The latest cast announced includes, Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.
Johnny Flynn will play the villainous Lucius Malfoy, replacing Jason Isaacs in his iconic movie role.
Series regulars will include Janet McTeer as Professor Minerva McGonagall, Nick Frost as groundskeeper Hagrid and Paapa Essiedu as Professor Severus Snape.
Rounding out that announcement were Luke Thallon as Quirrell and Paul Whitehouse as Filch.
They will also have big shoes to fill - succeeding the late Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane and Alan Rickman.
The Sun revealed how HBO's adaptation will be filmed in a £billion mini town - including a school and medical centre.
It will include new roads, multi-storey car parks and vast hangars to house the sets.
A TV insider said: 'Warner Bros are making a huge commitment to the new TV show, looking at making multiple, lengthy series over the next decade.
'So they see pumping a huge amount of cash in upfront to construct this infrastructure as a worthwhile investment which they'll eventually get a return on.
'What they'll have is a small metropolis which will not only provide the backdrop for the show but all the facilities the huge cast and crew need, too.'

Danny Dyer eyes Doctor Who job as he reveals plan for 'working class alpha' role

The Bafta-winning actor says he'd like to follow in the footsteps of the actors lucky enough to be cast in the 'iconic' role Danny Dyer has told how he'd love to star in Doctor Who - while admitting he'd play the Time Lord as 'a bit mental'. The actor says that while he's never been asked to try out for the TARDIS role, he certainly wouldn't rule it out if he was. ‌ 'It's such an iconic thing to do,' he explained. 'It's almost – not on the same level – like James Bond. It's a character that's loved by so many. Again, it gives you an opportunity with Doctor Who, because of the nature of the work, to bring something left-field, something a bit mental, a bit stylised, which I love. I love the idea of it.' ‌ ‌ Speaking ahead of the return of Sky's Mr Bigstuff this week, for which he earned a Bafta for best comedy performance earlier this year, Danny said no one would be surprised with how he'd play the Doctor, if he was ever given the chance. 'Well, he would be an incredibly working-class Dr Who,' he laughed. 'Yeah, maybe a bit alpha. What I do, really. You've hired me for a reason - I don't think you'd want me to come in and play Doctor Who, you know, really posh.' He said maybe his down-to-earth, no frills approach is what the series has been missing. 'I don't think we've ever had a working-class Doctor Who, have we? Well, Jodie Whittaker, she brought a bit of that to it,' he said, confessing that he doesn't know much about the complicated history of the 62-year-old sci fi series. ‌ 'I know it's hard work, and some of the dialogue he's got, he's got big monologues, talking about s*** you don't understand.' Other recent Doctors have included outgoing Sex Education actor Ncuti Gatwa, fellow Scot Peter Capaldi and English actor Matt Smith, who went on to play Prince Phillip in The Crown. ‌ The bookies are forever slashing Danny's odds when the runners and riders for who will next steer the TARDIS are being considered. 'I'll be honest, no one's ever approached me about it. But I see things now and again, my odds have been slashed to this, that and the other - it's definitely something I would consider." In Mr Bigstuff, the main cast will this time be joined by a raft of guest stars including two from EastEnders. One is Linda Henry, who played Queen Vic barmaid Shirley Carter for 16 years until leaving in 2022. Danny's character Mick thought Shirley was his sister until discovering she was actually his mum in 2014. ‌ The second series of Mr Bigstuff will also feature Shaun Williamson, who played Albert Square's Barry Evans, plus actress Rula Lenska. In the six-part comedy, Danny - who also stars in Disney's returning series Rivals - plays estranged elder brother Lee alongside Ryan Samson - who also writes the show - as his younger sibling Glen. The action picks up two weeks after the last one ended, with the shock news that the brothers' dad is not actually dead after all. - Mr Bigstuff, Sky and Now, Thursday 24 July

BBC 'masterpiece' period drama based on 'greatest book of all time' leaves viewers speechless

