Thomas Partey granted conditional bail after appearing in court on rape charges
The charges relate to three women and are alleged to have taken place between 2021 and 2022, with the Metropolitan Police starting their investigation into Partey, 32, in February 2022 when they received a report of rape.

The five charges of rape relate to alleged incidents that took place between April 21 and May 31, 2021, April and June 2021, in December 2021, February 2022 and June 2022. The charge of sexual assault relates to an alleged incident in February 2022.
Partey was not asked to submit a plea, but has previously denied the charges.
He was granted conditional bail at Tuesday's hearing.
As per the condition's of his bail, Partey must inform police of any international travel 24 hours in advance, and must not contact the complainants, directly or indirectly.
The Ghana international, who is close to joining La Liga team Villarreal on a free transfer, is scheduled to next appear in court on September 2 at the Old Bailey in London.
Partey arrived at court on Tuesday in a people carrier with his legal representatives, dressed in black, and declined to speak to media outside.
He had been the subject of an investigation that first started in February 2022 and had continued playing for Arsenal prior to the expiration of his contract in June 2025. He was charged on July 4.
In April, The Athletic reported that Partey was in talks over remaining at the Emirates Stadium but an agreement could not be reached on the terms of a deal.
Partey made 52 appearances for Arsenal during the 2024-25 campaign. He joined the club from Atletico Madrid for €50 million (now £45.4m, $58.7m) in 2020.
He has already undergone a medical with Villarreal and is expected to join the Champions League team shortly.
Arsenal host Villarreal in a pre-season friendly at the Emirates on Wednesday.

Ferdinand argued that Sesko would be a big risk signing, unlike Watkins, who is already familiar with the dynamics of the Premier League and would hit the ground running from the first day. However, the six-time Premier League has now changed tune, emphasising that Sesko has what it takes to thrive at United. Ferdinand's latest stance on Sesko Speaking on his Rio Presents YouTube channel, Ferdinand explained, 'Wow. Huge money, £70m being spent.' 'Listen, he's a young guy, been at Leipzig, playing, scoring goals. Last season, he played 45 games and scored 21 goals, six assists, so the guy knows where the back of the net is. That's almost one goal every two games.' 'Yes, it's a different league, it's the Bundesliga, but he does play international football as well, he scores in international football and he knows where the net is.' The former defender continued, 'A lot of people are going to go and suggest, 'Oh, has he got the experience?', and I was one of those guys in that camp going, 'Do you know what? Wimborne aim to build on record-breaking season after summer of change
WIMBORNE Town have undergone a summer of change at the Wyatt Homes Stadium, but The Magpies will be aiming to build upon a record-breaking season last time out. Wimborne finished the 2024/25 season strongly, securing their highest ever finish in the Non-League pyramid when they finished tenth in their first season back in the Southern League Premier South. After winning the Southern League Division One South on the final day of the 2023/24 campaign, The Magpies adjustment to life back in step three wasn't without its challenges, with frequent swings in form. However, The Magpies finished the season as the leagues in-form team which included a club-record 10-match unbeaten run, where they beat rivals Poole Town, second-placed AFC Totton, and drew with eventual-champions Merthyr Town. Members of the step four title-winning squad have returned to the division with Jez Bedford and Matty Neale joining Winchester City, Jack Lovell and Harry Baker joining Shaftesbury, and Harry Morgan joining Wessex Premier side New Milton. Club legend Toby Holmes, who re-signed for Wimborne in December, also left for Shaftesbury, while Matty Burrows and Harvey Wright, who both joined the club last summer, left for Weymouth and Dorchester respectively. Veteran goalkeeper Ross Flitney announced his retirement, utility player Adam Biss left, and in a management re-shuffle Assistant Manager Chris Senior departed, replaced by First Team Coach Luke Hardy. There have also been some eye-catching displays including a 2-1 victory over National South side Salisbury, and a 4-1 hammering of Bognor Regis Town. With the new season around the corner, fans are quietly confident that this young, reinvigorated side can surprise a few and build upon last season's success.
