During an interview Thursday, the couple was hanging out in Los Angeles, while their realtor was showing the five-bedroom, five-bathroom property which includes a guest house.

Increasingly spending time in Milan and Genoa, they are keen to start making more trips to New York, where they were once enmeshed in the fashion industry. 'We really enjoy New York and we haven't been spending any time there. We used to be bicoastal so we miss that,' Trafficante said. 'Richard has always said, since I met him, that he only lives in a house for five years. That had been true with the Gramercy Park house we had, and the Dolores del Río one [in Hollywood] and our place on Washington Street [in New York.] But this one we have had for 27 years. That tells you a lot about this house.'
Built in 1910 by Reginald Davis Johnson and listed as a Cultural Heritage Landmark, 'Villa Arno' includes a swimming pool and expansive gardens that Tyler has tended to. The one-acre property is listed for $12 million.
Eager to spend more time in Italy especially and 'to be more out in the world,' the couple hopes to buy a place in New York to reduce the travel time for European excursions. Tyler and his wife have spoken with potential partners in Milan about developing a women's line. 'That could be fun. Then maybe I can be on the cover of Women's Wear Daily again,' he said with a laugh. 'The most exciting and nerve-wracking time in my life was when we did our first fashion show at the New York Public Library. We thought it was a success, but you never know. For my whole life, all I was interested in was to be on the cover of Women's Wear Daily. I think our show was on a Thursday, and Friday I rushed to the newsstand, but nothing. I went again Monday and nothing. And then finally on Tuesday, there it was.'
While prime on the fashion scene in the 1980s and 1990s, Tyler suited up such celebrities as Cher, Elton John, Diana Ross and Rod Stewart. Born in Australia, Tyler learned how to sew from his mother. Unlike most designers, he started out in menswear in the mid-1980s before introducing womenswear in 1989. Anne Klein & Co. tapped him in the early 1990s, but his L.A.-inspired edgy style turned out to be not in line with the middle-of-the-road label. Tyler won three awards from the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and he designed uniforms for Delta Airlines at one point in his career.
Villa Arno has attracted a few film crews over the years including the production team behind 'Palm Royale' with actresses Kristen Wiig, Naomi Watts and Laura Dern. That led to an unexpected reunion with Dern, whom Tyler had dressed for key appearances in the past. Trafficante said, 'People come in to do a movie shoot, and say, 'Oh my god, it's Richard Tyler. You're my favorite designer. I wish I could get your clothes again.' We hear that especially now, when a style has returned that is befitting for Richard.'
Although there was a time when jackets, coats, suits and faux furs were out, that's no longer the case. Their son Edward also designs fashion, and he has incorporated that into his work in music and film. During one of Richard Tyler's fashion shows years ago, the model Naomi Campbell took the then three-month-old Edward out of Trafficante's arms and carried him down the runway. The couple hopes to include their son, 'who grew up in the industry,' in their fashion return. And their 29-year-old offspring is all-in with letting go of the South Pasadena manse. 'It's funny I said to him, 'I'm sorry that we're going to sell it.' He said, 'I don't have that feeling at all. I'm just lucky to have lived in all of these beautiful places. I don't have any feelings that we have to hang onto them.'' Trafficante said. 'He's good support for us.'

How Soon Will ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' Begin Streaming?
