Miley Cyrus also revealed that she has no intention of hitting the road anytime soon.
Miley Cyrus thinks it's 'really hard to maintain sobriety" while touring. The 32-year-old pop star hasn't paired an album with live shows since her Bangerz Tour back in 2014, and Miley has now revealed that she has no intention of hitting the road anytime soon.
During an appearance on Good Morning America, Miley – who quit using marijuana in 2017 – explained: 'It's really hard to maintain sobriety when you're on the road, which is kind of a pillar of stability in my life. None of this that I create would even be possible without the way I think about things."
Miley also thinks there's an insufficient 'infrastructure" for touring artists. The pop star said: 'I do have the physical ability. I have the opportunities to tour, but I wish I had the desire, but I don't. I also don't think that there's an infrastructure that supports artists."
Miley acknowledged that touring has negatively impacted her mental health in the past. The Wrecking Ball hitmaker said: 'I do think it's really hard to keep mental wellness." In 2023, Miley admitted that touring 'isn't healthy" for her.
The singer has enjoyed huge success in her music career, but Miley believes that touring 'erases [her] humanity" and stifles her ability to write new songs. The Flowers hitmaker explained in a TikTok video: 'Having every day the relationship between you and other humans being subject and observer isn't healthy for me because it erases my humanity and my connection. And without my humanity and my connection, I can't be a songwriter, which is my priority."
Miley also reflected on the differences between herself and her dad, music star Billy Ray Cyrus. The chart-topping singer admitted that she had financial and emotional stability during her younger years, whereas her dad was forced to struggle through the early years of his life. Miley explained: 'My dad grew up the opposite of me. I grew up on a soundstage, like in a house with a family who was super close and all lived under the same roof, and I grew up financially stable and emotionally stable, I think, in my relationships also. That's something that my dad didn't have."

‘Celebrate Ganeshotsav Like Never Before': Shelar Blames Urban Naxals For Attack On Hindu Fests

Ashish Shelar in Pen: 'There has been a systematic attempt to undermine our festivals like Ganeshotsav, Dahi Handi and Nagpanchami under the guise of environmental concerns." Maharashtra's Cultural Affairs Minister Adv Ashish Shelar on Sunday made an emotional appeal to the people of the state to celebrate this year's Ganeshotsav with unmatched fervour and pride, declaring it a State Festival while warning of a 'well-crafted plot" by so-called urban Naxals to target Hindu traditions. Speaking in the heart of Pen — a small town that has, for generations, given life to millions of Ganesha idols adorning homes and pandals across the country — Shelar's message struck a deeply personal chord with the community of sculptors whose livelihoods are entwined with this beloved festival. Addressing a packed gathering of artisans, local leaders, and residents at Tambadshet, of Raigad district, which is also known as hub of artisans, Shelar did not mince words. 'There has been a systematic attempt to undermine our festivals like Ganeshotsav, Dahi Handi and Nagpanchami under the guise of environmental concerns. But behind this is a deliberate conspiracy by urban Naxal elements with backing from Congress, the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) and the Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena," Shelar said, receiving thunderous applause from idol makers who see their craft as a sacred tradition. Shelar recalled how the ban on Plaster of Paris (POP) idols, which once threatened to choke the local economy of places like Pen, was part of this larger narrative. 'Had we not stood firm, thousands of idol makers would have been left without work. Our Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ji and I fought this battle shoulder to shoulder — in the courts, on the streets and with the people — and we won," he said, promising continued protection of age-old practices. For many sculptors in attendance, Shelar's announcement that Ganeshotsav will now be officially celebrated as Maharashtra's State Festival felt like justice served. 'This festival feeds our families, binds our communities and keeps our traditions alive. Today we feel seen," said Abhay Mhatre, President of the Maharashtra Ganesh Sculptors' Association. As Shelar ended his address with chants of 'Ganapati Bappa Morya!", the message was loud and clear — this Ganeshotsav, Maharashtra will not just worship an idol but also stand guard against forces that, he said, seek to dilute its cultural soul. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Saiyaara Mania Peaks As Fan Attends Screening With IV Drip; Netizens Say 'Next Level Dedication'

A dedicated fan of Saiyaara watched the film with an IV drip still attached, showing just how deep the love runs for Mohit Suri's emotional romance. Mohit Suri's Saiyaara isn't just a box office success—it's turning into a full-blown cultural phenomenon. With its searing portrayal of love and heartbreak, the debut film of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda has struck such a nerve with Gen Z audiences that fans are taking their devotion to extreme, and at times bizarre, levels. A video that has now gone viral on Reddit shows a young man in a theatre—eyes glassy, hand hooked up to an IV drip—watching Saiyaara with full emotional investment. His friends capture the scene as he wipes away a tear during a poignant moment in the film. In another video on the same man's Instagram, he's seen walking down a dimly lit road, the IV still dangling from his arm as the haunting title track of Saiyaara plays in the background. Based on the details shared, the fan appears to be from Satara, Maharashtra. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Iamfaisal (@iamfaisal04) While the man's dedication might have been born out of genuine fandom, netizens had mixed reactions—ranging from amused to exasperated. 'Bhai bimar h tu Allah ko yaad kar, Saiyaara se kaam na chale," one user wrote, urging him to prioritize his health. Another chimed in, 'Itni dedication? Hospital se uth kar film dekhne aa gaya?" A Redditor went a step further with social commentary: 'Iss generation ke liye pani save karna is not worth it." As dramatic as it may seem, this isn't an isolated case. Several videos have surfaced of young fans screaming, crying, even fainting during screenings of Saiyaara. Some theatres have reported a frenzy not seen since the peak of the Dhoom or Aashiqui 2 era. But it's not just the public reaction that's making waves. The film itself has shattered records. According to an official statement from Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara raked in ₹21.25 crore on its opening day at the domestic box office. 'It's the biggest opening day ever for a debutant-led film, the career-best opening for director Mohit Suri, and the highest Day 1 numbers for a romantic drama," the statement read. What's more surprising is how this success came about—with zero traditional promotions. 'No interviews, no city visits, no reels, no influencer content, no visibility. Just the power of strong content marketed to the entire nation," the production house proudly declared. Featuring Ahaan Panday, who makes his much-awaited Bollywood debut, and Aneet Padda, known for her work in Big Girls Don't Cry and Salaam Venky, Saiyaara taps into raw, old-school romantic storytelling—a signature of Mohit Suri's earlier hits like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain. And judging by the hysteria around it, it looks like the film has found its mark. First Published: July 20, 2025, 21:00 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
