Beauty queen ‘headbutted' by celeb chef ex who rubbed shoulders with Beyonce and A-list fans at Michelin star restaurant

The French beauty alleged there was also emotional abuse which affected her even more severely 'ABUSE' SHOCK Beauty queen 'headbutted' by celeb chef ex who rubbed shoulders with Beyonce and A-list fans at Michelin star restaurant Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A FORMER Miss Europe beauty queen has claimed her celebrity chef ex-boyfriend headbutted her so hard it broke her nose. French model Alexandra Rosenfeld, 38, alleged that Jean Imbert - head chef at multiple glitzy restaurants in France - smashed her face while they were together in 2013. Imbert, 44, who shot to fame when he won the TV cooking competition Top Chef in 2012, denies the allegations. He heads up the Michelin-starred Plaza Athenée in Paris - where he has welcomed the likes of Beyonce and Jay-Z. The chef claims he was in fact the victim of Alexandra's violent behaviour. Alexandra won the Miss France competition in 2006, and was crowned Miss Europe later that year. She is one of four women who have told Elle magazine that Imbert showed allegedly controlling behaviour while they were in relationships with him. Their allegations add to a growing mound of claims that the French culinary industry is entrenched in sexism and violence. Alexandra first made the allegations under a false name and gave no identifying information. But this week, she posted a bombshell statement on Instagram along with the results of a scan reporting that her nose was broken. The medical notes said she had suffered a 'traumatism from a direct shock'. I thought my sister's doctor boyfriend was the 'perfect gentleman' but he abducted & killed her as she ran for her life Alexandra wrote: 'Over 10 years ago, I was with someone. He headbutted me once. But strangely, that wasn't what left a mark on me. 'The contempt, the belittling, the silences, the perfectly placed words to make me doubt myself, my worth. It was slow, insidious. "I thought the problem was me. I stayed. Because I loved him.' Alexandra said her relationship with Imbert because he left her for someone else. 6 The pair dated for around a year and a half from 2012-13 Credit: Getty 6 Jean Imbert is head chef at a number of prestigious restaurants, including a Michelin star establishment in Paris Credit: Getty But in January, he invited her and her family to the opening of La Forêt Secrète - a new restaurant at Disneyland Paris. She wrote: "I was surprised, touched," but added she suspects his intention was really to win her favour after learning of the Elle article. Alexandra continued: 'And then everything came back, this impression of being approached nicely in order to be placed in a hold.' Imbert's team has denied any allegations against him. They said the headbutt happened during a "moment of violence to which Jean Imbert was subjected when he was grabbed by the wrist and freed himself. "He profoundly regrets the consequences of this for her." The chef's publicists said the relationship had been "unsustainable, marked by insults and fits," and that Alexandra had sent insulting texts when it ended. They also denied the claims of jealousy and controlling behaviour made the other women in the Elle article.

Celebrity and former Michelin-star chef set to close central London ‘top 100 UK' restaurant in just DAYS after 3 years

