The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO adds a limited-edition Mopar package, which doesn't alter its 540-hp engine.
The new package adds a bed-mounted spare-tire carrier, RamBar, running boards, and tow hooks.
Production is limited to 250 units, and the $6500 package brirngs the total price for the Mopar RHO to $88,730.
Ram's most off-road-capable pickup truck gets a new limited-edition Mopar Package. The new package is based on the Ram 1500 RHO that the brand displayed at last year's SEMA show. However, production is limited to just 250 units, with 225 earmarked for the United States and 25 for Canada.
Unfortunately, anyone who immediately correlates the name Mopar with high-displacement Hemi engines will be disappointed by this particular Mopar edition. That's because the Mopar Package Ram 1500 RHO comes with the same 540-hp twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six found in the production RHO and available in the standard Ram 1500. In fact, the special edition comes with all of the same equipment as the factory Ram 1500 RHO.
What the Mopar package does add is a spare-tire carrier and RamBar to the bed, running boards along the sides, and tow hooks at the front and back of the truck. The exterior is finished in Diamond Black Crystal Pearl Coat paint with a custom Mopar Blue and gray graphic. The interior comes with customized bits as well, including a serialized badge of authenticity stuck to the center console. Ram is even throwing in an 83-piece tool kit and a USB cable to charge your phone.
Pricing for the Mopar Package runs $6500 and requires the RHO's Level 1 Equipment Group. All in, the special edition runs $88,730 and is expected to arrive at select dealerships later this spring.

NASCAR Insiders Reveal Details On 'Evolving Situation' After RAM Announcement

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. The entry of Stellantis' RAM Trucks into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2026 was announced at the Michigan International Speedway on Sunday. However, the brand still remains without a team, and details of how it would go racing are yet to be announced. The Athletic's Jeff Gluck and Jordan Bianchi revealed RAM's approach to the entry and why its participation is equally important for other automakers. RAM dropped a bombshell at the Cup Series race, making it the first OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to join the sport since Toyota introduced its Tundra in 2004. Tim Kuniskis, CEO of RAM, spoke of a "solid plan" for its NASCAR program. Newsweek Sports reported his statement: "For more than a decade, customers and our dealer network asked about getting back into NASCAR. The desire was always there, but we didn't have a plan that delivered the last tenth and following just didn't fit our DNA. Now we have a solid plan that will set us apart from the field and will bring fresh new interest and engagement to America's Motorsport." More"There will be more details on our NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series program later this year. We are undoubtedly having fun with this project, and I truly look forward to sharing information on our team and how getting back on track relates to the future of Ram performance." He added: "We're looking for a date to the prom right now. So how am I going to get to Cup? That's going to depend on how I get to Truck. So however we get to Truck is going to obviously weigh heavily on 'do I have a path to Cup?' Our intention is not to do a one-hit wonder and go to Truck and not to Cup. That's not our plan." Speaking on The Teardown podcast, Bianchi elaborated on RAM's approach, revealing that their plans are yet to be decided. He said: "It is very much still TBD. Now there's directions they're heading in on a couple fronts on the team side of things, but to say that certainly a deal is not done and it is an evolving situation for sure." RAM's announcement at Michigan was allowed, despite the track being linked to rival brand Chevrolet. This is a big sign that other automotive manufacturers welcome RAM's entry into the sport. Gluck explained: "It's so important like that, just to underscore this, why the other manufacturers even want them in too, it increases the competition. Because this is a Chevy track. Each track has a manufacturer alliance, like a pace car branding, all that stuff. "This is a Chevy track, RAM made their big announcement by running down the front stretch with this contraption thing and spinning the truck. Chevy let them do that because they want them in there. They want the competition. It's good for the whole sport."

The HEMI is back: Citing customer feedback, Ram returns V8 HEMI engines to 1500 pickups

