Good Morning Britain fans distracted by Kate Garraway 'detail' minutes into programme

Good Morning Britain viewers quickly shared their frustration after spotting an awkward Kate Garraway detail on Thursday
Good Morning Britain fans were left distracted by a Kate Garraway "detail" just minutes into Thursday's (July 17) programme.

During the latest broadcast of the popular ITV morning show, Kate and her co-host Richard Madeley brought the nation up to speed with the most recent developments from the UK and beyond.

The pair discussed next week's five-day strike by resident doctors, and had a chat with actor Martin Shaw, who once passed up the opportunity to portray James Bond.

In addition to this, Kate and Richard offered guidance on child safety following warnings about the risks associated with giving slushie drinks to children under seven.
Weather updates were regularly provided by Laura Tobin in the studio, while Marverine Cole delivered the rest of the day's news bulletins, reports the Mirror.
Yet, it was the apparent lack of coordination between Kate and Richard that caught the attention of viewers, as they seemed to frequently talk over one another.
One viewer took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment: "Richard and Kate talking over each other- awkward lol."
Another expressed their frustration: "Why are Richard and Kate over talking each other. F****** annoying!" and a third lamented: "Richard is not letting Kate finish her sentences. So painful to watch."

A fourth chimed in with a similar observation: "I get the feeling Kate and Richard don't like each other. It's always a match on who will talk first."
And yet another viewer noted: "All I am hearing is one female presenter talking over the top of everyone else."

Meanwhile, another exasperated fan issued a demand, saying, "@GMB, can you please get Richard and Kate to stop talking over each other? It's horrible to watch."
This isn't the first time that Kate has distracted GMB viewers, as she was recently spotted wearing the same outfit used in another ITV fashion segment.
Elsewhere on today's show, Kate and Richard spoke to former Celebrity MasterChef star Aasmah Mir, following the news of both Gregg Wallace and John Torode's sacking from the show.
The hosts were also joined by entertainment reporter Richard Arnold, who shared exciting news about the final season of Stranger Things and HBO's new Harry Potter series.

Terminator star died agonising 'lingering' death after horrific home accident

A rising Hollywood star was found dead by his friends in the early hours of the morning after he failed to turn up to a rehearsal - he had endured an agonising death it transpired upon investigation and was also hiding a chronic illness Best known for his roles as navigator Pavel Chekov in the Star Trek franchise reboot and Kyle Reese in Terminator Salvation, up and coming actor Anton Yelchin's future in Hollywood was looking very bright indeed. However the young star's life was tragically cut short at just 27 years old when he was involved in an horrific car accident. ‌ Confirming the news of his death to the Mirror in 2016, his publicist Jennifer Allen said in a statement: "Actor Anton Yelchin was killed in a fatal traffic collision early this morning. His family requests you respect their privacy at this time." ‌ The much-loved actor, who had starred in TV shows such as NYPD, ER and Curb Your Enthusiasm, was expected at a rehearsal at 11pm on the Saturday night but failed to turn up. ‌ Wimbledon star Flavio Cobolli's mysterious girlfriend and vow to 'stay alone in life' His worried friends discovered him in the early hours of 19 June 2016 dead outside his San Fernando Valley home. He was pinned between his car and a security fence. Pictures from the scene showed the bent bars of the metal gate. It's thought after leaving his home he had got out of his Jeep Cherokee to check his locked gate for mail and the vehicle rolled backwards down the steep driveway, trapping him. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office identified the cause of death as 'blunt traumatic asphyxia'. ‌ His heartbroken co-star Zachary Quinto, who played Spock in the Star Trek films, wrote a tribute at the time. It read: "Our dear friend. Our comrade. Our Anton. One of the most open and intellectually curious people I have ever had the pleasure to know. So enormously talented and generous of heart. Wise beyond his years. And gone before his time. All love and strength to his family at this impossible time of grief." Star Trek director JJ Abrams also penned a heartfelt tribute. "You were brilliant. You were kind. You were funny as hell, and supremely talented. And you weren't here nearly long enough. Missing you... JJ." A lawsuit later stated: "Anton Yelchin was crushed and lingered alive for some time, trapped and suffocating until his death." The manufacturer of the Grand Cherokee was reportedly aware certain models had problems with 'rollaway' incidents, with drivers being unsure if they were parked or in gear. At the time of Anton's death, the roll away problem had been tied to at least 68 injuries, 266 crashes and 308 reports of property damage. Unfortunately a software patch didn't reach dealers until after his accident. ‌ Fiat Chrysler and his family eventually reached an out of court settlement, with the manufacturer saying it was "pleased" to have reached an "amicable resolution" in the matter. The car company also extended its "deepest sympathies" to the Yelchin family for their tragic loss. Born in Russia, Anton emigrated to the USA with his parents, celebrated Russian figure skaters Victor and Irina Yelchin, at six months old. He had a love for TV and movies from a young age and in 2001, at just 11 years old, he landed a role in Hearts in Atlantis opposite Sir Antony Hopkins. He found early success in Indie films before landing his parts in Star Trek and Terminator. ‌ After his death, in 2019 Love Antosha - a film about Anton's life was released. It features personal footage, archives, letters and interviews with leading Hollywood stars who knew him, such as Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Anya Taylor-Joy, Willem Dafoe and Simon Pegg. The film also revealed he was secretly suffering with the chronic and inherited illness cystic fibrosis. The genetic condition causes damage to the lungs, digestive system and other organs and shortens life expectancy. Love Antosha's director Garret Price told Fox News: "The first thing that surprised me was his chronic illness, which he was secretly dealing with throughout his career. And that in itself was totally admirable. No one knew about it. Even some of his closest friends didn't know about it until he passed away." Anton's parents remain committed to preserving his legacy. They chose the Hollywood Forever Cemetery where industry greats such as Rudolph Valentino, Judy Garland and John Huston were laid to rest as his final resting place. They erected a life-size bronze figure of the young star and are seen nearly every day at his grave. "I've never encountered a vigil like theirs," co-owner Tyler Cassity told Variety for its profile on the cemetery.

