She opens her career after two improving trials, the latest a real eye-catcher when settling at the back over 900m at Albury on a soft 7 before cruising down the middle to win with something in hand.
It was the work of a debutant primed to find the line in suitable going when she tackles a Maiden Plate over 1200m, with leading jockey Blaike McDougall in the saddle.

Brad Widdup is a Group 1 winner and a leading provincial trainer but he is still a country boy at heart and loves getting back to his roots when the right opportunities are there. The Albury raised Widdup heads wet with a trio of capable runners ready to shine, none more so than High Dandy in the Bankstown Sports Forbes Cup (1600m) which is also a Big Dance Qualifier. The John Camilleri-bred and owned gelding has improved with each run this campaign starting off with a seventh to Nana's Wish at Canterbury before a fourth to Walking Painting and a second to Glad You Think So both in Randwick Midways over 1600m. • PUNT LIKE A PRO: Become a Racenet iQ member and get expert tips – with fully transparent return on investment statistics – from Racenet's team of professional punters at our Pro Tips section. SUBSCRIBE NOW! 'He has taken a while to get to his peak for one reason or another but his last two runs have been really good,' said Widdup. 'Hopefully he can continue on with that now. The son of Camilleri's own Group 1 winner Ace High looks well placed in the Cup being a 71 rater with 56kg, just a kilo above the minimum. Heading the weight for the race is Another One with 65kg although he comes down to 62kg after the claim. 'He gets in well at the weights which is not often the case when you take a horse out to the country,' Widdup said. 'He has good Sydney form and the fact he gets quite a bit of weight off those couple of well-performed, higher benchmark rated horses, I would like to think he will be very competitive. Widdup has gained the services of Hawkesbury-based jockey Chad Lever who has been on great form since returning to the saddle late last year. 'I was surprised that he is going out there but when we seen his name down for some rides, we were lucky to be able to get him,' Widdup said. Widdup and lever will also team up with lightly-raced mare Initiate in the Walker Family Showcase Super Maiden Handicap (1300m). The four-year-old is closing in on her first win after a close second to Divo and third to Capital Jicinta at Wyong before a last start fourth behind Denial at Kembla. 'She is only a little filly but she tries very hard,' he said. 'She is probably still another preparation away from really being at her best but she is going well. 'Hopefully she can knock her maiden off this weekend. 'I don't think barrier eight is a bad draw for her. 'She's doesn't have real early toe so drawing there, hopefully she can slot in somewhere midfield or maybe a bit closer.' Widdup's final runner for the day is Party Doll in the Club Forbes Showcase Class 2 Handicap (1100m) who will be ridden by stable apprentice, Poppie Gorton. Gorton was having her first day riding at Bathurst two weeks ago when fourth on Party Doll. 'She drew awkward at Bathurst last start and was slow to begin before she took off around them,' said Widdup. 'She just did a lot of work but it was a good effort to finish where she did. 'She is better on top of the ground and is finding it hard to win a race but John (Camilleri, owner) has been good enough to give Poppie a couple of rides on her and her four kilo claim brings her into this race. 'Hopefully she can begin well and be in the race and I'm sure she will run really well if that's the case.' ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ADAM SHERRY'S TOP SELECTIONS BEST BET Race 3 No. 3: INITIATE Has strong provincial form and gets his chance to break through. That Cowra win was his fourth from five ruins on heavy ground. LOUIE'S LEGACY (11) resumed in Federal Open at Canberra without a trial when a half-length second to Craving magic over 1280m. Stepped up to 1600m with a third to Hot Bandit in the Narrandera Cup. The 1100m helps. ROYAL BOMBADIER (7) raced ungenerously in the straight when resuming at Port Macquarie. Much better effort last start when a half-length second to Calido Magic at Gosford. PARTY DOLL (1) did it tough when fourth last start. Handy provincial form before that. Bet: Abstruse to win

Race-by-race preview and tips for Monday meeting at Wagga (Riverside)

Track Heavy 8 and rail True. Race 1 2. Pride Of Jezza is a locally trained and improving four-year-old who can make it two straight after finally breaking through on the course proper here. Revelled in similar conditions that day, coming from well off the speed, and has been given four weeks between runs. 5. Flutterby is a Victorian mare who hasn't finished further back than second in her last five and swept home to win on soft ground two starts ago before being ridden quieter and charging late behind a dominant winner at Albury 17 days ago. 8. Dantains Prize is bursting to win a race deep into the campaign, and drawn to get a handy trail and getting down to the limit weight. 6. Bomerton has been running home okay behind the placegetters all prep, and gets weight relief here with a new jockey aboard. 1. Mishima was beaten a long way at Kilmore last start, but fit enough, and did win his maiden win on heavy ground at Wodonga two starts ago when backed from $4.20 into $2.80. Extra trip and a 3kg claimer staying aboard are plusses. How to play it: Pride Of Jezza to win Race 2 6. Impending Imprint, by Impending out of a Hinchinbrook mare, makes her debut in suitable conditions for the leading Donna Scott stable at Albury. Won the second of two trials when sailing down the middle from last, leading country jockey is on, and she's drawn to get the right cover early. 5. Belnera is in the mix despite a wide draw after leading for a long way here first-up behind a very handy winner, and bred to thrive in rain-affected going. 3. Quick Spell has shown steady improvement in four runs this prep. Blinkers come off, but has to overcome a tricky draw and a jump in weight. 2. Lover Man is a betting watch on debut with gear additions for the Ron Stubbs stable after blowing the jump in an Albury trial. 7. Lack Of Restraint crossing the border third-up, and 11. Wild Annie well into the campaign can both figure in the minor money. How to play it: Impending Imprint to win Race 3 3. Performing Diva is a progressive and lightly raced mare resuming with no public trials. Showed more than enough at her second start when hitting the line late at Goulburn, and has reportedly been working well for some time. 1. Forte Cheval, a first starter by Strasbourg from the same yard as the previous on top selection, is a big market watch. Has had two trials, the latest sitting wide and matching it with unbeaten Cambar before wilting late. 5. Rita Red has been in the money in two runs back from a lengthy break, and in-form jockey sticks solid. Big watch on home-tracker 7. Party Boss resuming with no official trials, but did make the group 3 Black Opal field as a two-year-old. 4. Vinari improves at her second start on a bigger track. How to play it: Performing Diva to win Race 4 1. Antisocial is a capable Victorian mare who can bounce back third-up in suitable ground and take her winning strike rate to near 25 per cent. She charged home to win on the course proper here for a dominant win on a bog track before having a torrid and wide run in deeper grade at Corowa. Drawn to get cover, and has won two from three in heavy going. 2. Getty boxed on okay from a low draw first-up in a handy class 3. Less depth here and handles the going. 3. Magic Leprechaun pulled off a nice betting move when resuming in heavy ground at Albury, charging home from last in a class 1. This isn't much tougher, and he's lightly raced for a six-year-old. Be surprised if the winner comes outside those three, but 6. King Charles is back sharply in trip and dropping in grade, and 9. Winehouse is fourth-up with blinkers added and trained on the track; add value into trifecta and first four plays. How to play it: Antisocial to win