Greg Tarzan Davis, Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and Hayley Atwell in "Mission Impossible: The Final ... More Reckoning." Since Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning was released in theaters nearly two months ago, how soon will it be available on digital streaming? Starring Cruise as Impossible Mission Force Agent Ethan Hunt for the eighth and possibly final time, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning opened in theaters on May 23. The film picks up after the events of 2023's Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, where Ethan and his fellow IMF agents including Grace (Hayley Atwell), Benji (Simon Pegg), Luther (Ving Rhames) and new allies Paris (Pom Klementieff) and Degas (Greg Tarzan Davis) attempt to thwart the self-aware AI program The Entity from taking over the world's nuclear stockpile. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning also stars Esai Morales, the main villain who is trying to gain possession of The Entity and Angela Bassett as U.S. President Erika Sloane. Generally, the Mission: Impossible franchise's studio, Paramount Pictures, releases its films on digital streaming via premium video on demand about a month after they open in theaters, no matter the size of the release. For example, Ridley Scott's big-budget spectacle Gladiator II was released in theaters on Nov. 22, 2024, and arrived on PVOD just over a month later, on Dec. 24. After that, the studio's live-action and animated hybrid Sonic the Hedgehog 3 opened in theaters on Dec. 20, 2024, and arrived on PVOD on Jan. 21. In the lower-budgeted realm, Paramount released Jack Quaid's action comedy Novocaine in theaters on March 14 and it debuted on PVOD about three and a half weeks later, on April 8. Since Cruise is without question one of the industry's biggest proponents of the theatrical experience (which he speaks about in a May interview with BFI), it shouldn't come as a big surprise that he wants moviegoers to see Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning on the big screen without any quick home entertainment options. However, since the film's theater count is down to 705 venues this weekend (it debuted in 3,857 theaters on May 23) and looks to be dropping out of the domestic top 10 this weekend (on Friday it earned $230,000 for a No. 11 finish, per The Numbers), a transition to PVOD would seem to be imminent. However, the pattern for Cruise's last M:I film suggests otherwise. Released in theaters on July 12, 2023, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, Part 1 —the film was later rebranded and dropped the Part 1 from the tite — it took nearly three months for the film to arrive on PVOD on Oct. 10. If Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning were to follow the same release pattern of its predecessor, that would put the digital release's debut sometime between Aug. 19 and Aug. 26, since new films generally arrive on PVOD on Tuesdays. When to Stream, however, believes that Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning will arrive a bit quicker on PVOD. In the site's latest Streaming Tracking Report, When to Stream — which is typically accurate with its PVOD reporting — is estimating an early to mid-August digital release for the film. How Was Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Received By Audiences And Critics? Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning to date has earned nearly $195.2 million domestically and $389.7 million internationally for a worldwide box office tally of $584.9 million. The film had a production budget of $400 million before prints and advertising, according to The Numbers. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning had an 80% 'fresh' rating from Rotten Tomatoes critics based on 408 reviews. The RT Critics Consensus reads, 'Gargantuan in action, runtime, and scope, The Final Reckoning is a sentimental sendoff for Ethan Hunt that accomplishes its mission with a characteristic flair for the impossible.' The film also earned an 88% 'fresh' audience score based on 10,000-plus verified user ratings. The RT audience summary for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning simply reads, 'Mission: Accomplished.' The official PVOD release date for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will be reported on as soon as the information becomes available.

Superman's Nicholas Hoult Shared The Advice Michael Rosenbaum Gave Him About Playing Lex Luthor, And The Smallville Actor Had A Lovely Response
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Nicholas Hoult landed the role of Lex Luthor even though he auditioned to play the Man of Steel, but there were no hard feelings, as the British actor knew reading the script that the antagonist role was more in his wheelhouse. Still, to best play Superman's well-known villain, Hoult shared some advice given to him by Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum, who, in turn, had a lovely response to his kind words. Michael Rosenbaum's Lex Luthor Advice to Nicholas Hoult When taking on a timeless role like Lex Luthor for James Gunn's Superman movie, it helps to get advice from actors who've been in the villainous role before. Batman V. Superman's Lex Luthor's Jesse Eisenberg's blunt advice to Nicholas Hoult was… basically not to watch his performance. On the other hand, Nicholas Hoult had the pleasure of meeting the Lex Luthor he grew up watching: Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum. They've had a couple of occasions to meet. A year ago, on the American actor's podcast, the two talked about Hoult getting fit to play the role, and thy met again on set during Rosenbaum's cameo in Superman. Hoult got real with Entertainment Weekly on what it was like to finally meet the man behind his childhood villain, saying, Honestly, he was so kind and encouraging, and he really gave me a freedom and a confidence and a support that felt really lovely going