David Beckham says 'it looks terrible' after Victoria shares his horror haircut

Victoria Beckham shared David's 'terrible' trim with their fans. Victoria Beckham 's recent Instagram post revealed her husband David's awful haircut that his wife deemed 'terrible'. While David Beckham is usually somewhat of a style icon, it's unlikely that his new hair will be starting any trends. ‌ Victoria asks David while holding the camera to his face: "what have you done?" When he refuses to respond, she asks him the same question again. ‌ Sheepishly, the former England football player looks away from the camera while strategically placing his hand on his head to hide the hair do. He then admits: "The thing of the clippers fell off my head." ‌ Revealing the accident, he bends his head towards Victoria who zooms in on his shaving disaster as she struggles to contain her laughter. Looking up at her, David says with a serious look on his face that it was "not funny." ‌ And in response, the mum of four says: "Do you know the hours of content that the kids have got from this. It does not looks good. I'm going to always be honest with you. It looks terrible." And it seems her followers shared the same sentiment, reports the Mirror. One person wrote in a comment: "I like the victory laugh." Another penned: "Look at the good side it's summer and you can allow your head to catch sun rays. Victoria is very supportive and sincere." ‌ But not everyone seemed to agree as one person said: "I always find vb a bit condescending to David." It comes after pictures emerged of their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham taking time out to enjoy a holiday in St Tropez. ‌ And while there where pictures of the couple, who have only been married for three years, putting on a united front while hugging and kissing on her father's yacht, body language expert Judi James spotted something completely different. Nicola is seen clutching Brooklyn's hand as they made their way off the yacht and she looked strained. And this prompted Judi to recognise that Brooklyn's natural protective nature has kicked in amid the feud with his family. ‌ In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Judi explains: "With her distant, expressionless eye gaze and her hand either clutching Brooklyn's arm or encased in his hand, Nicola is looking like the tragic heroine here, perhaps wanting to suggest some vulnerability and strain behind her normally cool and confident exterior." She added: "This is a look that might make most caring husbands wary and trigger their protective side, which is what appears to have happened with Brooklyn here. "While his wife walks along in her dramatic black fur tippet and with her hand placed on her bag to provide an emphatic and perhaps symbolic display of her wedding rings, Brooklyn looks more relaxed and dominant." Judi continued: "Clutching her hand in his with his, with the back of his hand showing fully and the wrist bent in a protective clasp. His mood looks confident and even rather upbeat here as though he enjoys being the strong guy in the relationship. His chest is splayed, his arms are held out and there's a smile brewing on his face." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Gino D'Acampo kicks off 'apology tour' with bizarre social media blitz as he hugs and kisses female employees in a 'bid to be uncancelled' after ITV axe following accusations of inappropriate behaviour towards women