The HEMI is back: Citing customer feedback, Ram returns V8 HEMI engines to 1500 pickups Show Caption Hide Caption Detroit Free Press Car, Truck, Utility of the Year revealed Decades of work by Toyota and a bold new strategy from General Motors pay off with great vehicles, all priced in the heart of the market. Ram discontinued the HEMI engine in 2024, opting for a more powerful and fuel efficient inline six-cylinder engine. Citing customer sentiment, Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis said the brand would rerelease the V-8 HEMI engine in most of its pickup offerings. Kuniskis also noted a change in Ram's market approach, with an extensive focus on one-to-one retail sales with "real customers." A year after removing the HEMI, Ram is reintroducing its famous V-8 engine to its product lineup and unveiling a new logo to accompany it. At a preview event with automotive media, Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis said the HEMI is coming back to Ram trucks along with a new emblem that the brand is calling a "symbol of protest," featuring a ram's head jutting out of a V-8 engine block. Rams reequipped with the HEMI engines will be available for sale this summer, the company said, in the following Ram 1500 models: Tradesman, Big Horn, Express, Warlock, Laramie, Rebel (available later than other models), Limited and Longhorn. A year ago, Ram announced it would be discontinuing the HEMI V-8 engines in favor of a more fuel-efficient and powerful Hurricane twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine. The hurricane engines also performed better under emissions regulations. That move, Kuniskis said, was a mistake. "Ram screwed up when we dropped the HEMI — we own it and we fixed it,' Kuniskis said in a statement. Both the Hurricane and HEMI engines will be available for buyers now, giving buyers a choice. Kuniskis said that the decision was informed by customer feedback. People were mad. Toyota Tundra recalls: Is Toyota's most expensive truck reliable or plagued with issues? "(Buyers) hate the fact that we took away the freedom of choice," Kuniskis said. "We as Americans, probably more so truck buyers, hate the fact that we said, 'This is the choice you get, this is the engine you're going to take.' " Kuniskis said Ram's market approach has changed to focus almost entirely on retail sales, pulling back on fleet and rental business. Kuniskis considers this the truest reflection of the automotive market, he said, referring to retail sales as "sales to real customers." As is common with Kuniskis, whose persona reflects Ram's brand identity as loud and unapologetic, he was quick to decry experts who hawk Ram's sales numbers. The decision to bring the HEMI back was made because he heard enough from people who were upset, not crafty data analytics. "At the end of each month, we count sales to customers, not statisticians or ideologues," Kuniskis said. "Data be damned — we raise our flag and let the HEMI ring free again!' added Kuniskis. NASCAR Confirms Talks With New Automakers Following RAM Trucks Announcement

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Following the announcement of RAM Trucks' entry into NASCAR in 2026, John Probst, NASCAR's executive vice president and chief racing development officer, has confirmed that the sport is in discussions with three other manufacturers for a NASCAR entry in the future. RAM separated from Dodge in 2010, and before that, the brand had celebrated three manufacturer championships in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2001, 2003, and 2004. The team last raced in 2013. There has been no new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in NASCAR since Toyota introduced the Tundra in 2004. Probst shared that, for an OEM, to participate in NASCAR was a "good investment" and revealed that Cup Series newcomers would be allowed to follow an 18-month schedule to prepare and develop their team and cars to race. A general view of the Ram announcement that its brand will return to NASCAR competition, scheduling a Craftsman Truck Series campaign beginning in 2026 on the midway prior to the NASCAR Cup Series FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway on June 08, 2025 in Brooklyn, Michigan. MoreOpening up on the ongoing discussion with other automakers during the announcement of RAM's NASCAR entry, Probst said: "I don't want to jinx ourselves, but I would say that we are very close with one other. Can't speak for them. Obviously, it's their decision to make. We would love for them to decide to come into NASCAR, and even with that, there's one or two others that we're a little bit earlier in the discussions, but also looking pretty positive. "But we all know that an OEM deciding to come into NASCAR, it's a big commitment for them. It's not something that they take lightly. It requires a lot of research and approval at the highest levels. We're confident right now. We like the position we're in, and think that we're a pretty good investment for an OEM." Could Honda be one of the automakers NASCAR has been in talks with? A report by Sports Business Journal, which anticipated the arrival of RAM Trucks, stated that "Honda is also said to be eyeing a potential entry into NASCAR, though the timing of that is less clear." The entry of RAM would likely encourage manufacturers to consider a NASCAR entry, and push forward those that are already in talks. RAM Trucks CEO Tim Kuniskis confirmed that his team will be all set to race next year at Daytona. He said: "We'll be on track in Daytona in eight months, and the way we're going to do it is unlike anyone else." Kuniskis hinted that RAM's ultimate goal was to race in the Cup Series. He added: "We're looking for a date to the prom right now. So how am I going to get to Cup? That's going to depend on how I get to Truck. So however we get to Truck is going to obviously weigh heavily on 'do I have a path to Cup?' Our intention is not to do a one-hit wonder and go to Truck and not to Cup. That's not our plan."
