Not until Marks & Spencer's website was out of action for several weeks after a cyber attack did we realise how much we relied on it for purchases - whether that was stocking up on underwear, a school uniform order or buying a last minute accessory to match a special occasion dress.
Just as the M&S Food Hall is our go-to for picnic picky bits and delicious chocolate-y things mid-afternoon, so the retailer's website is a first stop on the quest for clothing. And it's not just socks we're after - even the You magazine fashion team have been won round by Marks & Spencer's style offering in recent seasons, with 'I can't believe that's M&S' a frequent refrain when it comes to the more designer-inspired pieces.
After a long time out of action, the 'new in' section of the website is now back up and running, which means we've had a chance to hunt for all those pieces we've been missing over the past few months. Here's what's on our wish lists this week...

Myleene Klass shares heartfelt tribute to her old school where she now works as a fire tears through the building - just days after she received her MBE

Myleene Klass has shared a tribute to her former school where she now works after it had to be evacuated on Friday when a fire ripped through the building. Emergency services with called to the Cliff Park Primary Academy in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk just after 1pm on Friday. The fire erupted whilst pupils celebrated the final day of the term before the summer holidays when they all had to be evacuated for their safety. Now, singer Myleene, 47, has revealed that the school in question was her own alma mater, where she now mentors students. Taking to her Instagram Stories, the TV presenter shared a snap of the blaze as thick black smoke billowed into the air. She wrote: 'This is my old state school that I now mentor at. 'To Cliff Park teachers and pupils, I'm glad that you are all safe. I'm told the teachers did a phenomenal job of getting you out. 'I'm sorry your last day of term looked like this, I'm relieved you're all ok. Sending my love.' In a follow-up message, Myleene shared a news article about the blaze, adding: 'Well done once again to my colleagues and teachers for getting the children out safely.' Norfolk Constabulary confirmed that all children were accounted for and safely evacuated from the building. In a statement, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service added: 'We sent crews from Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Acle and Carrow as well as the Control Unit from Wymondham and the Aerial Ladder Platform from Great Yarmouth,' it said. 'The fire is under control, no-one has been injured. 'We'd like to thank the school for performing a quick and full evacuation. 'Initial crews provided proactive firefighting techniques to quickly bring the fire under control and they are now dampening down the fire. 'The cause of the fire is currently unknown and an investigation has already started.' Meanwhile, police added: 'Police were called to Orde Avenue, Gorleston to assist the fire service at 1.20pm today, with a fire at a school. 'Kennedy Avenue and Bridge Road were closed whilst emergency services attended the scene. 'No one was injured.' It comes just days after Myleene was honoured with an MBE for her services to women's health, miscarriage awareness and charity at an investiture ceremony on Wednesday. Myleene then shared a clip on Instagram showing the highlights from the afterparty - although the number one star appeared to be her son Apollo, five, who supported her throughout the event. The star couldn't look prouder of her achievement, as she was captured partying it all up with pals, including the likes of Christine Lampard, Nicole and Natalie Appleton. A stunning two-tier cake was made with a crown on top, while royal-themed photo props were spread about the room as Myleene recorded herself having fun.

Love Island's Harrison arrives home in the UK after quitting the villa – but Lauren is nowhere to be seen

LOVE Island star Harrison Solomon has arrived back in the UK after sensationally quitting the villa this week. The controversial islander, 22, decided to leave the show after being involved in one of the most dramatic love triangles in the show's history. 10 10 10 10 10 In new exclusive photos, Harrison was spotted surrounded by his friends and family who greeted him at the airport today. But his love interest and axed Islander Lauren Wood was nowhere to be seen, despite vowing to wait for him. Harrison, 22, was seen embracing his loved ones as they celebrated his return after he walked from the villa on Thursday night. Despite the fan backlash, he flashed a big smile as he came face-to-face with his pals, who gave him a big hug. The footballer was seen pushing his Love Island suitcase through arrivals, before sitting on it. He wore a white striped shirt and a pair of black shorts with a black trainers for the flight home. The reality star then exited the airport with his mobile phone in his hand after it was returned to him by producers after his exit. A far cry from the sunshine in Mallorca, Harrison was seen bracing the rain on Saturday as he headed to the car park. Although Lauren, who lives in York, was not there to greet Harrison, it is likely that she was arriving at another airport, given the pair live in different parts of the UK. The Derby lad had been flip-flopping between Toni Laites and Lauren for days - leaving both of them in tears along the way. Lauren was booted out of the villa after new bombshell Angel picked Ty to couple up with. The brunette begged Harrison to come with her but he insisted he wanted to sleep on it and decide the next day. Lauren broke down in tears but said she would wait for him on the outside and insisted: "I only want you." On last night's episode, Harrison decided to leave and to continue his relationship with Lauren on the outside. A source said: "It's been a momentous few days for Harrison and ultimately he has decided to quit. "Everyone was so shocked and people were crying and hugging him. "He worked through everything with the ITV duty of care team and is making his way home to his family now." Harrison announced his decision to the villa, leaving his close pals in tears. He then pulled Toni for a final chat where he tearfully apologised for stringing her along for weeks. Harrison admitted: "We just weren't right for each other." Toni burst into tears and said she was sad not because he was leaving but because she wasted so much time on him. The day before, Harrison got emotional after seeing the devastation he was causing. Controversially, he made a plea to Toni ahead of the latest recoupling to pick him, despite having had sex with Lauren the night before. Toni's decision to choose him blindsided their exes Cach Mercer and Lauren, with both left sobbing after being embarrassed in front of their friends. Earlier that day, she'd told Lauren she was done with Harrison. Sitting by the fire pit, she said: 'He's all yours, girlfriend. "I'm removing myself from this." But the next day, he complimented Lauren's looks when he saw her wearing a red bikini and refused to close the door completely. She was even caught helping him floss his teeth, which proved to be the final straw for Toni, who accused him of constantly "making her look stupid". He then admitted that he "missed" Lauren and wanted to give things another go with her. 10 10 10 10

