Now it's time for our readers to do it again.
Nominations are officially open below with the first round of voting set to begin June 28 with several rounds following before a winner is announced in late July.
Even before Aubrey Plaza landed her role on "The White Lotus," the First State's downright lovable actress ran away with our "Most Famous Delawarean" poll, winning 42% of the votes.
And the comedian made sure to milk her title for laughs in the years following.
On "The Late Show," two years after the poll, the 2002 Ursuline Academy graduate jokingly threatened to sue Delaware Online/The News Journal as she riffed on language used by President Donald Trump after he lost to President Joe Biden.
With Biden as the then-president-elect, arguably making him the most famous person in the world, Plaza was not about to give up her title.
"I will not concede," the Wilmington native told Colbert. "In fact, I have many lawsuits coming after The News Journal, the Delaware News Journal. So they better watch out and they better count all their clicks. It was an online poll and I want those clicks counted."
Three years later, when the former "Saturday Night Live" page got her first opportunity to host the venerable NBC late-night sketch show, her monologue featured the poll.
"I was actually voted the most famous person from Delaware. I beat Joe Biden and he was pissed. He was livid," she joked.
Plaza then queued up a video clip from Biden himself, and the president did not cast shade on her claims of the crown:
"Aubrey, you're the most famous person in Delaware; there's no question about that. We're just glad you made it out of 'White Lotus' alive!''
Even before her nationally televised plugs for the poll, People magazine wrote about the results in 2018, headlined "Aubrey Plaza Trolled Joe Biden on Twitter After Being Named Delaware's Most Famous Person."
'I honestly don't know how I did that! He didn't even make it in the Top 3. And I was trolling him on Twitter!' she was quoted as saying to talk show host Conan O'Brien. 'I was like, 'How did this happen? You were vice president!'"
Her Biden troll came when she reposted the results and tagged the then-former vice president, who grew up in Claymont: "What's up @JoeBiden?"
While Plaza won the crown, it might come as a surprise that Biden didn't come in second.
In fact, he didn't come in third, fourth or fifth either. The future president came in sixth place.
Late jazz phenom Clifford Brown (Wilmington) came in second, late former Philadelphia Phillies player and manager Dallas Green (Newport) was third, former WNBA star Elena Delle Donne (Wilmington) landed in fourth place and political commentator Bill Press (Delaware City) rounded out the top five.

The top 10 also included rocker George Thorogood (Brandywine Hundred) in seventh place, political operative and podcaster Dan Pfeiffer (Wilmington) in eighth, actress Elisabeth Shue (Wilmington) in ninth and Heimlich maneuver namesake Henry Heimlich (Wilmington) in 10th place.
Who will be in the top 10 this year? It's up to you. Nominations close June 19.

Miller Lite is giving away 50,000 free beers on International Beer Day
Miller Lite is celebrating International Beer Day, and its 50th anniversary, by offering fans 50,000 free beers at 450 bars across the country on Friday, Aug. 1. The beer brand will also host a special New Year's Eve-style "Beer Drop" at the Miller Lite Brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Fans age 21 or older but unable to make it to any of the listed bars can still participate through an online alternative, the company said. "The 50th anniversary is just more than a milestone for Miller Lite, it's a celebration of our fans and the five decades we've spent together enjoying Miller Time," Ann Legan, Vice President of Marketing for Miller family of brands, said in a news release. The company kicked off its 50th year celebration by releasing limited-edition gold cans earlier this summer and unveiling a partnership with "Saturday Night Live" star Marcello Hernandez. Free Miller Lite beers will be offered at 450 different bars in the U.S. To find the nearest participating location near you, visit enter your state, and navigate the list. The company will host its main event at the Miller Lite Brewery in Milwaukee, where cans will drop one-by-one from a massive six-pack installation at 4:50 p.m. local time. The event will also be livestreamed with the installation dropping at 4:50 p.m. across various time zones. "No matter where you are when the clock strikes 4:50PM, it's Miller Time," the brand said in a news release. You can also check bars and breweries in your area for any International Beer Day deals. The start of International Beer Day can be traced back to 2007 and was the brainchild of four friends who, according to started the day as a "celebration of beer and the people who provide it". According to the website, the celebration happens each year on the first Friday in August. International Beer Day is separate from National Beer Day, which is held annually in April to mark the first legal sale of alcohol since Prohibition began in 1920. 6 Summer Style Fads That Aren't Worth the Money—and What a Fashion Writer Says You Should Wear Instead
