U.S.-Assembled 45.36 kWh High-Voltage Packs from Nevada Facility to Promote Accelerated OEM and Consumer Growth Through E-Motion™ Platform
MONTREAL, QC / ACCESS Newswire / June 11, 2025 / Vision Marine Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:VMAR) ("Vision Marine" or the "Company"), a pioneer in high-voltage electric marine propulsion systems, today announced a major milestone in its U.S. scale-up strategy: the expansion of its longstanding partnership with Octillion Power Systems, a top-tier U.S.-based lithium-ion battery manufacturer, to produce Vision-branded high-voltage battery packs dedicated exclusively to the American market.
Under the terms of the agreement, Octillion will assemble Vision Marine's new proprietary 45.36 kWh battery packs at its state-of-the-art facility in Nevada, aiding in fast, cost-efficient distribution across North America. These batteries are designed to support both Vision Marine's OEM integrations and consumer-facing electric boat offerings, delivering increased power, extended range, and improved performance-while reducing total system cost and simplifying logistics.
This renewed and enhanced partnership establishes a partial U.S. supply chain for Vision Marine's proprietary E-Motion™ 180E electric outboard system, unlocking key efficiencies. In addition to supporting factory integration with third-party manufacturers, the partnership provides a reliable and consistent battery supply for Vision Marine's direct-to-consumer electric boat sales, including those produced under formal production agreements with multiple established boat manufacturers. These vessels are sold through Vision Marine's channels while retaining the original manufacturer's branding, enabling broad market reach without altering brand identity.
"Octillion has been an integral technology partner to Vision Marine for several years, powering our most high-performance programs-including multiple electric world speed record boats," said Alexandre Mongeon, CEO of Vision Marine Technologies. "With this expanded partnership and the support of Octillion's Nevada facility, we are positioned to scale commercial deliveries and prepare for our next record-setting performance with more power and higher efficiency."
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in California, Octillion Power Systems is a global leader in lithium-ion battery technology, with over 2 million battery systems deployed across electric vehicles, industrial equipment, and energy storage sectors. Octillion brings deep technical expertise and proven large-scale manufacturing capabilities-essential components to Vision Marine's growth roadmap.
"Having collaborated with Vision Marine since 2021 on the development of this American-built, marine-dedicated battery platform has been both technically rewarding and strategically significant," said Paul Beach, President of Octillion Power Systems. "We are proud to manufacture these 45.36 kWh packs at our Nevada facility and to work in close alignment with Vision Marine's team as they scale delivery and continue to push the boundaries of electric propulsion on water."
In addition to supporting near-term production, Octillion's close proximity and embedded technical collaboration introduce a new phase in Vision Marine's development strategy. By aligning with a team that has delivered over 2 million battery systems globally, Vision Marine is now embracing a more agile, partner-integrated model of innovation, leveraging Octillion's energy systems expertise to guide refinements and influence the evolution of future battery architectures.
The battery systems being manufactured by Octillion are integrated with Vision Marine's patent-pending proprietary high-voltage marine propulsion powertrain -the first battery pack purpose-built for electric marine propulsion. Engineered to meet the demanding conditions of marine use, these packs deliver enhanced energy density, ruggedness, and integration simplicity-promoting optimal performance across a wide range of recreational and commercial applications.
The packs will be available exclusively with the E-Motion™ 180E outboard and offered as part of a fully integrated, plug-and-play powertrain solution. Designed for rapid OEM adoption and simplified factory installation, this system addresses long-standing industry barriers to electric adoption-namely cost, complexity, and limited performance.
By leveraging Octillion's Nevada-based production infrastructure and forward-leaning technical engagement, Vision Marine becomes the first company in North America offering a fully industrialized, high-voltage electric marine outboard system with a U.S.-sourced battery solution -positioning the Company to meet growing demand for electrified boating while supporting regulatory and content compliance initiatives.
With domestic battery sourcing secured, enhanced pack performance, and ongoing collaboration with Octillion's technical team, Vision Marine enters the second half of 2025 with the foundation to scale its go-to-market operations and accelerate its innovation agenda. As the Company advances, it remains committed to shaping the future of marine electrification by embracing cross-functional partnerships and leading-edge development models to bring next-generation technologies to the water.