Gino D'Acampo has kicked off his reported 'apology tour' with a string of bizarre social media posts that saw him kissing and hugging female employees, following his ITV axe amid a series of misconduct claims. In recent months the TV chef, 48, has faced a string of accusations of inappropriate behaviour towards women - which he has denied. ITV subsequently pulled all of Gino's shows from its upcoming schedules after the accusations were revealed in an investigation. But now in his bid to be uncanceled, Gino returned to the kitchen for a 'cheery corporate video' at one of his five remaining restaurants, after they were saved from closure earlier this year amid his company's mounting debts. And in one Instagram clip he offered his chefs tips before sharing warm hugs with female kitchen workers and pecking one on the cheek. A source told The Sun that while Gino knows he is 'persona non grata at ITV' he cannot be stopped 'having a voice' and 'rebuilding his brand' on social media. They said: 'The happy cheery corporate videos on Instagram are always part and parcel of any apology tour. Gino wants to maintain a united front and thinks the power of persuasion goes a long way'. 'Gino hopes people will see it and think "he's such a nice, down to earth guy, not too high and mighty to work in his own restaurant and look at everyone getting on with him, having laughs and banter"'. They went on to claim that amid Gregg Wallace and John Torode's Masterchef axing and fears the spotlight might turn back to him, Gino hopes to use his new social media presence as a 'distraction'. 'He's not naive, he knows he's not getting a primetime ITV slot anytime soon. But if he proves he can behave and audiences abroad respond well, the UK execs might just look twice'. MailOnline have contacted Gino's reps for comment. Following the chef's axe an insider told MailOnline: 'He's in a lot of trouble and ITV don't want to be in a BBC situation [with Gregg Wallace ] or have a repeat of Schofield so they are covering all their bases.' But now Gino has revealed he'll be back on screens this September with An Italian In Malta, a brand-new travelogue exploring the Mediterranean island he now calls a second home. And in one Instagram clip he offered his chefs tips before sharing warm hugs with female kitchen workers and pecking one on the cheek 'Gino hopes people will see it and think "he's such a nice, down to earth guy, not too high and mighty to work in his own restaurant and look at everyone getting on with him,"' Gino's firm who control the restaurants, Upmarket Leisure Ltd, has allegedly been struggling with mounting debt and a sale of the company fell through (pictured restaurant in London) He told The Mirror: 'The idea is to show everyone all over the world a bit about the country - I want to find the perfect restaurant, the perfect recipe, the perfect spot, I will speak to the local people, what they cook and how they cooked 200 years ago.' In another twist, Gino has also been quietly filming an acting project in Ireland, playing a grease-covered mechanic, marking his first proper stab at a scripted role. He revealed: 'I am playing a part in a series, my part is this Italian-American mechanic that is always in trouble with the police or always in trouble with the law and then he became a mechanic and he's helping the main character in the show. 'This is acting now, I'm not becoming a real mechanic, I'm useless at stuff like that.' MailOnline has approached representatives for Gino for comment. The comeback news follows months out of the limelight for the This Morning star, who stepped back from TV duties after ITV News published allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour - including claims of aggressive, sexualised language - spanning more than a decade. Gino said he 'firmly denied' the accusations, calling them 'simply not in my nature.' Despite his TV career imploding following the allegations, which sparked job offers to dry up, Gino insists he's ready to move forward, adding that not everyone has turned their back on him. Addressing rumours of a fallout with long-time co-star Gordon Ramsay, Gino insisted the two are still tight and described him as 'a very generous, cool guy'. He told The Mirror: 'If I FaceTime here he would answer of course, but if I FaceTime him and I'm on a show he will be really annoyed.' Earlier this month, Gino launched his first international restaurant, Luciano, in Malta, however, not everyone will welcome Gino's return with open arms. Just last month, during a risqué radio interview, the former I'm A Celeb star sparked fresh backlash with a string of crass comments about women's bodies claiming a 'real man' likes women to have 'things to grab' and admitting a preference for curvier figures. Responding when one of the presenters, named Nicole, said that she regularly dieted, he said: 'Only dogs like bones. 'A real man, he wants the meat, you know, the things to grab. Don't get too skinny, otherwise it's like, no.'
