Ex-prison guard 'wants to rekindle relationship' that saw her jailed, mum claims

Daily Mirror17-05-2025

Prison guard Morgan Farr-Varney's relationship with a drug dealer inmate earned her 10 months behind bars - the mum of the inmate claims she hopes to continue the romance
A prison guard who 'f****d' up her life because of an affair with an inmate hopes their relationship will continue, according to the criminal's mother. Morgan Farr Varney would have sex with prisoner Jordan Stones while she was supposed to be guarding him at a Yorkshire jail.
The 24-year-old guard was working at HMP Lindholme near Doncaster when she had the affair, which lasted 10 months. It is now alleged that she wishes to continue her relationship with Stones, 30, who is serving over five years for dealing cocaine.

The dealer also seems keen on the pair being reunited, after posting photos on his Facebook page. The images show pictures of her on the walls in his cell.
'They are still together,' Farr Varney's mother Donna March, 47, told the Mail. 'They've been together for two and a half years. All of his belongings are at her house for when he gets out of jail.'
Farr Varney became briefly known to viewers of This Morning last year when she spoke of her problems with huge bills after she bought braces from an online dental firm that later folded. Ms March said she and Farr Varney have become close and she would visit her and take her daughters out for day trips. She added that her son's lover was like 'another daughter'.
Farr Varney, who became a guard in 2022, was arrested in January 2023 after suspicions were sparked when she was spotted with him on one of the wings at Lindholme. The pair, who exchanged love letters, were seen in CCTV entering a cupboard. The relationship was poorly hidden, with Farr Varney posting messages on her the Facebook pages of her lover's siblings.
In a police interview, Farr Varney said he had 'f****d her life up' after she had also 'proper fallen in love'. Her sordid relationship earned her 10 months in jail this week after she admitted misconduct in a public office.

Stones, meanwhile, is behind bars after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine. Another charge was for possession, adding to the lags criminal record that includes him being jailed aged 20 for selling heroin.
Following a number of cases that have involved prison officers having relationship with inmates in recent years - this includes ex-Wandsworth prison officer Linda De Sousa Abreu who was filmed having sex with an inmate - a senior cop said Farr Varney's sentencing was a warning to others. Detective Constable Scott Jarvis, from South Yorkshire Police's Prison Anti-Corruption Unit said reports of 'improper relationships' between staff and inmates are taken 'incredibly seriously'.
He said: 'These types of relationships are thankfully rare, but when they do happen, they threaten to undermine the reputation of the prison service and other hard-working prison officers who abide by the rules and regulations attached to the job. I hope this sentencing sends out a clear message to any prison officers thinking of committing similar offences that if you engage in this type of criminality, you will be investigated by police and you will be brought to justice.'

Renna O'Rourke, 19, from Arizona, tragically passed on Sunday after being in an intensive care unit for a week. Renna went into cardiac arrest before later being declared brain dead after using a cleaning product to take part in the deadly challenge. The teen's heartbroken dad Aaron O'Rouke described how his daughter dreamed of fame. He told AZFamily: "She always said, 'I'm gonna be famous, Dad. Just you watch. I'm gonna be famous', and unfortunately this is not under the most optimal of circumstances." Aaron and his wife Dana shared their daughter's tragic story to raise awareness of the social media challenge. Dana said: "There's no ID required. It's odorless. It's everything kids look for. "They can afford it, they can get it, and it doesn't show in mom and dad's drug test." The mom explained how Renna and her boyfriend used an app delivery service to have the cleaning agent delivered to their door. She told 12news: "[Renna] and her boyfriend had Door Dashed product to my house and I didn't know. "It's keyboard cleaner. I didn't know what they were doing with it. Pheobe Bishop cops arrest 34-year-old flatmate who was last to see missing Aussie teen on explosive journey to airport "We want to make sure that we use our tragedy so that no other parent has to experience looking at their child on life support and a ventilator and not breathing on her own all because she huffed out of a can." Dr. Randy Weisman, from the HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center, explained how inhaling aerosols can make users feel drunk or euphoric for a few minutes. But such use can result in liver failure, heart failure and lung disease among other irreversible issues - or death. He told AZFamily: "This is extremely concerning. "When they inhale these chemicals in the gas it will actually replace the oxygen within their lungs and within the rest of their body." Renna's parents said that the only light to come from her passing is that her organs have gone on to save at least six other people. Mom Dana said: "Through that we're finding strength and purpose. "She will be unbelievably missed, leaving the most aching hole in our lives, but if her life is to mean anything, we are going to do what we can to prevent somebody else's child from being where ours is right now. "She will be unbelievably missed, leaving the most aching hole in our lives, but if her life is to mean anything, we are going to do what we can to prevent somebody else's child from being where ours is right now." A post on the GoFundMe set up for Renna read: "On Sunday, June 1st at 1:30pm, our wonderful daughter, after 4 days in the ICU, was pronounced brain dead. "She was the light in every room she walked into, and the pain that her family and friends feel is simply immeasurable. "We want to use the proceeds of this fundraiser to cover the extensive medical bills, burial costs, therapy costs, and to spread awareness about the dangers of Huffing/Dusting, the practice of inhaling keyboard cleaner or similar."