into it. He was probably the first person I saw play Luthor when I was growing up. So to get to interact with him and to chat with him beforehand was really special. I appreciate that from him, his time, but also just his encouragement meant a lot. I completely relate to Nicholas Hoult in growing up watching Michael Rosenbaum play Lex. Smallville was one of the best DC superhero shows for the modern era and introduced younger audiences to the Man of Steel's beginnings. I remember Rosenbaum was on-point in portraying Lex's sinister personality while also being low-key – knowing his friendship with Clark Kent would uncover secrets of the Kryptonian native. It must have been a real dream for Nicholas Hoult to finally meet Michael Rosenbaum. But before they parted ways, the podcaster made sure to impart some sage words of advice onto the next Lex Luthor. Hoult recounted, The beautiful thing he said was, 'You've got this. Go have fun.' It's a, weirdly, kind of uplifting and wonderful thing to play a character that you've watched someone play and do a brilliant job at, to then have them say, 'Yeah, go get it. Go take it on.' That's a really bolstering sort of thing to happen. It was very kind of him to do that because I suppose it's a weird thing taking on a character that other people have played in some ways. Normally in acting, there's no comparisons, really, when it's a unique character, but when there's been different interpretations, then obviously people do compare. Michael Rosenbaum may have wanted to take the Lex Luthor role away from Jesse Eisenberg, but it looks like he's kindly given the go-ahead to Nicholas Hoult. One can tell Nicholas Hoult was enjoying himself playing the role in a new Superman clip that was released featuring Lex poking fun at Superman for missing his dog. While there may be a lot of pressure to portray a role that's been done many times before, the actor has earned acclaim for his performance. Michael Rosenbaum's Reaction to Nicholas Hoult's Praises Nicholas Hoult's kind words about Michael Rosenbaum didn't escape the eyes of the talented actor. Rosenbaum took to Instagram to return the favor for Hoult, writing: So kind of Nicholas to say such lovely things about me. I adore him. He's a great actor and will knock it out of the park. I told him right off the bat… 'you're in great hands with James'. Michael Rosenbaum knows what he's talking about since he's worked with James Gunn in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 as Martinex. I'm sure he trusts that the filmmaker's vision of Lex Luthor would be one his longtime pal would be proud of. Nicholas Hoult must have felt a wave of nostalgia meeting Smallville's fan-favorite Lex, who offered him wise advice on the role. Fortunately, he and Michael Rosenbaum plan to meet again on his podcast for the two to discuss their take on the new Superman. You can see Hoult's version of Lex Luthor in the 2025 movie release playing in theaters now. Solve the daily Crossword

She-Hulk Scene Stealer Welcomes ‘Crossover' Between Madisynn and Superman's Eve Tessmacher
Don't wait up, Wongers. Madisynn King wants to party with Eve Tessmacher, in what could be the most awaited Marvel/DC crossover since Deadpool/Batman #1. WHO IS EVE TESSMACHER? Coming out of the first wave of showings for James Gunn's Superman movie, many were abuzz about Sara Sampaio as Eve Tessmacher. Supervillain Lex Luthor's superfashionable girlfriend is seen forever snapping selfies, and allegedly has 'mutant toes' (per Jimmy Olsen's Caller ID for her) that 'look like someone spilled shrimp cocktail on the floor.' Your Superman Spinoff Pick? Did High Potential Cast Ex? And More! Why That One Superman Movie Cameo Is a Pretty Big Deal for Peacemaker Season 2 Without spoiling much of anything, Eve ends up playing an important role in the scheme of things that belies her daffy persona. A fun-loving, borderline-annoying and ultimately scene-stealing young woman in a comic book-based property? It's no small wonder that there has been a call on social media for DC Studios co-CEO Gunn and his Marvel counterpart Kevin Feige to make happen a crossover between Superman's Eve and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law's resident party girl, Madisynn King. WHO IS MADISYNN KING? Played by Patti Guggenheim, Madisynn was introduced as a slightly tipsy volunteer assistant to stage magician Donny Blaze, and later appeared in court to testify against him — after she had gotten sucked into an inter-dimensional hellscape and made a blood pact with a talking goat/demon named Jake. Madisynn, who, yes, spells her name with two Ns and one Y (though it's not where you thiiiiink), wound up forming a sweet connection with Mystic Arts master Wong (MCU vet Benedict Wong), and last was seen accidentally spoiling The Sopranos for him during a cozy binge-watch at Kamar-Taj. (Since then, Madisynn was 'heard' but not seen in a panel from the comic book What If… Venom? #3.) Guggenheim recently got wind of the wish for a Madisynn-Tess team up, and promptly shared her endorsement on Threads: 'Honestly, in. Love her.' Interestingly, Guggenheim's Madisynn almost crossed over with Agatha Harkness and her coven, but Agatha All Along head writer Jac Schaeffer just couldn't make it work. 'I really wanted to include Madisynn because I think she's so deeply funny, and she talked about Jake the goat,' Schaeffer recalled in a November House of R podcast. 'We were all banging our heads against the wall trying to figure out, 'How do we make the goat our literal and figurative gateway to getting Madisynn on the [Witches] Road?' and it just didn't work. It was shoe-horning, and I had to let that go.' Superman cast member Sampaio's previous acting credits include an episode of Showtime's Billions, while Guggenheim since She-Hulk's one-and-done run has guested on shows such as Matlock (in Season 1's two-part finale), The Spiderwick Chronicles and the upcoming second season of Peacock's Twisted Metal.
