It's also easy to remove with makeup remover. I'm hooked."
"Another great product from NARS," someone else added. "Perfect eyeshadow stick, extremely easy to use, has great pigment, blends super easily, and helps create gorgeous eye looks in seconds. One of my go-tos, especially to travel with. I always throw it in my makeup bag for evening looks."

TOWIE's Harry Derbidge breaks silence on 'absolutely mental' group chat drama

The Only Way Is Essex is set to return to screens on Sunday for its 36th series and original cast member Harry Derbidge has set the record straight on the group chat drama One of the most explosive The Only Way Is Essex cast rows in the programme's 15-year run is about to hit screens. ‌ The ITV2 reality series makes its comeback on Sunday (August 15) with series 36 as the Essex crew jet off to Portugal for some sunshine and drama. ‌ But there was chaos during the getaway which has been branded as "dramatic". ‌ Amy Childs, Lauren Goodge r, Harry Derbidge, Ella Rae Wise, Dani Imbert, and Elma Pazar turned up to the ITV Reality bash in London last week to give fans a taste of what's coming in the new series. Harry, who featured in the programme's debut series back in 2010, revealed: "I feel like the Portugal trip is going to be the juiciest part because there's so much that happens.", reports OK!. "So much happens in our lives in between filming so when we go back to filming them first eps we're all reliving about what happened in the gap. "It's stemmed from a very juicy group chat which I feel everyone is going to be quite buzzing to know about." Ella, who recently appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, remarked: "I wasn't even here." ‌ Harry went on: "We had a group chat basically and it's gone absolutely mental, everyone is going crazy in this group and she didn't even know about it because she was in the Big Brother house." Ella added: "I came out and i was like 'oh, it's all gone wrong'. I've gone in there to boost my career and it's all gone wrong." ‌ Amy revealed: "Me and Lauren [Goodger] were sitting there. I had a little glass of Prosecco and she's like 'this is too much' and I was like 'this is a lot'." It's still unclear who features in the group chat and what precisely the drama concerns, but the cast assured viewers they won't want to miss the unfolding chaos. Ella ended things with co-star boyfriend Dan Edgar prior to entering the CBB house, and the blonde beauty has disclosed that their split will feature heavily throughout the series. She revealed: "There's confusion and potentially a lot of unfinished business but it all unfolds in the new series."

Olly Murs' words of warning to Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan over baby Palma

EXCLUSIVE: It's been non-stop for singer Olly, 41, and wife Amelia, 32, who are expecting their second child while juggling looking after their toddler Madison Olly Murs had some advice for his pal and new dad Mark Wright - but it also came with a warning. ‌ It's been non-stop for singer Olly, 41, and wife Amelia, 32, who are expecting their second child while juggling looking after their toddler Madison. Former TOWIE star Mark and wife Michelle Keegan also have their hands full after welcoming baby Palma back in March. And Olly had a few words to tell him when he approached fatherhood for the first time. ‌ "People said to me, 'Olly, enjoy the first four months. They're the best time.' And I was like, 'What?' When Madison came it didn't feel like that," he told OK! magazine. "I told Wrighty that and he took it on board. I've been saying, 'Enjoy your trip to Majorca, because, trust me, when Palma is crawling or walking in a few months, that's a whole other level.' ‌ READ MORE: Mark Wright shares big 'disappointment' after holiday with baby Palma and Michelle Keegan "I also warned him about the weaning stage. You think they're choking and your wife's like, 'It's fine – she's just got to learn how to use her mouth.' What's it called? The gag reflex. I'm like, 'Babe, I can't. I'm off to sit in the other room.'" However, he does hope that their daughters become friends as they're both around the same age. "And with us being parents at the same time, it's going to be special," he said. "We haven't had time to make it work because our schedules are so mad, but we will when things calm down. "Wrighty and I have already spoken about going on holiday and just being together, which will be fun. We've got such a good friendship, and I really want Michelle and Amelia to meet properly. I'm sure they'll have loads in common." Outside of daddy duties, singer Olly has just finished his latest tour and he is still presenting his Heart FM weekend radio show alongside fellow M&S ambassador Mark Wright. ‌ Speaking about his role, he said: "The fact we could do the photo shoot with Madi and the bump was really special. M&S is an amazing brand and part of British culture, and hopefully we can inspire more parents to go to the clubs." While Amelia explained it began while she had been going to the club. "I've been a member almost since it formed," she said. "It can be quite lonely as a mum, but this gives you a sense of community, and a reason to go out. There's so much parents don't know, but you can learn about everything from weaning recipes to what kind of nursing bra to buy." ‌ Olly added: "It's lovely that mums can go and just have a chat. You know, 'Am I doing it right?', 'This happened today', 'Oh, my god, I did the same thing.' It gives you a bit of reassurance that everyone's going through the same thing." The couple also opened up about their baby being due, with Amelia admitting she sometimes gets a bit "overwhelmed" at the thought of having two children under two. Amelia also didn't have an easy birth the first time around. "We were planning a natural birth, but Madi was in a precarious position," she said. "She was transverse [sideways] so we didn't have an option. The recovery was brutal and I wish people had been more honest about that. Maybe it's because I'm active, but I didn't realise how much I wouldn't be able to do afterwards."
