New York Knicks, Mikal Bridges agree to 4-year extension, per reports
Bridges, who just finished his first season in New York, will be under contract with the Knicks through 2029.
The new deal is expected to have a player option for the 2029-30 season and a trade kicker. The monetary amount is just slightly less max extension number of $156 million.
Bridges has played and started in all 82 games over each of the past two years. He averaged 17.6 points, 3.7 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game during the 2025 season.

Bridges was traded to the Knicks by the Brooklyn Nets in July 2024 as part of a multi-player deal. Bridges spent more than four years in Phoenix before the Nets acquired him from the Suns in February 2023.
He was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team as a member of the Suns following the 2021-22 season.

An investigation into the tragic death found Kiser placed a $25 bet with popular sports betting platform DraftKings at 5:14 p.m., 75 minutes before Trigg was spotted outside by a security camera, according to Kiser's phone data. The wager was for Celtics star Jayson Tatum scoring over 40 points in the game against the Knicks. Kiser was paid out $102.50 after Tatum scored 42 points in the 121-113 loss. The police report was made public after Emilie Kiser successfully petitioned the Arizona Superior Court for Maricopa County to remove two pages regarding her son's death. The filing by the influencer was to censor the reason police recommended Brady Kiser should be charged with Class 4 felony child abuse, according to AZCentral. Police submitted a report asking the Maricopa County Attorney's Office to consider charging Brady Kiser with child abuse with criminal negligence. Officials determined that there was insufficient evidence to charge Brady.

Shedeur Sanders had time on Friday night – some of it in the pocket, but maybe more of it after the game. In the wake of Sanders' positive debut vs. the Carolina Panthers, the rookie quarterback caught up with Cleveland-based reporter and radio personality Tony Grossi. Sanders appeared to take issue with Grossi's negative slant towards him. In the tunnels of Bank of America Stadium, Sanders addressed Grossi directly, and called out his coverage. And he did it with a smile on: "Tony, I be hoping you have something positive to say about me," Sanders tells Grossi in the video (via Well Off Media). "You only say negative stuff about me. Now, a former Los Angeles players has decided to leave the NBA and take his talents elsewhere. According to a report from longtime NBA insider Marc Stein, Cole Swider has decided to depart the league and sign with Anadolu Efes in Türkiye. "Sharpshooter Cole Swider is nearing a deal with Anadolu Efes in Türkiye, sources tell @TheSteinLine," he wrote on X. "After stints with the Lakers, Heat, Pistons and Raptors, Swider is poised to join the growing number of NBAers moving to the EuroLeague and play for ex-Suns coach Igor Kokoškov." Swider was signed by the Lakers to a two-year contract after going undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft. He played in seven games with the team during his rookie season, scoring nine total points to go along with seven rebounds and four assists. Swider ended up playing in 35 total games during his NBA career. He averaged 3.1 points and 1.2 rebounds per game in 8.5 minutes per appearance. He will now look to turn things around overseas with the new opportunity that he has been given. Last season, Swider played in eight games with the Toronto Raptors. It will be interesting to see if the Lakers are done making moves this offseason or if Pelinka has another addition or two up his sleeve.
