Fan Theories About Olivia Rodrigo's Third Album, Since the OR3 Era Is Nearly Upon Us
Now, she's given her dedicated Livies the confirmation they need that OR3 is on the way.
In a newsletter shared with fans on August 11, the Grammy winner revealed that the GUTS chapter of her musical story has come to an end. 'The GUTS world tour is officially over!! thank u 4 making each and every show so special,' she wrote, in part, before sending fans into a spiral with a specifically placed '3' in the middle of her message.
She continued, 'The end of the GUTS era feels bittersweet, but I'm sooooo excited for all that's y3t to come!!!! speaking of what's next... clear ur calendar tomorrow at 9 am pt for something special i've been working on to celebrate all our GUTS tour memories together.'
That may have been the first time she confirmed a new era is upon us in writing, but after her headlining set at Osheaga on August 3, the artist ditched her signature GUTS rings and handed them out to fans in the crowd. 'rings off!!!!! that's a wrap on guts tour!!! until next time I love y'all💋🎸🎂,' she captioned a clip she posted to TikTok.
She also wore a bedazzled '3' on her shirt that night, signaling her next era was coming.
However, all the way back in July 2023, Liv revealed she was already conceptualizing her third album (yes, before GUTS even dropped in its entirety) during an interview with Open House Party.
'I've actually been thinking about it a lot,' she said at the time. 'I just barely finished GUTS, so I can't get too ahead of myself, but, yeah, I definitely am ideating. The wheels are spinning.'
At the premiere of her GUTS World Tour film in 2024, Entertainment Tonight asked if her post-tour plans included working on OR3 and if it would be 'love inspired.' Her cheeky response: 'We'll see! You'll have to listen, tune in.'
Olivia later told Harper's Bazaar, 'I love trying to distill my emotions into songs. It's one of my favorite things in the world, and I hope in the future I'll continue to make albums that are fresh and exciting to me creatively.'
Ofc, she's been pretty tight-lipped about her upcoming project. We don't even know what it's called yet, but in the meantime, we can scroll through fan theories and see which ones could potentially come true.
What SOUR and GUTS have in common—aside from their purple-tinted visuals, of course—is the fact that both albums have four-letter titles. As we hold out for OR3 announcement any day now, fans theorize that the album could be titled...
Ahead of GUTS, a lot of theories pointed to SWEET as a contender. Fans are sticking with the theory for the OR3 era, which they feel will be inspired by her romance with Louis Partridge á la 'So American.' Others have ruled SWEET out entirely as it's a five-letter word.
Some have theorized that OR3 will be called BURN and have a red-and-orange theme, as Liv has famously included fire in her music videos and on tour. She also introduced hints of red during the GUTS era.
The most popular theory? That'd be LUCK. Tons of fans have picked up on Olivia's affinity for ladybugs and polka dots recently, and the insect is known to symbolize good luck. Her previous eras included butterfly imagery, so it seems likely that ladybugs can be introduced in the O-Rod universe, too.
Olivia also said she was the 'luckiest girl alive' in an Instagram post celebrating her birthday. Ofc, she was decked out in polka dots and ladybug emojis were present in her caption.

Inside the lucrative business of social media 'clipping.'
Posted Aug 13, 2025 at 4:11 PM UTC Inside the lucrative business of social media 'clipping.' The Wall Street Journal interviewed several 'clippers,' or the people who dice up longer videos into short, grabby clips that get posted to accounts across Instagram and TikTok. One person, whose clipping business earns $20,000 to $30,000 per month, told the WSJ that 'the only way to be famous in today's internet world is with clips.' Classic Novels First Lines Trivia — BuzzFeed Quizzes
If you've read literally anything I've posted before, this won't be a shock: I'm a huge bookworm. I read like the world's ending and have somehow converted half my community into fellow book nerds. My Indigo Plus (shoutout to Canadians) pays for itself by mid-January, and Goodreads is one of my most-used apps. And yes, while I fully support audiobooks — because sometimes a bitch needs to make dinner and power through a slow classic you feel morally obligated to read — I still can't get on board with e-readers. I either want the dramatic performance in my ears, or I need that paper-smell-in-the-face experience. No in-between. Whether you're word-obsessed like me or barely made it through this intro, it's time to test your classic lit knowledge. Let's start on page one, with the very first sentence... Here's a fun fact: Jane Austen published her novels anonymously, credited only as 'A Lady.' Even her own family didn't know she wrote Pride and Prejudice for a while. Pretty dope, honestly. I dream of anonymously dropping a bestseller, casually buying a house, and letting my family spiral into 'Did you win the lottery?' theories. Not that Jane could've done that — patriarchy and all — but secret fame? Kind of rock 'n' roll. I literally just got butterflies watching this GIF. I need to walk away and catch my breath. The chemistry is unbearable. And for more fun quizzes, make sure you follow BuzzFeed Canada on TikTok and Instagram!

Standard poodles were originally bred as water retrievers, making them highly effective gun dogs, according to The Spruce Pets. Their keen intelligence and strong swimming abilities enable them to retrieve game from water and land efficiently. Hunters value them for their versatility and trainability, often using them in various hunting scenarios. Despite their elegant appearance, poodles are hardworking and dedicated in the field, showcasing the breed's historical roots as functional hunting companions. TikTokers were quick to react and expressed similar affectionate experiences with their poodles. "Look all dogs love their owners. But poodles love humans. They have a studied preference for bonding with humans over other dogs or animals," said Don. "The poodle paws are so real although mine likes to slam them into your face," shared another user. "I am not a couples expert but, I think that poodle is going for your husband," quipped another user. "Poodles are the most loving loyal dogs," shared another user. "Your husband ain't married to you he's married to the poodle," said Charlotte. "I have to warn everyone my poodle LOVES hugs. She will wrap her front legs around your neck or waist," said Marenna.
