Man pays £10 for Nike trainers at charity shop but is bowled over by true worth
A man who paid £10 for a pair of Nike trainers in a local charity shop was bowled over to discover their true worth. Sammy, known as Sammy R Resells on TikTok, said he uncovered an "absolutely insane find" at a local charity shop recently, and he can't get over just what he managed to bag.
The content creator, who calls himself a "full-time reseller" on social media, opened up about the charity shop gem in a video, and people can't believe just how lucky he got. He said he's set to make a "big profit" on the find thanks to how much the trainers are worth.
In the clip, he said: "I found these trainers in a charity shop for a tenner. Now, if you don't know what these are, these are the Nike X Stüssy, I think they're called Cage 2 Fossil trainers.
"These were £10, and these sell for about £260. They're really weird - they look like a really woven material. They look like they're all like knitted, but they're so cool.
"They are a small women's size - they are size 3, and they have a small mark there, but we're going to try and get that stain out. And, yeah, £10 into a possible £260."
He then went on to look at some comparison prices on eBay and discovered that they sell for up to £260 when resold in the UK. Sammy admitted he may get a bit less for not having the box but, none the less, he's still set to make quite a chunk of money from selling them.
Sammy confessed he was super happy with the "insane" find, and couldn't believe how lucky he got. When you look at how much the trainers are worth, it's easy to see why he was so thrilled.
According to online guidance, the trainers can sell for anything from between £293.00 to £1,618.00. They can sometimes be worth hundreds, especially if they're new or practically new.
One thrilled fashion fan replied: "Would buy them if they were my size." Another wrote: "Unreal find."
A third replied: "Insane find there mate." Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "They look pretty neat."
It looks like there may be a few different versions of the trainers available. Talking about one version, the Nike website states: "First released in 2003, the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 is as relevant today as it was back then.
"Its OG design gets a refresh with the Nike x Stüssy Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2. It features a look inspired by the tribe of relationships that unite to support a movement.
"A caged Zoom Air unit in the heel provides a responsive ride and a modern, technical look. The full-length foam midsole is lightweight and flexible, and durable rubber pods on the outsole provide traction where you need it."
Sometimes you can snap up absolute bargains at charity shops, and Sammy's latest find proves it. One person's junk appears to be another person's treasure.

‘I tried TikTok's viral lash growth serum-infused mascara in its new shade and I'm obsessed'
Shopping Writer Meghan just tried TikTok's favourite lash growth serum-infused mascara that promises fuller lashes with every wear - and she can't get over the results I've always been blessed with relatively long eyelashes, not too straight and not too dense, but that doesn't mean I haven't wanted to encourage them to grow to that covetable, false-looking length we all want. I've tried plenty of lengthening mascaras that do a great job of creating a longer look, but what if there were a mascara that not only makes lashes look longer but also actually makes them longer with every wear? TikTok went crazy for Glow For It's eyelash serum when it first released, and then beauty buffs were thrilled to try their eyelash serum-infused mascara when it originally dropped - but there was one slight fault. Suited to no-makeup makeup looks, the original Glow For It mascara only came in a natural brown shade. But they've now got a black mascara available, and needless to say, I was excited to take it for a spin. Answering fans' outcry for a black shade, Glow For It released their new colour of the internet sensation mascara. But they didn't stop at a new shade; this mascara promises a next-level formula that does even more for your lashes than its predecessor. Taking everything fans loved about the cult-favourite mascara, Glow For It upgraded the formula with tripeptides that work to ensure eyelashes appear longer, fuller and stronger, improving their strength and appearance with every use. This innovative formula combines black pigment with powerful lash care actives to condition, strengthen, and visibly enhance natural lashes, whether you've already got naturally luscious lashes that you want to look a bit better or whether you're trying to encourage new lash growth. I can't comment on the long-term effects of this mascara yet, though my experience using the iconic lash growth serum was noticeable after just a few weeks of using it regularly. That said, this Glow For It Lash Focus mascara has claimed pride of place in my makeup routine now, as it seamlessly walks the line between makeup and self-care. It has a visible impact on eyelashes upon application, even on lashes like mine that are already long and healthy. Without creating the dreaded spider-leg effect, this mascara clings to each lash for a volumised look that rivals false lashes. Boasting a simple, spiral wand for precise and efficient application, this mascara delivers longer, fuller-looking lashes from root to tip. Thanks to the new black pigment, this mascara provides instant definition and a stand-out finish that works perfectly for simple, everyday makeup or a full-glam beat. The only downside I've found, though it's a personal preference, is that it's not waterproof, so if you're prone to watery eyes, this mascara can begin to bleed and slip into your undereye area. That said, I did find it lasted all day, from early in the morning to late at night, without any visible change, such as smudging and flaking. However, the water-soluble formula does make the mascara super easy to take off with wipes and cleansers at the end of your day. You can pick up my new favourite mascara directly from Glow For It for £19.99. Or, if you want to try out other serum-infused mascaras, Clarins has this SOS Lashes Serum Mascara for £29.99, while UK Lash offers this Lash Growth Serum + Volume Boost Mascara Set for the slightly higher price point of £45.90. And it's not just me loving this new black Lash Focus Mascara, as plenty of 5-star reviews have already piled in. One satisfied customer shares: "quite easily my favourite mascara i've ever used (i've used so many). this product will keep your lashes looking like falsies. keeps my lashes curled all day. i am a carer and i enjoy feeling pretty, this mascara allows me to feel that. for the first time in my life, i feel naturally beautiful! the mascara, the lash serum, the brand, the employees - this brand is the epitome of perfection. i genuinely could not love a brand more. i will be forever thankful to the lovely daisy, and her team for what they've achieved and put out into the world! if i could recommend one brand for the rest of my life it would be glow for it!" Another buyer beams: "Very fussy with my mascaras and this is the best of the best! Lengthens and provides volume without looking clumpy, even better that it's packed with all the good stuff to help keeping my lashes growing longggg! Love love love, can't say it enough." And a third shares the same sentiment, writing: "So I already use the lash serum so my lashes are so long already. But after using this mascara it just enhanced them so much more. I love this mascara so much, it doesn't clump, it's easy to remove, doesn't weight down my lashes and makes them look much fuller and longer."

