
MP govt postpones regional growth summit

"The event is expected to be held by the end of May," he said.According to senior administrative officials, Indore, Ujjain and Dewas are three big cities in Madhya Pradesh, which are adjacent and have witnessed rapid development in all sectors. The Ujjain Simhastha 2028 will further boost growth in this region. There is a need for land for investors, industries and commercial establishments in almost every sector.
As such, state govt decided to hold a regional growth summit to showcase the availability of land in these three districts.

In a bid to pave the way for the development of the MR-10 road, Indore Development Authority (IDA) will construct high-rise apartments to shift the affected families."IDA board on Friday decided to construct housing units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 on a 1.613-hectare plot (FP-422) within the IDA's Town Planning Scheme (TPS)-08," IDA CEO RP Ahirwar said, adding that this construction will pave the way for the development of the MR-10 road by shifting the affected families into the IDA board meeting, held under the chairmanship of divisional commissioner and chairman Deepak Singh, saw several significant decisions to advance various development projects in the city. "A tender of ₹48.81 crore was approved by the board for the construction of a new Rail Over Bridge between Laxmibai Nagar and Mangalia railway stations on the MR-10 road," the CEO added that tenders were approved for the shifting of High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) lines. This includes a ₹3.93 crore tender for the remaining work on a 60-metre-wide road and a ₹1.90 crore tender for shifting lines that are obstructing the construction of master plan roads in TPS-4 (Nipania and Kanadiya)."The board also approved a tender for the construction of a 12-meter-wide link road from Ring Road to MR-11, including street lighting and HT/LT line relocation," Ahirwar said.

AICTSL to get 50 new electric buses this month
Indore: Atal Indore City Transport Services Limited (AICTSL) will receive 50 new electric buses by the end of this month. Currently, AICTSL operates 30 electric buses on BRTS corridor and 50 on other city routes. To support these new additions, construction of two electric bus depots has commenced at ISBT Nayta Mundla and Dewas Naka, with financial assistance from both central and state govts. AICTSL on Wednesday held a board meeting, chaired by Mayor and board president Pushyamitra Bhargav, where significant decisions were taken to bolster green mobility and enhance public transportation across the region. "AICTSL is rapidly expanding its intercity electric bus services. Operations for 26 fully-equipped electric buses will soon begin on routes connecting Indore to Ujjain, Bhopal, Khargone, Sendhwa, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Ratlam, Dhar-Mandav, and Maheshwar. The tender process for these routes is already complete," he said. In an effort to introduce double-decker buses, AICTSL had previously invited tenders. As no bidders participated, the board decided that AICTSL/IMC would directly undertake the procurement of double-decker buses. To further enhance last-mile connectivity, discussions were held regarding the future operation of e-bikes in the city.