A new Portuguese restaurant is taking over the site FINAL MOUTHFUL Celebrity and former Michelin-star chef set to close central London 'top 100 UK' restaurant in just DAYS after 3 years Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) TOP chef Nuno Mendes is stepping away from his beloved Portuguese restaurant Lisboeta - which closes its doors this weekend. The Michelin-star chef is moving on to focus on his Portuguese ventures and a new London project. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Nuno Mendes is closing his 'love letter to Lisbon' restaurant to start a new chapter Credit: Instagram Opened in 2022, Lisboeta was Mendes' 'love letter to Lisbon' and quickly earned a place in the UK's Top 100 Restaurants. Its final service will be held on Saturday, August 23. The restauranteur is handing over the reins to the Fitzrovia-based eatery to Portuguese chef and friend Leandro Carreira. Nuno wrote on social media: 'Dear Friends, after an incredible journey of almost four years, Lisboeta as we know it will be coming to an end this Fall. 'We've had an amazing ride and it's fantastic to see the love and support of our patrons from the day we opened our doors. 'I feel proud of the fact that we've helped to cement Portuguese food culture here in London and beyond. 'Our incredible teams, past and present, through their passion, dedication and hard work have made this possible. Our successes couldn't have been achieved without you. "Thank you to you all. Lisboeta is a deeply personal passion project to me and a brand that I would like to continue to grow and develop internationally. 'It's first steps will be into Lisbon but then we will go to other territories further away. 'I will continue to focus on my projects in Portugal, Cozinha das Flores and The Largo in Porto as well as Santa Joana in Lisbon. 'Both are going from strength to strength and we still have many goals to achieve." He continued: 'The site of Lisboeta will stay and my dear friend and colleague, Leandro Carreira will be launching an exciting new project with the team from MJMK. "It's called LUSO and I'm sure it will be a great addition to the London food scene. I'm excited to try it! 'LUSO will offer something new, rooted in our shared culture but seen through Leo's contemporary lens. I have no doubt it will be extraordinary. 'Last but not least, thank you to Marco, Jake and the whole team at MJMK for believing in Portuguese food and for coming along on this journey. I wish you lots of success in this and all of your ventures. 'Thank you friends and I hope to see you either in Portugal or in London someday soon.' Restaurant group MJMK, which owns the site, will transform the space into Luso, reopening in September after a refurbishment. MJMK co-founder Marco Mendes and Jake Kasumov said the decision was mutual and made 'on a high note' after more than four years working with the chef. 'We've been working with Nuno for well over four years and remain big fans. But in that time he's taken on other projects, so after three years of Lisboeta we all sat down and made a plan. "We thought it would be best to end on a high. He'll focus on his restaurants in Portugal, and we're relaunching with a new love letter to Portugal in Luso.' They added that the new restaurant will be more casual in tone and said: 'We've been working with Leandro to develop a straightforward, traditional Portuguese restaurant — one not so much about the chef, but the country. 'We're not trying to be cheffy. We want to focus on simple, slightly elevated Portuguese dishes made with simple ingredients. Pricing will be similar, maybe a little lower. "We want to be busy all the time, especially at lunch when people can come in for a beer and a sandwich.' 3 The high-profile eatery will be turned into a 'traditional' Portuguese restaurant Credit: Instagram

Sheridan Smith tears up after mum she plays in ITV drama makes heartfelt confession

Sheridan Smith tears up after mum she plays in ITV drama makes heartfelt confession BAFTA-winning actress Sheridan Smith was reduced to tears on This Morning with Ann Ming, the woman she plays in ITV's new drama I Fought The Law Sheridan Smith was overcome with emotion as the real-life mother she portrays in a forthcoming ITV drama made a touching behind-the-scenes revelation. ‌ The devastating true story of a mother's devotion, courage and determination to change the double jeopardy law is being brought to life in a new ITV drama series called I Fought The Law. ‌ The BAFTA-winning actress takes on the role of campaigner Ann Ming, whose daughter Julie was savagely murdered in 1989. The four-part series will chronicle Ann's journey to seek justice. ‌ William Dunlop strangled 22-year-old Julie Hogg and hid her body under a bath at her residence in Billingham, in 1989. Julie disappeared after finishing a late shift at a local pizza restaurant. Prior to the programme's broadcast, Sheridan and Ann featured on Thursday's (August 21) edition of This Morning with presenters Rylan Clark and Sian Welby, reports the Mirror. Sheridan became tearful as Ann disclosed: "She (Sheridan) doesn't know this but I came on set twice, and she didn't know I was there. And I watched her, playing me, in one of the difficult scenes - when we told Kevin truth. It was like watching me." The actress broke down in tears as Ann praised her: "I don't think they could have got another actress to do it as well. She takes on a role and becomes that person." ‌ Rylan handed Sheridan a tissue as the actress confessed: "I'm very honoured that you said that and that's all I wanted was for Ann to be proud of it." She went on to say: "I'm so grateful that Ann was happy I played her. I can only imagine what Ann went through because filming for me was only 10 weeks but I really got to know Ann and we've become very close." Ahead of the show, Sheridan and Ann appeared on Thursday's (August 21) episode of This Morning (Image: ITV) ‌ She further added: "Portraying it for that short time was an emotional rollercoaster, so I can only imagine how Ann has felt going through that 17-year battle, fighting the law and trying to get justice. She paved the way for so many families so I'm in awe of her. "Luckily I didn't know Ann was actually on set because I would have gone to pieces and I would have been too nervous to do it." Discussing her preparation for the role, she said: "I read Ann's book and I did a lot of research and we met up quite a few times. It was important for me to get the grief and everything Ann has been through. Article continues below "It's a complete honour to play her and that her story is going to be out there. It's an incredible story and I hope people tune in and watch it so they can see Ann's story." This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX
