Megan Thee Stallion Addressed Klay Thompson Relationship
In case you missed it, the rap and sports fandoms were united last week when Meg debuted her relationship with NBA star Klay Thompson.
In a sneaky move, she soft-launched the romance on July 9 by posting a cute bikini photo on Instagram, where the Dallas Mavericks' star could be seen relaxing on a sun lounger in the background. It didn't take long for eagle-eyed fans to notice him, and a few days later, Klay confirmed the relationship by including a couple of sweet pics of Meg in his vacation Instagram dump.
And now, less than a week after Meg first teased the romance, the pair have taken their relationship to the next level with their official red carpet debut at the rapper's Inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala, which took place in NYC last night.
Meg stunned on the red carpet in a sleek black gown, and Klay matched her vibe in a black tux. The couple posed for tons of pictures together, and online, fans can't help but observe how smitten they appear — and how good they look together, obvs.
We don't actually know how long these two have been dating away from the public eye. However, while discussing the relationship for the very first time at the Gala, Meg teased their 'meet cute' during an interview with People, saying that their first meeting 'was like a fucking movie.'
'I won't tell you how and I won't tell you when,' she said, somewhat cryptically, 'but it was a movie...he's the nicest person I've ever met in my life.'
Adorably, in another red carpet interview with Page Six, Megan said she's never dated anybody as 'kind' as Klay, saying: 'This is my first relationship where I've ever been with somebody who's genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy.'
From 2020 to 2023, Meg was dating fellow rapper Pardison 'Pardi' Fontaine. Since their split, she's been linked with soccer player Romelu Lukaku and Chicago Bulls player Torrey Craig, the latter of whom was accused of cheating on her.
'I just never dated somebody like him before, and I'm just grateful that he's here by my side and he feels the same way about me,' she said of Klay.
If you follow Meg, you'll know that she's definitely not had it easy over the past few years, so it's amazing to see her this happy! It's officially a Hot Girlfriend Summer.

Knicks Star Speaks Out With Strong Paul Skenes Trade Demand
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. It's not very often that NBA players make their thoughts on baseball known. For New York Knicks star Josh Hart, that was exactly what happened recently. Hart, who has become a key player for the Knicks over the last couple of years, recently took to social media to share his thoughts on Pittsburgh Pirates superstar pitcher Paul Skenes. Skenes, who has become one of the most popular players in baseball, has been elite once again this season. However, his team has not done much winning. Regardless of his elite performances, he simply can't seem to pick up wins. Skenes had recorded a 1.20 ERA in July, but hadn't picked up a win in a game since May. That did not sit well with Hart. He posted and made it clear that he would like to see Skenes get traded by the Pirates. "For the love of God," Hart wrote. "This is make the MLB force a trade." Obviously, his post comes just ahead of the MLB trade deadline on July 31. Skenes is extremely unlikely to be moved, but Hart would like to see it. Speaking of Hart and his basketball team, New York is coming off of a tough loss in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Indiana Pacers. NBA insider reveals Knicks' surprising interest level in LeBron James
The New York Knicks have been one of the most intriguing teams this offseason, but they might not be willing to make any more big splashes. Over the past few weeks, the Knicks have been in headlines repeatedly. From Tom Thibodeau's firing to a lengthy coaching search that ended with Mike Brown to some key free agency signings, the Knicks have been focused on becoming a championship-caliber team. After coming up two games short of the NBA Finals, the Knicks' core was clearly good enough to be among the best in the East. Considering injuries to some of the other top contenders, the Knicks should be among the favorites to make it to the Finals. However, many have speculated that the Knicks could be in the market to trade for LeBron James. Although he is on the last leg of his career, James is still an elite player and could be the missing piece for a title contender, with the Knicks being one of the only teams that could easily trade for him without fully gutting their core or depth. However, Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix recently shot down that thought. Mannix said recently on Open Floor that he doesn't believe the Knicks have any interest in James and are comfortable with the moves they've already made. That makes perfect sense, considering the Knicks' major shakeup was changing coaches. With a roster clearly capable of making some noise in the Eastern Conference and now a full year of playing together under their belts, 2026 could be a special year in New York, even if James is still on the opposite coast.
