Married Florida math teacher, 32, accused of classroom sex with student during lunchtime
Sarah Jacas is listed as a mathematics teacher at Corner Lake Middle School, which is a part of Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) in the Orlando metro area.

She was arrested on Monday and faced a judge on Tuesday, local reports say.
On June 10, a now-16-year-old boy told investigators he had sex with Jacas when he was 14, according to an arrest warrant affidavit viewed by Fox News Digital.
The alleged sexual encounters were said to have taken place between December 2022 and April 2023.
'That individual is a 10-month employee and is not working at OCPS during the summer break,' an OCPS spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

The school's principal sent a message to the school community that said, 'I can assure you I take all allegations very seriously and there is an ongoing investigation by law enforcement and the district's Office of Professional Standards.'
Sarah Jacas was arrested on Monday and faced a judge for the first time on Tuesday afternoon.

'Although I cannot discuss employee matters, please know this person will not be returning to campus pending the outcome of the investigation,' the message continued.
The alleged victim told investigators he would eat lunch in Jacas' classroom 'because he had issues fitting in and associating with the right crowd,' the affidavit said.

The two allegedly texted each other until the minor's parents found out.
The alleged sexual encounters were said to have taken place between December 2022 and April 2023.

When that communication was cut off, Jacas allegedly used an Instagram account to communicate.

The relationship was eventually discovered by Jacas' husband, who threatened to report her, according to the affidavit.
Jacas faces charges including two counts of lewd or lascivious battery (custodial authority), two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation (custodial authority) and one count of sex offense – authority figure solicit/engage sexual conduct statutory rape, according to online court records, with bond set at $19,000.

Building sites in quaint Oxfordshire village 'targeted' by men in balaclavas
Men in balaclavas have reportedly stolen tools from building sites in a quaint Oxfordshire village. Thames Valley Police has reported that in the early hours today (Tuesday, August 19), at least three men with balaclavas were seen 'acting suspiciously' around Fifield village, near Burford. in particular they were said to be looking at properties being built or renovated with tools taken from several sites and a van broken into. Tools were stolen from the van as well. READ MORE: A spokesperson for police said: 'We want to make you aware that in the early hours of this morning, there were at least three males wearing balaclavas seen acting suspiciously in the Fifield area. 'They appeared to be looking at various properties before targeting those currently being built or renovated. Fifield village near Burford, where the incidents occurred (Image: Google Maps) 'Builders' tools were stolen from several sites, and a resident's van was also broken into, with further tools taken.' The spokesperson added that they 'strongly encourage' residents to 'take extra precautions to secure their properties'. Among the actions a resident can take are to install a monitored burglar alarm and use hardwired CCTV systems with good night vision. Police also advise that all tools and equipment are locked inside storage units and marked using Selecta DNA or by engraving a postcode. Vans should be locked; proper fencing and lighting should be in place around renovation sites; and any unusual activity should be reported. Police added: 'We appreciate your vigilance and cooperation. By working together and taking preventative steps, we can help protect our community.'

File Photo by Robert Ghement/EPA-EFE Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Influencer Andrew Tate filed federal lawsuits against Meta and TikTok that contend the social media platforms slandered him. The suits, filed last week in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleged "defamation, civil conspiracy, and tortious interference, accusing both tech giants of publishing false, reckless, and inflammatory statements that portrayed Tate as a sex trafficker, without evidence, without trial, and without due process." Tate said that both companies put out public statements after banning him in 2022 that accused him of criminal behavior and human trafficking, whcih he alleged inteded to denigrate him and purposely sabotage his reputation. "We are not just defending a man's name," Tate's lawyer Joseph D. McBride said in a press release. "We are drawing a line in the sand: powerful institutions do not get to declare guilt by press release and hide behind algorithms when challenged in a court of law." The suits are seeking both punitive damages and compensation, although it is unclear how much money is being demanded. Tate posted to X Sunday that he has allegedly "allocated [$400 million] of personal funds to battle Google, Meta, TikTok," as well as any "Twitter account that defamed me." Twitter is the former name of X, and the lawsuit does not mention it or Google. Tate also said he will challenge the BBC and "Every single girl who lied about me" in the post. Tate and his brother Tristan Tate have been charged by British prosecutors in May with human trafficking, rape and actual bodily harm, plus Andrew Tate has additionally been accused controlling prostitution. They both also face similar charges of human trafficking and sexual misconduct in Romania. The two returned to the United States in February, and Florida's attorney general opened an investigation into them both after they arrived in Miami.
