David, 50, and Victoria, 51, had riled locals with their plans for the barn, with one even objecting that it was "silly".
Green-fingered David had asked planners for the right to build an 'agricultural storage barn for hay/straw and agricultural equipment' on his land.
But the plans were criticised by neighbours, with one moaning: "This is just the latest in a long line of applications to build new structures on this land, plus a giant lake.
"Why do famous people move out to the country and then clutter up their land with endless buildings and make silly alterations? It makes no sense.'

Another disgruntled neighbour who complained to the council stated: "Many people locally indicated to West Oxfordshire Council that the increase in the residential curtilage of this property will see an ever-increasing number of buildings, and to date we have all been proved right.'
Despite the complaints,
The council made the decision that the 'proposed development will not require approval' and stated it can be built in line with the submitted plans.

River Island launches €59 version of Kate Spade's sold out €475 pizza bag

This summer, high streets are being taken over by bedazzled and beaded handbags, and we're huge fans of River Island's latest collection of novelty handbags. With the surge in 'Ibiza fashion', it's no surprise to see this accessory style gaining popularity, but we adore how certain retailers are taking a more playful approach. Thanks to designer brands like Kate Spade and Anya Hindmarch, food, drink and branded handbags have become somewhat trendy, and River Island is one of the first affordable high street brands to hop on this trend. From 7up to baked beans and blueberry matcha, the retailer has truly gone all out with its new range. However, one handbag in particular caught our attention for being an incredible designer alternative. The bag in question is the Beige Premium Beaded Pizza Shoulder Bag, priced at€59. Drawing inspiration from Kate Spade's now sold-out €475 pizza handbag and Judith Leiber's €6.5k pepperoni pizza clutch, River Island's offering is far more affordable, but still just as fun and novel, reports the Mirror. The triangular shaped crossbody bag features detailed beadwork that depicts tomatoes, mushrooms and veggies, and of course, some hanging beads to represent a pizza slice cheese pull. And if you're pondering how to wear this, we suggest over a simple summer co-ord or midi dress to add a little pop of fun to your warm-weather looks. Fans have been raving about the new collection on social media, with one fan declaring it "my dream handbag collection" and another commenting "they're giving Anya Hindmarch vibes". If you are a fan of the Beige Premium Beaded Pizza Shoulder Bag, you might want to check out another show-stopping bag from River Island shoppers are raving over. Last month, River Island unveiled the dazzling Yellow Spicy Marg Beaded Bag, now on sale for €64. Hailing from its exclusive premium collection, the trendy beaded bag boasts a cheeky 'spicy marg' graphic, chic zip-around closure and versatile chain strap. Shoppers are totally obsessed with River Island's Yellow Spicy Marg Beaded Bag. One Instagram fan was lost for words, posting: "omg wow" while another confessed: "Need this bag." A third enthused: "Love that!". Another couldn't help but say: "It's a need" and one bag enthusiast shared: "Obsessed." And, finally, a sixth Instagrammer raved: "Perfect for a summer festival."

'It's what I grew up with': Ed Sheeran says he identifies culturally as Irish

POP SINGER ED Sheeran has said he identifies culturally as Irish – despite being born and raised in England. The 34-year-old Galway Girl singer, who was brought up in Suffolk, has a large Irish family and said he would spend his holidays in the country as a child. 'I class my culture as Irish. I think that's what I grew up with,' Sheeran admitted on the latest episode of The Louis Theroux Podcast. 'My mum's family is very, very small, it's her and her parents, and my dad's family is… he's got seven brothers and sisters. 'We'd spend all of our holidays in Ireland. My first musical experiences were in Ireland, I grew up with trad music in the house. So I identify culturally as Irish, but I was obviously born and raised in Britain. He added that his Irish family culture is 'something that I'm really proud of and grew up with'. 'I feel like just because I was born in Britain, doesn't necessarily mean that I have to just be (British), there's loads of people I know that are half-this or quarter-this,' he said. 'I don't think there's any rules to it. It should be how you feel and how you were raised and what you lean into.' Advertisement Asked if he gets 'a lot of love' in Ireland, he said: 'I'd say it's basically my second home musically. I'd say Ireland is the place that I am most successful musically.' Sheeran previously told BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs that he has Irish family and spent most of his childhood summers, birthdays and Christmases in the country. Also on the podcast, Sheeran reflected on the drawbacks of fame and said he is 'really sensitive' to people taking pictures of his children. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Louis Theroux (@officiallouistheroux) 'My first daughter, six weeks after she was born, we hadn't sent any photos of her whatsoever, but there was paparazzi outside our house that got a photo of her, and it was in the paper and I just found it weird that some strange old man that I'd never met was the only person with an image of my kid on their device. 'It's a strange trade-off because, obviously, to be successful in the music industry, you end up being rich, famous and successful, and those things are things that people go, 'Well, that's the trade-off.' 'But my kids have not signed up to that, and I find it weird that it's normal to take pictures of other people's children if they're famous.' Sheeran is married to Cherry Seaborn, and the couple have two children. The four-time Grammy-winning singer also revealed that he does not own a private jet and likes to travel via train. 'I like the environment, I like trees. I'd find it hard to justify. No one's perfect. When we're doing intense promo trips, there will be the odd time', he told Theroux.