Nvidia's AI Expansion Could Push Revenue To $300 Billion By 2026, Analyst Says

Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) is set to beat Wall Street's expectations once again, driven by surging demand for AI and its new Blackwell architecture. With a strong revenue forecast of $48 billion for the second quarter and expectations for continued growth through 2026, the company's Data Center segment remains the primary growth engine, positioning Nvidia for sustained leadership in AI infrastructure. Cantor Fitzgerald analyst C.J. Muse has upped his price forecast for Nvidia to $240, citing the company's Blackwell-driven Data Center expansion and the rapid acceleration of AI maintains his Overweight rating on the stock, noting that Nvidia's revenue is likely to surpass consensus estimates through 2026. Muse pointed to surging demand for artificial intelligence computing and the company's new Blackwell architecture ramp. The analyst expects Nvidia to deliver a strong beat again and raise when it reports fiscal second-quarter results on August 27. He projects revenue of $48 billion and EPS of $1.06, compared with consensus expectations of $45.8 billion and $1.00 per share. Data Center sales remain the core driver, with Muse forecasting $42.9 billion from that segment alone. Looking ahead to the October quarter, he estimates $55 billion in revenue and $1.25 in EPS, again ahead of consensus at $52.6 billion and $1.18, with Data Center contributing about $49.9 billion. For the long term, Muse models Nvidia's Data Center revenue at $200 billion in calendar 2025 and $300 billion in calendar 2026, well above current Street forecasts of $181 billion and $235 billion, respectively. He projects earnings power of $4.85 per share in calendar 2025 and $8.00 in calendar 2026, compared with consensus at $4.37 and $5.89. He highlighted accelerating hyperscaler capital expenditures, expected to grow 57% in calendar 2025 and another 20% in calendar 2026, a $1.5 trillion global sovereign AI investment pipeline, and increasing enterprise adoption as the key drivers of this expansion. Muse acknowledged ongoing headwinds in China due to H20 export restrictions and tariffs, but argued that most sell-side models already exclude that revenue. Any unexpected shipments to the region could therefore provide upside to current estimates. He also noted that Nvidia's gross margins should reach the mid-70% range by late calendar 2025, supported by the mix shift to Blackwell products and ongoing efficiency gains. The analyst underscored that Nvidia's roadmap beyond Blackwell, including its Rubin platform, further strengthens visibility into calendar 2026 and positions the company for sustained leadership in AI infrastructure. Senate Democrats urge Trump to walk back Nvidia, AMD deal

Several top Senate Democrats are urging President Trump to walk back a deal with Nvidia and AMD that would allow the companies to sell artificial intelligence (AI) chips to China after they agreed to share 15 percent of revenue from sales. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Sens. Mark Warner (D-Va.), Jack Reed (D-R.I.), Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), Chris Coons (D-Del.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) argued in a letter sent Friday that the move runs counter to U.S. national security interests and could violate the law. Warner is the vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, while Reed, Shaheen and Warren are the top Democrats on the Senate Armed Services, Foreign Relations and Banking panels, respectively. 'This 'negotiated deal,' allowing American semiconductor manufacturers to pay a 15 percent fee for the ability to sell critically sensitive technology to our adversary, blatantly violates the purpose of export control laws,' they wrote. Nvidia and AMD have each agreed to share 15 percent of revenue from the sales of their H20 and MI308 chips in order to secure export licenses from the Trump administration, which had imposed new licensing restrictions effectively blocking sales earlier this year. The deal has raised legal questions, as federal law prohibits fees on export licenses, while the Constitution bars export taxes. However, it's unclear whether the agreement would be considered a formal fee or tax and whether anyone would challenge the move. It has also provoked national security concerns, as the U.S. seeks to outpace China on AI and prevent Beijing from using the technology to boost its military capabilities. 'Our national security and military readiness relies upon American innovators inventing and producing the best technology in the world, and in maintaining that qualitative advantage in sensitive domains,' the senators said. 'The United States has historically been successful in maintaining and building that advantage because of, in part, our ability to deny adversaries access to those technologies.' 'The willingness displayed in this arrangement to 'negotiate' away America's competitive edge that is key to our national security in exchange for what is, in effect, a commission on a sale of AI-enabling technology to our main global competitor, is cause for serious alarm,' they added. The Democratic lawmakers pressed Trump for information about who participated in the negotiations, what legal standards were applied, how the 15 percent will be determined and collected, what the funds will be used for and what other companies are under consideration for such a deal. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt suggested last week that the administration could pursue similar agreements in the future, even as the legality and mechanics of the Nvidia and AMD deal are 'still being ironed out' by the Commerce Department. 'Right now, it stands with these two companies. Perhaps it could expand in the future to other companies,' she said. 'I think it's a creative idea and solution.'