Brazen Oasis fan selling 'atmosphere and grass' from first Heaton Park gig for £7k
Fans wanting to own a little piece of Brit Pop music history may have to dig deep to own a near empty plastic soft drink bottle that has a connection to one of the Oasis tour nights Oasis fans have begun bidding to buy grass and the bottled "atmosphere" of their recent Heaton Park concerts in Manchester, with tatty items from the gigs attracting thousands of pounds of interest. This year, brothers Liam, 52, and Noel Gallagher, 58, thrilled fans as they kicked off their 41-date Oasis Live '25 Tour. The brothers, who famously fell out during their 2009 tour, buried the hatchet after vowing never to perform together again and are now enjoying rave reviews from music critics and fans as they play concerts in front of packed-out venues. Last year, when they tour was first announced, countless fans were left fuming as virtual queues for tickets spiraled out of control and ticket prices soared due to demand - with many spending a fortune to secure tickets to the concerts, and many more left bitterly disappointed as they waited for hours only for the tickets to be snapped up in front of them. Now, some Oasis fans are proving they have more money than sense as an empty soft drink bottle stuffed with grass allegedly from one of the recent Manchester gigs has been put online for auction - and attracted surprising sums from those desperate to own a little bit of Brit Pop history. Over recent days, Liam and Noel have enjoyed homecoming performances at Heaton Park - and will have played in front of more than 300,000 after gigs on July 11, 12, 16, 19 and 20. A cunning fan has taken to eBay to offer those who didn't attend the change to own a part of one of the gigs. The seller is selling a Pepsi bottle that is empty save for some blades of grass that have been stuffed into the plastic container. The offering also includes a green wristband, worn on the first of the five nights at Heaton Park. The sale description simply reads: "Atmosphere And Grass From Heaton Park Oasis Concert (11th July 2025, Homecoming)" - with the description described as "good" and a strict no refunds policy. Despite being arguably worthless, the items have thus far attracted six bids, pushing the price to more than £7,700. The most expensive tickets available for the Oasis gigs upon first sale were £506.25 packages that included access to a pre-show party, exhibition, and seated concert experience; however, resale tickets fetched thousands when sold online. Oasis: What's Their Story? An unofficial celebration magazine on sale now! A few simple words on social media on August 27 in 2024 were enough to spark pandemonium among Oasis fans and were the catalyst for the most eagerly awaited UK gigs of all time. This special unofficial magazine, available to order here, marks the reunion and honours the band both now and down the years with our incredible archive of photos and interviews - and with exclusive reviews and photographs of their first show! So far, the Oasis gigs have attracted positive reviews from fans and critics alike, with the Heaton Park gigs particularly attracting glowing reports. The Mirror's very own Daniel Bird attended the opening night at the Manchester venue, and described the evening as "electric". He wrote: "Walking out at Heaton Park, you could never have imagined that there was once a feud between the two siblings. Putting on a united front, the two legends walked out to their 2000 track, F***in' In The Bushes, to a crowd of 80,000 people, with the atmosphere instantly becoming electric." And Showbiz Editor Mark Jefferies also wrote positively of the Heaton Park gigs - admitting he was blown away by the performance. He recounted: "On Saturday night at the end of the show the brothers hugged and then Noel pointed over to his brother in a clear show of admiration and to tell the crowd just how much he loved Liam's performance. It was a shocking sight, the total opposite of their old rows on stage." Having managed to attend three of the first four gigs of the Oasis tour - which began on 4 July in Wales, Mark added: "Would I like more stage interaction? Of course. And some of the lines on stage are now pre-planned which doesn't feel very Oasis. But the Gallaghers have grown up, and like their mature fans who can only manage to jump up and down for the odd song in three these days, this style of set is what they need to make things work." Oasis will be on the road for most of the rest of the year as they thrill fans around the globe. After taking on the UK, the Gallagher brothers will jet to North America, Asia, Australia and more. The final night of their tour is scheduled for Sunday 23 November when they will play at the MorumBIS stadium in São Paulo, Brazil. viagogo and resale tickets Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.