The BBC period drama is based on a very famous novel and has a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score. A BBC TV adaptation of a very famous novel has caught the attention of impressed viewers who have branded it a "true masterpiece". There have been several adaptations of Charlotte Brontë's famous 1847 novel Jane Eyre, but one in particular has left fans raving. ‌ The BBC's adaptation of Jane Eyre follows the early life of the titular character, who is raised as a poor relation in the household of her aunt, Mrs. Reed. Jane receives cruel treatment from her aunt and cousins and is put into an orphanage. ‌ When she is old enough to work, she is hired by the housekeeper of Thornfield Hall, Mrs. Fairfax, to be a governess for young Adèle (Cosima Littlewood) at the country estate. However, when she becomes entangled with the brooding master of Thornfield Hall, Edward Fairfax Rochester, his dark past threatens to destroy their relationship. ‌ The four-episode show, which hit screens in 2006, is directed by Susanna White and written by Sandy Welch, the Express reports. Ruth Wilson stars as Jane while Toby Stephens portrays Edward. The cast also features Lorraine Ashbourne, Pam Ferris and Andrew Buchan. ‌ The BBC series was a hit with fans and dominated the 2007 award season, scooping up a BAFTA and three Primetime Emmy Awards. Jane Eyre currently holds a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It is based on Charlotte Brontë's book, which is widely considered to be one of the greatest novels of all time. Praising Brontë's work online, one wrote: "Everyone should be a fan of Jane Eyre, it's the greatest novel ever." ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! It is now my favorite. If you're thinking of reading it, do not hesitate and read it immediately because you'll regret the moments you spent without reading this masterpiece!" A third chimed in: "This is easily a five star book for me. I love the way that this is written— beautiful, descriptive, and brilliant. ‌ "Some may take the descriptive aspect as a weakness, but for me, it was an important addition to the emotional impact of the book. Story wise, I have no words. The angst of the plot will keep you going." Someone else wrote: "Jane Eyre (greatest novel of all time IMO". A fifth penned: "Marvellous!!! It really was and still is one of the best novels of all time." ‌ The series has also received similar levels of praise with one viewer declaring: "Okay but the 2006 BBC masterpiece Jane Eyre is…… I don't know, a perfect series." A second said: "I highly recommend Jane Eyre from 2006 or 2007 with Toby Stephens and Ruth Wilson, a true masterpiece." Another impressed fan questioned: "Is there a show out there that can possibly contend with the BBC 's 2006 miniseries masterpiece Jane Eyre? unlikely." ‌ Someone else commented: "This is the most beautiful adaptation of Jane Eyre. The acting is all round superb. "Eyre and Rochester are full of soul, something lacking in other depictions that only focus on the seriousness of the characters, often failing to portray their passion." Expressing their admiration for the show, a fifth added: "This show did not need to be this well done. They could've left it to be like other book tv show adaptations… yet they delivered!!! "They understood the assignment and did the extra credit!! They knew it could be the greatest, and aimed higher!! Loved the acting, loved the set, the music, the directing!! Everything is so good!"

British actor 'tipped to become next James Bond' after bosses narrow shortlist

A new name has entered the fray in the search for the next James Bond, with actor Callum Turner 'tipped' to take the role. The 35-year-old model-turned-actor – and fiancée of pop icon Dua Lipa – starred in the Apple TV+ drama Masters of the Air as Major 'Bucky' Egan. He also appeared in the Harry Potter spin-off films as Theseus Scamander in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and The Secrets of Dumbledore. Last month, it was confirmed that the Bond franchise had found its next director in Dune helmsman Denis Villeneuve. This led to speculation that his Lisan al Gaib Timothée Chalamet might take on the role – but the iconic spy's shoes remain unfilled for now. With Bond's Amazon bosses reportedly circling just a handful of names, British actor Callum may yet fit the bill. According to a report from Heart Bingo, it's believed that Callum would be Amazon bosses' best pick for the role. Sarah Caskie, Head of Brand for online website told The Daily Mail: 'With the rumour mill surrounding the next continuing to turn following the announcement Amazon will be taking the reins with the franchise, we've turned to public opinion to find the best fit for the 007 role. 'The masses have spoken on X and we've collated the data to find that Callum Turner is the people's choice to replace Daniel Craig, with 63% of posts concerning his potential role in the next film being positive, while 0% were negative.' As of April, Callum's odds for the role were at 20/1. Outside of his acting work, Callum may best be known as Dua Lipa's husband-to-be. The Levitating singer confirmed that she and boyfriend Callum had gotten engaged, months after flashing a chunky engagement ring on social media. 'Yeah, we're engaged,' she told British Vogue. 'It's very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever – it's a really special feeling.' Should Callum take on the license to kill – or even if he misses out – bosses could do far worse than hit up Dua Lipa for the next theme tune. Callum joins a list of names which include current frontrunner Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James Norton and Theo James. Last month, producers were said to be facing a choice between three big names. This list consisted of Babygirl's Harris Dickinson, Saltburn star Jacob Elordi and Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland. However, with the position still vacant, BBC actor Scott Rose-Marsh has also emerged as a potential candidate. The 37-year-old thespian, who appeared in movies Wolves of War and Code of Silence, is currently eighth-favourite for the part, according to Oddschecker. This makes him something of an underdog in the fight, especially when compared to bigger names like Henry Cavill and Tom Hardy. The search for the next Bond follows the news that Dune director Denis will helm the franchise's next instalment. More Trending 'Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007,' he said in a statement released soon after the news broke. 'I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since Dr. No with Sean Connery. I'm a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he's sacred territory. He described the opportunity 'a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honour.' Got a story?
