Faisal Vawda calls for national unity, PTI inclusion in NAP talks amid rising India tensions
In a statement addressing the recent deterioration in bilateral relations, Vawda emphasised that Pakistan must present a united front.
'Pakistan comes first—everything else follows. We are united,' he said, urging the government to convene an all-parties hearing on NAP, including representation from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), to demonstrate internal consensus and solidarity with the armed forces.
He stressed that a unified political stance would send a clear message to the international community that Pakistan is firm in its resolve and will not be influenced by external provocations or misinformation.
Vawda's remarks come in the wake of India's decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty following a deadly attack in Pahalgam, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), which claimed the lives of 26 civilians. While Pakistan has denied any involvement, the incident has heightened diplomatic strains.
Pakistan said on Wednesday that it was concerned about the loss of tourists' lives in an attack in Anantnag district of the IIOJK.

LAHORE: Chief Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has said that the large-scale loss of human lives and the destruction of vast areas of property in Northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a trial from Allah. In this testing time, both the federal and provincial governments must set politics aside and provide immediate assistance to the displaced and affected people, he said. Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman expressed these views while addressing the public and the media during his visit to the flood-hit areas of Buner and Bajaur. On this occasion, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, former senior provincial minister and Jamaat-e-Islami Northern KP chief Inayatullah Khan, along with other provincial and district leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and Alkhidmat Foundation, were also present. He said, 'We have never supported military operations, nor will we in the future. Much has already been destroyed in the name of American friendship, and we cannot afford any further devastation.' Hafiz Naeemur Rehman visited the flood-affected areas of Beshoni and Bhattai Pir Baba in district Buner, offered condolences at the homes and guesthouses of martyrs, addressed condolence gatherings, and reviewed the destruction caused by the floods. He said that there is an urgent need to heal the wounds of the severely affected people in Buner and other flood-hit areas and to focus on joint efforts to overcome this painful situation. He added that Jamaat-e-Islami and Alkhidmat Foundation, immediately after this great tragedy, contacted both federal and provincial governments, assured them of unconditional cooperation, and launched relief activities in the affected regions. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that we do not support any military operation or terrorism; such situations arise because of government policies, and the rulers must reflect on their policies. He said that in the name of friendship with the United States, we have already lost a great deal, and if this continues, it will bring further destruction. He said that at present, the people of Buner, Bajaur, Swat, Shangla, Lower Dir, Mansehra, Battagram, and other affected areas are going through extreme distress, and this is not a time for political point-scoring. That is why, immediately after the floods, he contacted Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif to assure them of full cooperation on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami and Alkhidmat Foundation in this national tragedy. Joint efforts should be made for the relief and rehabilitation of the flood victims so that the crisis can be dealt with more effectively. He said that thousands of Jamaat-e-Islami workers have joined Alkhidmat as volunteers and are standing alongside the flood victims in this difficult hour. Alkhidmat's relief network is extensive not only within the country but also abroad; billions of rupees in aid and food have already been sent to Gaza, and this effort is still ongoing. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that, in order to prevent loss of life during floods, the World Bank had offered in 2017 to provide an early warning system to the government, but no government made any progress on it. He demanded from the federal and provincial governments that relief operations and the process of rehabilitation and reconstruction in flood-affected areas be accelerated, and that electricity, internet service, and communication systems in these areas be restored immediately. Probe into all national tragedies: PTI reiterates its demand for an ‘empowered' JC
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has reiterated its demand for an empowered judicial commission to probe all national tragedies since the country's inception, including the May 9 incidents and the November 26 bloodbath, so as to bring the culprits to justice. PTI Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram, in a strongly worded statement, on Sunday, stated that the matter of a so-called 'sincere apology' was part of a private discussion with a journalist, reiterating that the party and its leadership have consistently demanded an impartial probe into the matter to bring the actual orchestrators and beneficiaries of the false flag operation to justice. Waqas stated that the matter was deliberately brushed under the carpet, while PTI leaders and workers have been unjustly thrown into jails for the past two years. He said that the so-called issue of apology was being deliberately recycled in the media to distract the nation from the grave crises it faces today and to protect those who looted Pakistan's wealth, trampled the Constitution, and brought the country to its knees. Waqas asserted that the country's current crises stem from decades of unchecked power abuses, political manipulation, and institutional overreach. He emphasized that sycophants and enablers who glorified unconstitutional acts were equally responsible for Pakistan's downfall. 'PTI demanded for an empowered judicial commission, comprising judges of unquestionable integrity, to probe all national tragedies — from the Fall of Dhaka to the May 9 incidents, the February 8 daylight poll robbery, the November 26 bloodbath, desecration of the four walls and Parliament House, humiliation of women, and the unlawful detention of political workers and leaders in fabricated, concocted, and politically motivated cases driven by vendetta,' he said. He stressed that every individual guilty of these grave crimes against the nation must be brought to justice without exception, regardless of rank, office, or influence. He stated that the unlawfully incarcerated PTI Patron-in-chief was the only leader with a vision, unimpeachable integrity and a clear road-map to rescue Pakistan from the abyss created by decades of corruption, constitutional violations and misrule. He categorically stated that PTI founder was the sole hope for Pakistan's salvation, capable of liberating the nation from the clutches of a corrupt, self-serving mafia gripped by Imran-phobia, terrified that his release would render them politically orphaned. Therefore, Waqas stated that the nation demanded the earliest release of Imran Khan from the unlawful incarceration so as to pull the country out of the current crises. He emphasized that PTI believes in meaningful political dialogue and a negotiated settlement of national issues, and is even ready for a new social contract. However, he made it clear that this is only possible if the supremacy of the Constitution is unconditionally acknowledged, judicial independence genuinely respected, and the rule of law strictly upheld. He warned that Pakistan cannot progress unless all state institutions are compelled to operate strictly within their constitutionally defined limits, instead of overstepping their mandate — a vision clearly laid down by the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The PTI Central Information Secretary (CIS) stated that PTI had shown magnanimity and sought forgiveness from the nation over the extension issue. He demanded that other political parties and power-wielders should also muster the courage to seek a public apology for their grave blunders of the past, which pushed the country to the brink of collapse. He stated that the nation had been deceived for decades with hollow slogans and flowery promises of economic revival by unelected regimes, but each time they only brought disasters. He pointed out that massive corruption scandals, including the wheat and sugar crises, went unpunished, while the country's reserves were artificially propped up through temporary loans from friendly nations instead of genuine economic growth. He lamented that Balochistan had been turned into a no-go area, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been plunged into lawlessness, and Punjab and Sindh were left at the mercy of powerful kacha gangs who now rule the roost with impunity. PTI CIS warned that Pakistan would remain trapped in a vicious cycle unless it breaks free from the culture of unnecessary extensions, favouritism, and sidelining of competent officers, as such practices breed unrest, stifle leadership growth, and send a damaging message that the country lacks capable individuals to run its affairs. He said the path to political stability and national unity lies not in forcing Khan into submission, but in holding accountable those who have suffocated democracy, undermined institutions and trampled on people's mandate. Japanese aggression: 80th anniversary of victory of Chinese people's resistance marked
LAHORE: Chinese Consulate Acting Consul General Lahore Cao Ke has said that China and Pakistan, as all-weather strategic cooperative partners, key members of the Global South and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, are glued together to safeguard the international system with the United Nations at its core, safeguard the international order based on international law, and jointly defend our sovereignty and territorial integrity. Such heart-warming statement came up when Pakistan had recently celebrated blissful joy of Marka-e-Haq showing its military and diplomatic mettle inflicting defeat to India in the month of May. Acting Chinese Consul General Cao Ke was addressing a seminar titled 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's war of resistance against Japanese aggression, the world anti-fascist war, and the restoration of Taiwan held at local hotel here on Sunday. The seminar was organised by Institute of International Relations and Media Research. According to the press release issued by IIRMR Cao Ke said that Chinese people fought valiantly against Japanese militarism in World War II, sacrificing more than 35 million civilians and military personnel to fracture the Axis strategy, causing 70 percent of Japan's total WW II casualties. 'China's resistance, the first to ignite and last to extinguish, fundamentally reshaped WW II's trajectory,' he added. The Chinese people, he mentioned, won the great victory of this devastating war and restored Taiwan from the illegal occupation of Japan, declaring the complete victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. 'The restoration of Taiwan, which is a landmark triumph of World War II and constitutes an integral part of the post-war international order. Taiwan's status as part of Chinese territory has never changed and will never be allowed to change. The Communist Party of China played a pivotal role in the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. President Xi Jinping pointed out that, the CPC fought bravely on the front lines of this War, sustaining the Chinese nation's hope of survival and becoming the mainstay of the entire nation's struggle,' he remarked. While addressing a seminar former foreign secretary Shamshad Ahmed Khan said that contributions and sacrifices of China, one of the world's major powers, in World War II were far greater than those of countries that exploited the war's outcomes and used them to serve their own interests, mostly Western allies. 'Pakistan-China friendship is not based on transient interests or expediencies rather it is above personalities or any change in domestic or international situation. The CPEC, flagship project of BRI, which on completion will bring overarching socio-economic connectivity. 'At this juncture what we need to understand that we could master our common destiny only if we face it together,' he added. Speaking at seminar, Air Vice Chief Sajid Habib (retd) said that at the time China under the leadership of its great leader had been fighting against Japanese fascism in word war II, Muslims of subcontinent under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam had been struggling for the creation of Pakistan. 'City of Lahore has a pride that it played a role in the independence of China as Walton airport used to be place to train Chinese pilots that served in Chinese War of resistance against Japan,' he added. 'The relation with China established its roots even before the liberation and later such bond went cemented in all sphere of life including on the level of defence cooperation. We (Pakistan and China) need to deepen their time-tested collaboration and ties to shine together on global landscape,' he prayed. Vice Admiral N A Rizvi (retd) said that China enjoys a rich history like other few civilizations. 'Chinese nation has amply proved their resilience and perseverance at different juncture of history. The Sino-Japan has witnessed massive Japanese atrocity against China. In Particular the Japanese atrocity in Nanjing are unspeakable. But China showed its ability to bear with patience and then responded perfectly.