Scots teacher who made ‘£60k a month' on OnlyFans struck off after pupils found saucy sex pics

The ex-physics teacher was found to be punting X-rated pictures of herself RAUNCHY MISS AXED Scots teacher who made '£60k a month' on OnlyFans struck off after pupils found saucy sex pics Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A TEACHER has been struck off after pupils discovered her OnlyFans profile online. Kirsty Buchan, 34, quit her job at Bannerman High School in Glasgow after her saucy side hustle was uncovered. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Kirsty Buchan has been struck off from teaching Credit: Alan MacGregor Ewing 3 The ex-Bannerman High teacher was caught sharing indecent images on OnlyFans Credit: Kirsty Buchan The ex-physics teacher was found to be punting X-rated pictures of herself. Buchan, of Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, called herself Jessica Jackrabbit on OnlyFans, a site where users pay a monthly subscription to access explicit content. She described herself as a "good teacher gone bad" with a "sexy tight body". Buchan advertised her OnlyFans account through Instagram, which pupils spotted, and previously claimed to have made £60,000 in just one month through the adult site. She was previously warned by her headteacher about her "poor judgment" on social media. And the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GCTS) has taken action by striking her off the teaching register. The regulation body found that Buchan had failed to conceal her identity and profession. It also concluded that her behaviour lacked integrity, as reported by the BBC. Gary Burton, solicitor and presenting officer for the GTCS, said the mum-of-one had "used her profession as a selling tool". He added that Buchan appeared to have backed up her OnlyFans work in media interviews and that Bannerman High was "now synonymous with having an OnlyFans teacher". Hundreds of pupils cheered on a teacher about to undergo lifesaving brain surgery - by rocking out to ACDC'S Thunderstruck She resigned from her position at the school in December 2022 after complaints were made. Buchan declined to appear or give evidence at the GTCS hearing. Bannerman High headteacher, Seonaidh Black, said Buchan was a "bubbly and enthusiastic" person who "wanted to do a good job". But she added that on a "couple of occasions", Buchan was unclear on boundaries with pupils concerning her social media profiles being "open where pupils could access them". Ms Black said that a colleague told her images of Buchan's OnlyFans profile were seen by S5 and S6 pupils. Senior schoolboys asked Ms Black if she had "heard the news?" and that she should "look out for Jessica Jackrabbit". Ms Black added that it was "obvious everyone knew what was going on". She tried to contact Buchan after talks with HR, but couldn't reach her. Buchan's OnlyFans profile was discovered just days before teachers went on strike over pupil behaviour. Ms Black said Buchan's activity online and the walkouts have had a "huge impact" on the school. Following a probe, Glasgow City Council said: "The council has a code of conduct that all employees should adhere to and a teacher who has actively pursued a second income on this type of website brings their school, the council and their profession into disrepute." The GTCS has been contacted for comment.