This summer has brought so many fun trends. From nostalgic polka dot skirts to mesh ballet flats that require a pedicure, I've been thoroughly enjoying the return of fun to fashion—from afar. While I love many of the latest trends, it's just not practical to invest in them all, especially when I know they will be out of style within a year. Although I'm still drawing inspiration from new fads, I'm leaving the overly saturated, niche iterations behind in place of more timeless pieces. To save your seasonal wardrobe—and your wallet—I'm sharing the six trends you should skip this summer, plus what to wear instead. These classic alternatives will still make you look fashionable, but I'm willing to bet they'll stay in your closet much longer than microtrends will. The nostalgic style adds a feminine touch to any outfit, and I've loved seeing it paired with more masculine pieces. I have a polka dot skirt myself, but I have a feeling it will burn out quickly. So now, I have my eye on more unique prints that will set me apart from the crowd—and last at least a few years. From the gorgeous, earthy stripe on Madewell's mini skirt to a romantic floral print on Belle Poque's midi dress, these designs will put a unique spin on any outfit, without looking unfashionable in less than a year. Barrel jeans are turning out to be the most divisive denim style since skinny jeans. They've been around for a couple of years, and yet, they still haven't been widely accepted. If you aren't game for facing some serious style criticism, opt for a wide-leg or relaxed, tapered jean that's just as fashionable. These silhouettes are the new classics, and I'm quite sure they're here to stay. Shop my favorites from just $39, below. It's rare for me to come across a trend I can't get behind, but I'm struggling to support the bloomers trend. Instead, I'm eyeing satin and eyelet shorts that feel just as feminine without looking costumey. Whether you splurge on the Reformation Fern Satin Shorts or dare to wear the $13 Ekouaer Satin Pajama Shorts in daylight, satin styles are so much more timeless than bloomers—and fashion people are starting to wear them in lieu of more traditional short styles. Eyelet shorts are another more versatile option that still exudes plenty of style; try these eyelet shorts from Madewell that can be dressed up or down and are on sale for just $47. Last year, I spotted mesh flats on a select few of the most fashionable of New Yorkers. This year, they're everywhere. I'm predicting that by next year, we are all going to hate the trend, and resale shops will fill to the brim with the discarded mesh flats we've grown tired of. Instead, I found unique ballet flats that are so much better. If you still want to show some skin, the Dsevht Crochet Ballet Flats are a great choice (and will make you look so in-the-know). Low-profile sneakers and Mary Jane flats had an ultra-trendy baby, and it's the most polarizing shoe of the season. Whenever two trends come together to create a hybrid trend, I'm wary of its lifespan, but something tells me this one will be especially short-lived. Instead of buying a pair of 'sneakerinas,' I recommended either buying sneakers or Mary Janes (or one of each!) that are just as cute and comfortable—but won't look dated in a year or two. In place of Puma's Speedcat Ballet Shoes, I'm opting for the original sneaker version that's just as trendy. Plus, I've found a Mary Jane mule that's just as unique, and it comes from one of the comfiest shoe brands around. Keep scrolling to discover your new staple shoe. I can't deny it: I'm obsessed with toe-ring sandals. My favorite pairs feature metal detailing on the toe loop, resulting in an elevated yet laid-back look. As much as I love the trend, however, I've been holding back on purchasing a pair for myself. In all honesty, I don't think I'll be pulling these sandals out of my closet to wear next summer. While the toe-ring style may die out soon, I'm predicting that metal hardware is here to stay. I found four gorgeous pairs of sandals with statement hardware, including flip-flops, gladiator sandals, and travel-ready slides. Netflix's secret category codes unlock hyper-specific genres that go way beyond what shows up on the homepage. Want campy horror from the '80s? Feel-good rom-coms with a teen twist? Movies that clock in under 90 minutes, also known as "short-ass movies,"? There's a code for all of that—and then some. Once you know how to use them, these hidden codes can completely change how you browse, helping you surface gems that would otherwise stay buried. There's no official directory, and it's hard to get a full list, as categories will go empty as movies and shows move on and off Netflix. The names of categories will also change often as well so you'll want to be vigilant when you go searching for what you want to watch. To make it easier for you, there are even categories that you can use to find all the award-winning movies and shows to be discovered on the streamer.