Ex-Peppa Pig boss ‘loses £300,000 after he was sacked for brandishing a pen at his boss' in five-year court battle

AN EX-Peppa Pig exec has lost £300,000 after being sacked for threatening his boss with pen. Mark Dowding, who earned up to £160,000 a year at toy giant The Character Group PLC, was given the boot and left with a hefty bill after a five-year court battle. The former chief financial officer, who may be forced to sell his home and pension, was dismissed in 2017 after a breakdown in trust, following a heated row with his boss where he allegedly pointed a pen in a threatening way. He took the company, makers of Peppa Pig plushies and Doctor Who toys, to an employment tribunal, claiming he was unfairly dismissed and that the pen incident was fabricated. But in 2020 Employment Judge Omar Khalil said: "The tribunal concludes that the incident as described by [Mr Dowding's boss] did occur, which included the claimant pointing towards him brandishing a pen in a threatening manner." Despite the ruling, the former Peppa Pig exec launched several appeals. LEGAL BATTLE Despite the ruling, Dowding launched several appeals and a High Court claim, running up eye-watering legal costs. One remaining claim is still live- but he's now been told it will be struck out unless he coughs up the £288,000 he owes from his failed legal bids. High Court judge Richard Spearman KC said the financial blow puts Dowding at risk of losing his £850,000 home and his pension, his only regular income. The judge quoted Greek tragedy writer Sophocles, saying: "It is a painful thing to look at your own trouble and know that you yourself and no one else has made it'. He added: "That, in my view, is the predicament in which the claimant Mr Dowding now finds himself." THE PEN INCIDENT Mr Dowding joined The Character Group in 2012 and was earning £110,000 plus a potential 50 per cent bonus by the time of his dismissal. The 2017 incident unfolded during a heated meeting with his boss, Mr Shah. Judge Khalil said: "Their discussion became heated and voices were raised. "The claimant accepted in evidence he raised his voice first. "Mr Shah also alleged that the claimant had pointed a pen towards him, causing Mr Shah to retreat. "This was set out in his email, which followed this altercation on the same day. "In that email, Mr Shah said: 'You raised your voice towards me in a threatening manner and pointed a pen in my face whilst rolling forward towards me with your chair. I had to roll my chair back to prevent injury to my face'.' THE FIGHT GOES ON After losing at tribunal, Dowding refused to back down, instead filing a flurry of appeals and launching a High Court claim. In December 2023, an order was made securing his legal costs against the equity in his Rotherhithe Street home in south London. Judge Spearman said: "Essentially as a result of the way in which he chose to plead his case and to contest the efforts of TCG to restrict that case to what is properly arguable, a number of substantial orders for costs were made against Mr Dowding in July 2024. "Mr Dowding sought, but was refused, permission to appeal against those orders to the Court of Appeal. "According to the disclosure Mr Dowding has provided, his only source of income is his personal pension, and his only substantial assets are his personal pension fund and the equity in his home. "He now faces losing that fund, and maybe also his home, to meet those costs orders. "He is in a very unhappy position because, on the disclosure he has made, he can ill-afford to meet these costs liabilities: either his home may be forfeit or his pension may be forfeit - possibly, if things go on the way they have, both. "That is a consequence of bringing and pursuing expensive litigation which has all been unsuccessful, resulting in the costs orders." 5
