Police launch search for man last seen nearly two months ago

Police officers are trying to locate a man who was last seen nearly two months ago. Roland Baddeley, from Llandogo, Monmouthshire, was last seen during the first week of June, but was reported as missing to Gwent Police on Wednesday, July 30. The 60-year-old is of large build, around five foot eight tall, with short grey hair and blue eyes.
He usually wears outdoor clothing such as walking shoes and a rain jacket. Roland has links to York. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Gwent Police.
A spokesman for the force said: "We're appealing for information to find Roland Baddeley, from Llandogo, Monmouthshire, who has been reported as missing.

"Roland, 60, was reported as missing to us on Wednesday 30 July. However, the last confirmed sighting we have of him was in Monmouth in the first week of June.
"He is described as of large build, approximately [five foot eight] with short grey thin hair and blue eyes. He usually wears outdoor clothing, walking shoes and a rain jacket.
"Roland also has links to York.
"Anyone with any information on Roland's whereabouts is asked to call us on 101 or send us a direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2500242361.
"Roland is also urged to get in touch with us."

Man, 23, arrested after riding ‘suspected stolen motorbike' in Newport

A 23-year-old man was arrested after riding a suspected stolen bike' in Newport. During patrols in the Alway area, police officers were alerted to a motorbike being ridden dangerously. A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: 'Thanks to their quick response, officers located the bike, which is suspected to have been stolen the day before. 'The motorbike has now been recovered. A 23-year-old male is in custody on suspicion of Robbery. 'As part of the investigation, a further suspected stolen motorbike has also been recovered. Great teamwork and fast action from our officers to keep the community safe.'
