
Amir Karara and Hannah El Zahed's Film "Al Shater" Sets Release Date
Egyptian stars Amir Karara and Hannah El Zahed's upcoming film "Al Shater" will hit theaters on Thursday, July 10.
While specific details on the upcoming project remain under wraps, the pic sees Karara returning to the action comedy genre for the second time since 2023's film "Baebae" (The Bogeyman).
The cast also includes Mohammad Al Qass, Mostafa Gharieb, and more. Ahmed El Gendy is directing the film from a script he co-wrote with Karim Youssef.
"Al Shater" is co-produced by Synergy Films and Pyramids Productions and marks the first collaboration between Karara and El Zahed.
The pic will compete at the box office with other films released around the same time, including "Ahmed and Ahmed," starring Ahmed El Sakka and Ahmed Fahmy; "Darwish," starring Amr Youssef and Dina El Sherbiny; and "Rocky El Ghalaba," starring Donia Samir Ghanem and Mohamed Mamdouh.
Karara was last seen on the big screen in "Baebae", and El Zahed can be seen in the star-studded film "Al Mashrue X".

Tamer Hosny and Shamy - music Saturday 23 August, 11pm Beach Resort, Marassi One of the biggest pop celebrities in Egypt and the Arab region, Tamer Hosny released over 13 top-selling albums. His songs appeared in several television series. Apart from his solo performances across the Arab region, Hosny also collaborated with international artists such as Snoop Dogg and Shaggy and Arab musicians like Rim Banna, Latifa, Souad Massi, and Ramy Sabry. Al-Shami (also known as Abdul Rahman Fawaz) is a Syrian singer and musician known for blending Western and Eastern musical styles. The concert is part of the Layali Marassi, a summer series providing performances of best-known singers at the Beach Resort, Marassi. The concerts take place on each Saturday, until the end of August. JadaL band - music Sunday 24 August, 8:30pm Open air theatre (Plaza), Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alexandria Jordanian band JadaL has played alternative rock since the early 2000s, a time when the Jordanian music scene was filled with pop, commercial tunes, and love songs. Among first successes of the band was its founder, Mahmoud Radaideh's new arrangement of El-Toba, a well-known song by the legendary Abdel-Halim Hafez. Radaideh then released the single Salma, a song he wrote and dedicated to his niece. Played on the radio, the song helped JadaL move to the front lines of the local music scene. JadaL's themes are rooted in the life of Arab youth such as the race against time and working hard to earn one's bread. They also dissect difficult situations in the country and the many problems that youth face. The concert is part of the ongoing 22nd Bibliotheca Alexandrina International Summer Festival. Read more about the festival here Fouad & Mounib - music Monday 25 August, 8pm Great Hall, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alexandria The story of Fouad and Mounib goes back to 2015 when the two musicians met on Facebook and began sharing their music. After a few months, the duo performed in their first concert at Alexandria's Creativity Centre. The duo's popularity increased, taking them to numerous renowned halls across Egypt, and tours to Morocco and Austria. With time, the musicians started pursuing more ambitious creative endeavours, with Mounib creating arrangements for various ensembles and an orchestra. TV Series "Single Mother Father" Casts Hanady Mehanna
Yara Sameh Egyptian actress Hanady Mehanna has recently joined the cast of Riham Abdel Ghafour and Sherif Salama's TV series "Single Mother Father". Written and directed by Tamer Nady, the drama marks the second collaboration between Abdel Ghafour and Salama after the 2014 TV series "Al Khatia". Principal photography is set to commence soon. Mehanna can be seen in the story "2028 Time" from the TV series "Ma Tarah Les Kama Yabdo." The drama consists of 35 episodes, each divided into seven stories that are presented in 5 episodes and highlight different combinations of social, suspense, and humanitarian themes.
