This news came out on the same day when Farokh Dastoor, CEO of the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA), confirmed to IANS on Wednesday that they have issued an NOC to Jitesh, to join the Badora domestic team ahead of the 2025-26 season.
'Jitesh has enjoyed a close friendship with Krunal Pandya, his RCB teammate during the side's first IPL win in June. With him not having played Ranji Trophy last season and Pandya aiming to make a Baroda team which can win a domestic title in the upcoming season, it all came together for Jitesh to leave Vidarbha,' said sources aware of the development to IANS.
In the last domestic season, Jitesh captained Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) competition and played under Karun Nair 's leadership in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT). A move to Baroda means Jitesh will be able to play both white ball and red ball formats, where he's played only 18 first-class games since making his longer format debut in 2015/16.
For RCB in IPL 2025, Jitesh played key knocks as a finisher, including hitting an unbeaten 85 in a must-win against Lucknow Super Giants and helping RCB finish in the top two of the points table. He also served as RCB's captain when Rajat Patidar suffered a finger injury towards the back end of the ca/ompetition.

Fast bowler Anshul Kamboj added as cover for India's tour of England
Fast bowler Anshul Kamboj has been added to the Test squad for India's ongoing tour of England after Arshdeep Singh was ruled out for the fourth Test in Manchester because of a deep cut on his bowling hand. Kamboj, 24, was part of the India A side, which played two three-day games last month. He took five wickets in the two games. The fast bowler impressed everyone with his speed and tight line. He has taken 79 wickets in 24 first class games for Haryana. 'Arshdeep has a deep cut and has had stitches, he will take at least ten days to get completely fit. The selectors have decided to add Kamboj in the squad,' a BCCI source said. The 26-year old Arshdeep had suffered a cut on his bowling hand during a nets session on Thursday while stopping a ball hit by Sai Sudharsan on his follow-through. The hand was stitched up and it's now unlikely he will be fit to play in the fourth Test. The suspense still remains on Akash Deep's availability as he is struggling with a groin niggle. So we have to see how bad the cut is. On day 4 of the third Test at Lord's, in the 28th over of the England innings, Akash Deep left for the dressing room after feeling discomfort. With the team physio by his side, the pacer held his waist and grimaced.
