The story of Nafratein is centred around Karan (Aryan Kumar), who lives life on his own rules. He goes to college just to showcase his masculinity and beat his fellow's black and blue in a fit of rage. However, life takes an unexpected turn when he falls in love with Ishika, who is all set to marry someone else. Will Karan win her again? Will his aggression make things ugly for him? The answer to these questions lies in the film.

Joy Bhattarcharjee's story ja quite fresh and entertaining. It stands out and looks like a story of the present day. The film showcases a vast journey of the protagonist and it's stitched together very well. When it comes to the screenplay, the tension continues in the entire pre-interval and intermission portions. Post-interval, the film turns out to be an emotional affair.
Aryan Kumar owns the film as Karan. He makes a confident debut and puts his best foot forward. He has boyish looks, and still, when he enters the college premises, he turns ruthless, which is totally convincing. The actress essaying the role of Ishika also puts in a good act and lends support to the story. Her onscreen persona exudes natural innocence. On the other hand, the rest of the cast have done a fine job and have lived up to their parts.
On the whole, Nafratein is a well-made love saga which has tremendous appeal for the youth.
